I can't change the difficulty on my game...

My X-box 360 has been having some problems lately but I didn't think that would effect any of the games. Here's my problem- every time I try to lower the difficulty even one notch it says it's saving when I exit the game-play menu but when I go to check it it's back at the middle. It's perplexing me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe it somehow resets your settings. I don't have a Xbox 360 so I can't tell why this is happening. Maybe you pressed the "Reset to defaults" button?

I had a similar problem when I had my 360 as I couldn't save any audio changes, they just kept resetting. I had to do a "hard delete" of my character, which means I went through the 360 main screen and manually deleted the data and recreated a character. Worked just fine after that. Not sure if it will work for you or if mine was just a random fluke.
