Trying not to troll but; I don't see what people really liked, he was okay but he was hardly outstanding.

You're not trying very hard not to troll. The first post in a thread about remembering one of our most esteemed and widely-respected members and you post that?

And what did people really like about him? How about how helpful he is in the Oblivion forums? Or how good he's been as a mod? Or the fact that he's basically just a nice guy, and also very funny, and therefore everyone likes him? Or the fact that he's actually quite grown-up, unlike quite a lot of posters on this forum.

As for why he left, I know he's going through a hard time at the moment, and that coupled with the blizzard of immaturity and post-flooding over this last week probably pushed him over the edge.

Gamer005 this thread is dedicated to good memories of Cactus and general discussion. Let's not discuss your post here or why you think Cactus isn't an outstanding member, even though you've been here for barely two months and thus know nothing about him.

We're all upset that Cactus has left and your first post in this topic, and the very first reply, questions whether he was good or not. That is:
#1 not the purpose of this topic, read the first post!
#2 not a very smart move

I'm afraid I've got to lock this thread if this discussion will go on any longer and we all don't want that.

He struck me as amazing, and out of everyone here
he seemed to be the most... I don't know, he was just great.
I haven't been here long enough to give anecdotes, (about 5 days)
but I'm really going to miss him.

Good luck Cactus, maybe you'll be back when TES V comes out.

(also my RP is going to miss you too...)

I remember when I first found uesp 2 years ago (I never actually made an account until the beginning of last summer). This was before most of the current mods weren't mods, but still cactus's comments helped and entertained me whenever i read them in the forum. I never knew him well ( I don't know most the uesp) , but I still will remember him forever in my elder scrolls memories. I don't want to disrespect him, and am respecting his personal choice, so I will not ask why he left so abruptly. Long live thy Cacti!
