Is there any way to get rid of gold because I glitched for mine and Oblivion isn't as fun anymore.

Gold isn't an item (anymore) so you can't just drop it, but maybe if you want to go on a killing spree and only kill guards to avoid broken quests, then before it becomes too much just pay the fine to the guard (not a doyen)
Then if you have the Kotn go do the pilgrimage as your infamy would be pretty high

Dragour has a good idea, but you could also buy a lot of stuff. That seems easier without having to kill people.

No. Just buy stuff from expert/master merchants without bothering to haggle, then sell it back, and repeat, until you have a normal amount of gold.

Gold is an item. It just doesn't show up in your inventory.
Explain: player.additem F
F is the TES universal equivalent (from Morrowind +, including Fallout 3) for money. And additem, adds an item. Not a special object, not altering a statistic, but an item. It is an item.
After that it out of the way, go somewhere, drop all of your items into a container, get yourself arrested, run away to a doyen (After getting about 200 gold to be safe) and pay off your bounty. I think that should work, if you lose all your gold if you get arrested.

38 million?? why would you spawn that much?

i only spawn about 50,000 at a time and thats usually to get a house and all the furniture. too impatient to save money for bloody furniture

Or, if you're on PC use the console command
# = being the amount of gold you want to remove.

If you're a Journeyman of Mercantile, go to some tavern publican or innkeeper and sell something insanely valuable, like an Amulet of Axes or whatnot. Buy it back for a high amount of gold, then sell it back to him for another 50 gold.
And if that doesn't seem very fast, the dupe a bunch of said item, sell them all off at 50 gold each, then buy them all back at an ungodly price.

You could walk around towns and just bribe the Hell outta people.
Everybody will love you, then. And you'll loose the gold.

Yeah, Im actually sitting here and tallying up the houses and all upgrades and all the best weapons and armor in the game. Spells too. And the total is nowhere near 38 million.
Actually, if you think about it, gold is really overrated in the game, anyway.
1. The weapons and armor that are the best can actually be found in dungeons.
2. You could be using it for spell making or enchanting, but no every character does that.
3. The houses and upgrades are about the only thing you'll ever need it for.
4. I always find enough healing and magic potions in dungeons.
5. You might have to buy repair hammers or have your armor repaired, but let's face it, either way that's dirt cheap.

I like gold because it gives me a sense of satisfaction whenever I look at it.
Plus one of my favorite things in oblivion is doing all sorts of things like make potions to make some gold. When I glitch for gold, it makes me fell guilty.

I wouldn't necessarily feel guilty. I just think that gold is really not all that necessary.
Put it this way, if you really wanted to, you could easily have a character that never used gold.

I don't think I'm gonna glitch for my gold anymore since I have 950,000 gold just from selling some stuff in my Skingrad house and closing a few oblivion gates.
