UESP Forums

Inspired by the "How old are you" topic in the General Banter forum . But this belongs here.

What Oblivion skills do you use in real-life?

For me it's:

Acrobatics (a lot)
Athletics (a lot)
Marksman (every week)
Sneak (at school, regularly )
Security (see ^)
Alchemy (chemistry, usually Restore Health potions )
Speechcraft (needs no explanation)
Mercantile (..)
Light Armor (it's summer after all)

Please try to keep this on-topic. If you've got something to say that's off-topic, please use the off-topic BBcode. Do not post replies that only contain off-topic content.

So:

[offtopic]Off-topic text goes here[/offtopic]

EDIT: If any of the other mods think this is a spam flooding topic, which I think it isn't since we also have the Oblivion Trivia topic etc, feel free to move it to the General forum so it won't give us a higher forum count. But I think it belongs here since it's about Oblivion.

Uh...

Hm...

Er...

Is there a skill that would cover Coding/Developing/Scripting? >.>
Light Armor.
Mercantile. (Every now and then, I devise plans to sell this game for that. If that counts.)
Speechcraft.

Er... That's it. :p

Mysticism perhaps

Alteration/Mysticism, maybe...

For me it would be Mercantile, Acrobatics, Athletics, Light Armour, and Speechcraft.

Haha awesome idea for a thread.

Hand to hand - mon through thurs is mma training

Athletics - I run at least 3 times a week, trying to make that everyday but i hate it

Mercantile - Who dosnt use this?

Speechcraft - Again, who dosnt use this?

Alchemy - Cooking counts right? If im sunburnt i use alowe from my backyard that has to count

Speechcraft - but I'm no good at that
Mercantile - somebody has to buy the cat food...
Alchemy - I like baking and cooking

Well......I guess I use, acrobatics, athletics, sneak, and hand to hand.

For me I think...

Agility/Athletics
Speechcraft and Illusion (for charming people )
Mercantile maybe?
Alchemy, gotta feed meself!
Maybe the occasional sneak too...

And some might say destruction

Skills I use? ... um

Blade - cutting meat for cat/dog
Hand to Hand - alot of pysical work, lifting tux bags and playing with dogs ^^
Athletics - running after dogs and Angel when she refuses to have a bath
Mercantile - buying things count! Such as lift+
Speechcraft - might be poor in the skill but it's still used
Conjuration - I have learnt the spells "Summon Angel (my puppy)" and "Summon Dog" (any dog from the kennel, they all love and obey me)

i use the master blade skill. ya know, the lunge

I use sneak a lot. Blade AmtGard. But that's about it.

Oh really?
That does explain a lot...

Athletics
It's a pretty low skill at the moment, but I'm working on it with running a few times a week.
Long Blade (yes.. morrowind skills)
I've been training myself in er.. "sword fighting" since I was small. Assuming you've no idea what you're doing, I'm pretty good at it.
Security
My dad used to be hours late when I came home from school, so I had to learn to break in..
Sneak
This skill is maxed out. Trust me.. if I don't want you to know where I'm at.. you won't
Illusion
Just to help the above skill a bit in more.. critical situations.

Alchemy
Mercantile
Heavy Armor Okay, the spikes on mine are much shorter, but you get the point.
Athletics
Destruction (In conjunction with alchemy, plastic kitchen gadgets cannot withstand me!)
Mercantile
Speechcraft

Marksman when I play Halo 3. When I play Soulcalibur, blade, athletics, agility, acrobatics. Mitsurugi FTW!!!!!!

Cactus wrote:Long Blade (yes.. morrowind skills)

The thread is called "What Oblivion skills do you use in real-life?", not what ES skills!

Destruction and illusion...nothing else

Conjuration and Mysticism

Telekinesis?

blade, hand to hand, mysticism, acrobatics, athletics

Lawl this is tempting..

Hand to Hand (I have three dogs which I play with a lot), Alchemy (I'm not very good at it, but I'm working on it), Sneak (I have a tendency to randomly disappear on people), and Mercantile.
