In this mission a msg is supposed to pop up in the room in the cave where the trolls have taken the missing watchmen. In my game this will not happen. If I kill all the trolls in the cave a msg pops up to go look for eveidence of the watchmen, but when i get the room indicated nothing happens. There is a pile of bodies, but no msg. The same happens if i go straight to the room. Later, out of desperation I tried to use a complete mission console code, but it messed up all of my current missions. Can anyone help me?

I had that exact same problem 2-3 days ago. I assumed it was because I cleared the cave prior to getting the mission, but I may be wrong. I fixed it by changing the stage of the mission one step forward in the console.

"setstage FGC10Swamp 40" (or was it 45?, try in increments of 5 starting with your current stage until it works).

By doing this I was still able to do the rest of the quest and not just skip to the end of that mission, or mess with any other quests.

Well, it hasn't worked for me so far......I will keep trying........

sometimes for evidence like in the missing painting quest you actually have to press the use key while looking at the piece of evidence.. could be the case here, and not just looking at it, but i dunno

Not giving me anything to click on! And I had a really dumb thing happen on the Skingrad Home "treasure" quest. I had the sign to click on the the scoll with the riddle, I could even pick it up and move it around. But it wouldn't let me read it. I left and came back later, and the scroll was back up on the ledge where I had found it, not where I put it, which was on the book case on the opposite side of the room. I still couldn't read it. So......I ended up coming here and finding the read through and doing it that was......... I was looking forward to reading and figuring it out myself, Oh well.....

Now.....I just want to finish this Harluns Watch one so I can move on in the guild!!!! Anyone with any solid answers, will be a "Pal" if they can do it for me!!!

If what you're supposed to find is a body, and you waited more than three game days since you accepted the quest, it's possible that the body disappeared. This happened to me for the Cheydihnal Mages Guild Recommendation quest as well.
I could only solve it with the help of the console.

Just ran into the same problem... quest marker on a pile of skeletons and a couple of zombies, I tried clicking on everything but nothing happens.

It seems I'd been there before as it was all mapped out and the place was littered with troll corpses, so that may have messed it up.

Anyway, thanks for the console hint Doogie, that's got me back on track.

I've been experiencing the same problem with the Harlun's Watch quest. I tried to get the v1.1 patch, but that's only for the computer. And also, Doogie, where are you supposed to enter that setstage pass? I can't find it.

Only the PC version has access to the console, which is where those codes are entered.
