My head is right now swarming with ideas for a fanfic, but I feel that I won't have enough patience to write down the whole thing with detailed descriptions of landscapes, fights etc. So I want to try and make all my thoughts into a comic. The question is: what programme should I use? I'd rather it had a relatively easy interface - 'cause I'm a complete dunderhead when it comes to computer programmes with too many buttons - and a set of instruments for vector drawing, like in Word. The only programme I am using now is Corel Photopaint, and the only thing it seems to be suited for is adding fancy effects to existing images, not creating new ones. I used to have Adobe Photoshop, but it was a trial version which expired ages ago, and I have already forgotten how to work with it. Perhaps I should reinstall it? Also, I seem to be hearing a lot about Inkscape lately. Perhaps it will suit my needs? I will be thankful for any suggestions.

It is a brilliant vector-based program, and it should suit your needs if your style is simple. I, personally, love it a load. It's sort of like typing: takes a while to get up to speed and learn the keyboard layout but once you've done it enough you can get 65 words a minute.

Acshually I finished that it's just it turned into my GCSE IT project and I don't want to post it all online in case they accuse me of burglarising it.

Thank you for the link. I have downloaded the exe file, but as I click it a sort of error occurs - a small window pops up with a message about an incompetent publisher Would you perhaps happen to know what seems to be the problem?
Generalno1, thank you for taking interest As I am now having problems with the exe file, there is no comic to talk about yet All I can say is - it's gonna be about... yeah, about Oblivion. I know I am not creative. But it's just a sort of mood of mine

Actually, I have solved all the problems I had with Inkscape and it now works like a charm. Here is the first strip of the comic I intend to make. The main characters are three merry Mages Guild Apprentices: Gar gra-Bolg, who is an Orc and strives to prove that she can be a Mage, too; Hudrun, who is a Nord and posssesses the most kick-ass Mum in all Cyrodiil ; and Vivienne, who is half-Dunmer, half-Breton and has very tense relationships with her ancestors. In this strip, pretty much nothing happens, as it is a sort of introduction. I am going to develop the storyline at the next free weekend I have. I already have it planned to some extent: This is my first attempt to work with Inkscape, and I guess it is rather pathetic, but I think that I am gradually getting the hang of it.

I will be glad to hear your opnion. Yes, I AM asking for compliments!

Looks good. Probably better than I could do after just a couple weeks on Inkscape. So, how did you do the dialogue balloons?

Thanks A circle plus a curved line - I don't know how to call it exactly, 'cause I have my interface in Russian. I should have figured out that it is really simple ages ago

I wrote a comic, once.
It was about a wealthy Britishman that spent his time defecating in various pubs around Manchester.
Needless to say, it didn't go over well with the local newspaper.

Uhh, that's me again. I feel that I have completely lost interest. Did half the second strip, right up to the heroines woke up and found a bunch of Daedra demolishing the unfriendly Bosmer's house, and then I put it aside. Like, forver. Now I am nursing another idea for a fanfiction, but I know it won't last long. I will chuck it aside and switch to something else. What's up with my freakin' brain?! I have never been able to wtite or draw any story further than the second chapter. The only exception is a kids' fantasy novel which I got going pretty well, but then the PDA with the text was stolen. I know that because of my carelessness I will never make a decent writer, but the thing that sucks most is that I can't give up inventing plots. I guess this thread was pretty pointless and should be blocked or deleted or something.
