Unbalanced Armor stats = annoying

I was initially told that in the GOTY edition, for the armor types, the best are:

Light = Glass
Medium = Adamantium
Heavy = Daedric

Now, for medium armor, both Her Hand's armor (from the high ordinators) and the Royal Guard armor is considerably better than adamantium. Not to mention that even the glass armor is better than the adamantium (and weighs less...). So really, I have no question here...just a random complaint. It doesnt make sense to me.

Actually, I DO have a question: as far as you know, in unmodded versions, what is the best armor in each category? What is the best armor in the game (so far the Lord's Mail at 333 is winning as far as I've seen)?

um, didn't you answer your question in your post? or do you mean which individual pieces are best? you can check out the artifacts pages in morrowind and scroll through the armor to see. the best armor is going to partially be determined by personal preferance because of the enchantments that are on the artifacts.

the best armour is made up of a mixture of artifacts rather then an actual set 8)

Hmm...yeah. Oh well. I got a full daedric set, but its too heavy so I dont really want to use it. I also a Dragonbone Curiass, armor 333 with 60% magika resistance as a constant effect.

I think I'll just go with light, since I dont want 80% of my encumberance taken up by what I'm wearing :P

Due to the awful weight of the Daedric, I've currently got:

- Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw
- Cuirass of the Savior's Hide
- Boots of the Apostle
- Glass everything else...

+ wearing a number of other items of clothing (belt, amulet, rings, cloak, pants, skirt, shirt) that are all constant effect fortify something or other.
