not me - i stopped using 3.1 15 years ago. i think the thing i'd miss the most going back is being able to copy and paste files.
the oldest OS i ever used was on an Amstrad CPC 64 about 23 years ago. although the Amstrad was a bare bones system (i.e. no OS, just BASIC) you could get an OS as extra software and run it. it had a graphical display, drop down menus, mouse pointer, file icons etc but was seriously slow (even the mouse pointer lagged).
so, can anyone remember what BASIC stands for without looking it up on wiki? - get away from that wiki searchbox i can see you!

Its just a hobby lol. My main computer is Win xp, I just use my old computer with MS-DOS/Windows 3.1 just as a hobby computer basicly.
And I use it to play DOS games on as I dont like DOSBox all that good. I like having the real thing to play em on lol. The strange thing is I cant play Arena on it but it'll let me play Daggerfall lol. But yea..Its just a hobby as I like messin with old computers and old software.

Do you mean a screen shot of MS-DOS/Windows 3.1 or the computer itself?
From what I read about the old AST computers there aint many around that still work. But I could be wrong.
EDIT: Windows 3.1 has recording software that'll let you record the screen, the mouse movements and all.

I just meant the old trick of pressing "prtscn" then go to paint and press paste from there. By pressing the prtscn button it should take a screen shot of whatever is on the moniter and you can paste the image in mspaint.
Not really a big deal, i just havent seen that old set up in a long time. Last time i was probably playing the original civilization game or x-com.

1. Daggerfall and Arena on the natural PC. A DOS emulator just speeds things up and throws things out of whack.
2. All the other DOS apps and games that aren't compatible with DosBox.
3. All the frustrating times you can have with your pc typing in "somefile.exe" and it giving you an error "file not found" or whatever and then you type in "[&@%!] you stupid pc" and it coming up with another error and then you bang your head on the desk and the keyboard.

Yea, I actually bought a '94 computer last year with dos and win 3.1! Good to se someone else whos insane!
It was supposed to be a 'hobby thing' like for you, but I have'nt really used it alot. I have'nt got internet on it, otherwise I'd download arena and try it out (if the requirements are'nt to high for the machine!

)
