I'll probably have my dad get it as a birthday present for me, since my birthday is in February.

CANNOT FREAKIN WAIT. I'm playing ME1 again, trying to optimize a character to carry over. I used the default-appearance Shepard, so glad they let you change it in ME2. I hate the way custom Shepards look, at least mine. They always come out looking... odd. Hopefully the options are better next game. What I don't like, though, is that I never unlocked the AR achievement. My Adept Bastion is limited to pistols and shotguns (unlocked them first playthrough and immediately started new as an Adept.)

especially the way they said the other planets will now actually be worth exploring

Too bad I've never played Mass Effect 1.

On my first playthrough (I was a soldier), that was one of the first things I unlocked.

I played as a soldier when I was borrowing the game from a friend and only ever unlocked shotgun, which was useless as vanguards unlock them through the course of the game anyway. What I've recently done, though, was unlock assault rifles and started a new game as an infiltrator. I get the tech attacks I want (and haven't unlocked the corresponding achievements for,) get assault rifles and the ability to equip medium armor. "What about sniper rifles?" you ask. I don't use them, so I save ability points this way. I think this Shepard is gonna be my ME2 carry-over.

I'm probably going to stick with my soldier.

Who are your favorite party members?

Even though I'm an infiltrator, I plan to bring Garrus and Tali with me. Kaidan sucks all around, I'm not a fan of Wrex Ashley is all combat, which I find to be a waste, and Liara...well, I'm not sure why I don't use Liara. I suppose I'll use her in my next go-round, as I'm shooting for lvl 60.

Actually, thinking about it...Kaidan doesn't suck, just his story.

Stupid Mass Effect not being released for PS3. I hope the rumours of an ME2 PS3 release are true.

its not that hard really.

Nobody said it was hard. I just didn't know that they were achievements and that those achievements unlocked abilities for subsequent characters.

Anyone seen the cinematic preview where they're going towards the ship fighting those insectoid alien thingies that are the new bad guys? (Should be the first one you see, until they bring something new out)
Everytime I see it I think they look like people in a bad costume filmed in real life...

Favourite looking characters at the moment are Samara and Subject Zero, guess the Drell guy looks okay, always hated Tali.

Dunno what to think of the Missile Launcher, keeps reminding me of Ratchet & Clank, which could be very good or very bad..

I don't know if I'm allowed to mention the site that's selling the game, so if not can some mod replace the name with 'A certain website' or summat like that.

Play.com have an 'exclusive' code thingy you get with a pre-order that unlocks this sexy ensemble.
I'm just wondering will it make me completely OP'd for the whole game or whether I have to complete a run-through before I can use the code to unlock it..

I just went and preordered it today, paying in full.

Now I just gotta wait four weeks...

Yay, I finally saw Ashley in one of the trailers.

Ashley was in a few other trailers, too =d

I'm getting the collector's edition.
But the only armor I plan on wearing is the Blood Dragon armor.
Think that'll be customizable as well? That'd be really cool.

Blood Dragon armour will be cool if it is customizable, but don't want to be a walking advertisement for DA:O.
If you can take the logo off it'll be nice.

My Xbox was broke from Feb. to Dec. last year, only got it fixed for Christmas in anticipation of ME2.

Yeah there are very few other games im bothered about, there are bout 5 i would like to replay, none of the rest of the 360 games have really had any impact on me
