I want to know if there is any way, in the US, to get a new 360 for a low price. Would it make any difference if I traded my old one in? Or is the system already too old to be worth much at stores that do trades? The reason why I want a new one is because my current one has issues with DLC. I have done a lot of experimentation and I have found that it is the 360 not the harddrive.

Buy a used one, or buy one off E-bay, or Amazon.com.

I guess a new one of the lowest standard is $200 (Arcade version). Now, I guess if you want to try, you could buy a used one from a place like gamestop, if you want to risk it though.

And I believe that you can turn it in as long as it's of an equal value to the one you want to get, and it's the place you bought it. Be sure to have a receipt, they will certainly want to see it.

My receipt got washed. I could bring them a crumpled illegible piece of paper and call it my receipt, definitely would look the same. Thanks anyways though. I might try turning it in anyway, see what I get for it.

If it's from Wal-Mart, then don't worry, I believe they allow 1 to 3 trade ins without the receipt. Unless they changed this.

I got it from the Game stop right next to walmart. I don't know how lenient Game stop is, but I may be able to persuade them to give me a "just this once".

Hopefully, I've heard of some employees being very understanding and lenient. Hopefully it works.

thats weird in england you dont need receipts, my mate traded in a gamecube once wit the wires in a shoe box. obs they check it and make sure its working. one of my mates traded in their xbox and got bout £120 off a ps3. do xbox cost more in the US? luckily we have plenty of game shops in my town maybe try amazon cause they do good deals as thts where i got mine

i watched a youtube video that said the xbox 360 in america is $399.99 and the ps3 is $599.99 (basically 400 and 600 dollars) so i would say yeah its probably more expensive compared to england.yes my mate who absaloutly loved his xbox 360 finally sold it, he was £30 off a ps3 so i lent him the money, niow hes happier than ever with his gaming

i got my xbox for £180 which i think is around $300 and my ps3 for (including two games and a blue ray movie) for £280 which i think is $500ish. i bought my consoles with my student loans lol since i wasnt spending it on anything else thts pretty nice of you to help ur friend. i bought my sister a DS for a college trip and had to wait 6 months to get the money back!

Ah! But i didnt mention how long it took him to get the money back, it took him around 4 months to get some money for his birthday which he gave to me. so i just got his birthday present lol

When the PS3 was first released, I think it was like $600-$650.

Some of them are huge. They vary in size. Also they cant, and wont be stopped. Just dont stand in their way, walmart WILL sell you an item at a great price.
