Vampires

ok vampires in TES interest me. I know that molag bal created them by raping a nede woman but the I realised somthing else, the clan of Cyrodil also honors Clavicus Vile! In the book Manifesto Cyrodiil Vampyrum that the bond with Clavicus Vile is what makes them different from other clans, so is it possible that all vampire clans in TES have 2 daedric princes that govern them and make them different from others? or even 3 since all vampires have nightmares and in Morrowind's Vampire cure quest Molag bal says something about talking to Vaermina right?

I don't think that the Morrowind or Daggerfall vampires have any of the Daedra to govern them...
Pff... Oblivion...

I read somewhere that either Malacath or Mephala, can't remember which one, may have been responsible for creating the first ever vampires. It was definitely on UESP so since I've got nothing to do tomorrow I'll try and find it.

no it was definitly molag bal who created the first vampire. in the vile lair plug in one of the books it states molag bal turned a nedic woman into a vampire to spite arkay.

Books in the games say lots of things. They're actually written with the fact that people get things wrong, as in the real world. So just because an in-game book says it, doesn't make it true.

Take Boethia being referred to as "She" for example maybe?

Daedric princes can be either male or female. take Mephala for example.

The Daedric Princes can vary which sex they appear as, though some feel more comfortable as one or the other. Boethia is one of those who doesn't.
Now. Vampires.

Question:
If vampirism is truly the result of sutch an act by a Daedric Prince, why is it that a simple potion can reverse the process, especially given that the same result required intervention from another Prince in Morrowind?

Because Oblivion doesn't seem to care about corresponding with the lore set out by any of the other ES games...

...true.
Alright, rephrase. If the good folks at Bethesda were forced to cover their butts regarding this, how do believe they would go about doing so?

The only explanation I can think of is that the vampirism cure contains bloodgrass, which is Daedric in origin.

I would agree with you there, there's really no other explanation other than the Cyrodiilic vampires' vampire-ness(?) can fluctuate between being noticeable and unnoticeable because of Clavicus Vile, so maybe that makes it easier to cure.
I'd like to pose two other questions: Since Vicente Valtieri says that he was "stricken with vampirism 300 years ago in the Ashlands of Vvardenfell" why does he exhibit the same characteristics as a Cyrodiilic vampire? Also, why does he have a "Weakness to Garlic"?

I can't vouch for his mention of Vvardenfell. In fact, after I played Morrowind, then went back to Oblivion and noticed that, it's been bugging me since. However I do have a bit to say about the garlic.
If you'll read the note found in his desk, you'll notice he says he's the only vampire that he knows of with that. I think it's two things:
- IRL explanation: a nod/homage towards legendary vampires from movies and such who are kept at bay via garlic
- In-game explanation: just a personal allergy, as in he was probably allergic before he was turned, and the effect simply lingered and/or was exaggerated by his vampirism

Because at the point that you drink a potion, you only have the disease, you aren't an actual vampire yet. After you become a vampire, the potion doesn't work.

Well, didn't Molag Bal said that he will cure you with a potion from Vaermina?
It doesn't say anything on wiki but that's how I remeber it...
