Well, I'm interested in what the people on this forum are.

What do you guys think about homosexuality? Is someone here homosexual or bisexual? Answer, simple: I am bisexual. I like both woman, both man. (:

Why would you bed anything other than the compatible match that you were designed interface with? I ask as an honest question and not an insult.

I'm assuming that you mean that out of curiosity, and not as discrimination. It's because one person loves another, or is attracted to another. I don't see any reason why that's so hard to comprehend.

Because not everyone thinks that male/female relationships are the only 'right' way. Hell, even animals can be homosexual so it's not that odd if you think about it.

Before this thread goes any further please remember to be understanding and any people who find same sex relations 'odd' keep it to yourself if you think it will offend.

I'm afraid this topic may result in the kind of discussion this Forum doesn't favor; religious, political, sexual et.al. issues. I don't want to lock any doors for personal reasons, but I want to check with other moderators.

Until that, I lock this topic.

Unlocked. Sorry about any annoyance, nothing personal involved.

Ok, im going for it, But please understand i do NOT intend any offence, and if your are offended, please say and i will gladly delete this post.

I have nothing against Gay & Bi people from both sexes, What i do not understand is, Why there is a need to advertise your sexuality to others. They have Gay pride marches through cities, Gay festivals. Why do this?, you dont see Straight pride marches do you?
If your gay, your gay and that's fine, but why go to all the trouble of marching down a street to publish it?, I'm not bothered what people are, its the character that defines a person not there sexuality.

Pride marches are just a way of people trying to show that being homosexual/bisexual is normal. Many people hate on people with such sexual preferences because they think it isn't 'Natural' and this is simply a way to convey a message like 'there is more then a handful of us'.
Da-knei-ule wrote: I'm not bothered what people are
Unfortunately there are people that are.

Exactly, good way of thinking that is. I respect you for it.

They have to do the parades mainly due to the amount of people still heavily against the culture, and the fact that it's still against the norm.

I'm bisexual by the way. There are things I love about men or women, and I see no reason why I should like one above the other. It's the real person that I would love, not their gender
on the outside.

What's your gender, if I may ask?

Well, I'm a girl, and I'm bisexual too. I don't look at the gender, I look at the person.

I am asexual, since I have witnessed first-hand what kind of pain love may bring, I decided that it be best that I wasn't a part of it and, through will and determination, psychologically removed myself from it. I was most convinced that I should do this when...I don't really want to talk about her anymore.

I'm not sure yet D:

Also, why is this topic named "Homosexuality" when it's about sexuality in general? Shouldn't it be "Sexual Orientation" instead or something [/offtopic]

I am a Heterosexual, but some of the most enjoyable company can be either a homosexual guy/girl. So its all cool in my eyes.
I dont really know what i can offer to this thread other then opinion, and well, i kinda fear i would unknowingly offend someone.
This is a mature forum and i wouldnt mind discussion, but, this is a touchy subject.

To true. I changed it to not be so specific.

It's a shame that it's a risky business to discuss matters such as this. I don't think it should be.

What will a parade do to change people minds on the subject? Nothing. if anything id say they do more harm than good. If somebody is Homophobic (even though homophobia doesn't really exist as a phobia is an irrational fear of something) then marching down a city center road all singing an dancing about being Gay will not help that persons point of view.

Gay people are wanting to be accepted, my opinion is try blending in with everyone else and maybe that acceptance will come sooner, rather that differentiating yourselves from general society.

eh, well said tom.

Honestly, i think its all good. No matter what you are or your preferences. You make the world turn just as the next person does. Ive been taught through my youth that homosexuality is a gene passed down through generation to generation. Its just a difference make up of a human. Its not much different from having a different skin color. Its just Hereditary. So theres nothing to be ashamed of.
I attend a media and entertainment university so the majority of students are homosexual to be honest. Or at least its very prevalent. And its probably been a good thing for me culturally. Ive never had a problem with it, but ive really become immune to it. I dont automatically distinguish one the other anymore. Half the time im shocked to find out a friend of mine is a homosexual when i would have never guessed.

Ignorance of people can be a cruel characteristic.
