The 'What happened to you today' thread

This is a thread where you can post anything, whether it be funny, sad or just generally interesting, that happened to you over the course of the day that you just want to get off your chest.
I'll get the ball rolling by setting the scene. It was a rotten day in Birmingham. As I left the house, gale-force winds lashed the rain into my face. Wrapping my navy-blue cagoule that makes me look like a fisherman closer around me and turning After The Goldrush on my iPod up a bit, I continued onwards...
[some time later]
I was walking down James Watt Queensway, the artery that connects Birmingham city centre to the main road that serves the north-western quarter of the city. It stopped raining, and a girl who was about to walk past me went to take her umbrella down but the still-strong wind relieved her of it. The umbrella blew across to the central reservation of the 6-lane road, and I briefly considered being chivalrous and going after it for her, but then it blew over the central reservation, crossed the other side of the road then blew over a wall into the holding area of the city law courts. I should add she was very attractive, but not enough so for me to take my life in my hands by running across a busy 6-lane road with a 50mph speed limit then break into the law courts to win her fair heart.
If I had my mandolin with me I would now be putting on a tricorn hat and writing a Medieval bard-style song about this.

Today was my last day of school before I go on study-leave. As usual, everyone was allowed to write on each others' shirts and such, however, everyone ended up using scissors and staples to customize their clothes as well. Anyway, I ended up with no trouser pockets and one trouser leg considerably shorter than the other. One pupil tried to cut eye-holes in a jumper sleeve he was wearing... on his face. Seriously, he was trying to cut the holes while he was wearing the sleeve on his face.
*Facepalm*

I remember that day at my school, me and my mates came up with the devious plan of drawing the comedy penis at every opportunity. The trick is speed rather than precision, you need to get something phallus-shaped drawn on someone's shirt before they are able to object.

It was a Blustery wet day in Norht East England. But non the less teh injury i had accquired whilst play Softball was not accountable because of the weather. My glove was to small so i was trying to steal my friend's glove... straight off his hand.
However at that moment i turned around and the fist-sized ball was pummelling towards my... well lets just say i wasn't walking straight for awhile.
And then i talked to a girl.

I had a fairly uneventful day...
A national English comprehension test in the morning, I was the first to turn in the paper.
Then a dentist appointment, my teeth are aching a bit now.
And then...I was supposed to go to a cafe with my friends but got stuck playing Race For The Galaxy instead, never underestimate the awesomeness of board games.
Yeah, not a very interesting day but tomorrow I'm going to a party so we'll see what fun I'll have to report from that.

I went to school.
What in happened in school, Periods:
1 1/2- Since my school is Catholic we prayed a Rosary for no apparent reason in the auditorium. And I had to lead for a decade. So, just to be an ass, I sang a Landser song to myself while I wasn't leading.
1 2/2- Nothing much. Talking to the people around me.
2- Same as above, but instead, I wrote a sentence in my notebook.
3- English. I was talking to my friend and scolding him for Eclipse.
Break- Nothing special.
4- Algebra Honors. Write on a small note card. Argue with the people behind about Atheism.
5- Science. Boring science movies. My teacher doesn't really teach it.

Just out of curiosity what side of the debate were you on?

I was playing a game with my friend, and I wasn't doing too well, but I was still playing it. I was constantly trash-talking (as I am wont to do), and I was getting
slightly annoyed with a particular unit that he seemed to love. Then he accused me of getting worked up (this is in the middle of a particularly successful attack of his). I realised that I was getting a bit worked up, I didn't want to play much more, and I knew that this probably wouldn't end well. I made a lame excuse (I said "well, you obviously don't want to play with me anymore"... it was the heat of the moment, and I wanted to just stop), and quit. I was then accused of quitting because I was losing. He proceeded to tell me that I
had quit because I was losing, and that I was definitely wrong for thinking otherwise (after all, I don't know my motivations...

) . Then he told me that he was going because he "hates talking to me like this". I think he went before I could say "What? When I'm right?" but that's possibly for the best.
Goshdarn it, it seems so petty now... On his part, obviously

I got bored out of my mind today in PSHEE & Citizenship. Although we have to write a review of a movie in english, and instead of doing it on shakespeare or something like that we are studying horror movies; which makes up for the loss of time in PSHEE & Citizenship. And I have no idea why they added an extra E, they just did...

Yes, what exactly does it stand for now? Personal, Health And Social Education Education? AKA the lesson they never actually teach you anything useful in? The 'social education' part is always very misleading, it's all very well drilling an encyclopedic amount of information about contraception into kids' heads but unless they know how to chat up girls they'll never get to put it into practice. It's something that needs to be on the curriculum.

Well, today... I felt like uploading an avatar, but I can't for some reason, so I decided to walk a mile to my local library and try it on one of their computers. So I wait 20 minutes for a computer to be available, and, finally, a guy that almost looks just like Samuel L. Jackson, gets off of his computer. To which I say, rather loudly, "It's about time!" to which a random librarian replies, "SHHHH!!". So I login to the uesp forums a try to upload and avatar. I was somewhat suprised to see that it still did not work. To which I replied, rather quitely, "What the f---...? So I walked a mile back to my house, on the way, I noticed that a lot of people stare at me...I'm starting to think it's the fact that I wear all white and have long brown hair and a full beard. SO I get back to my house and am now typing these words...and I predict that I will soon begin to play GTA IV.

I presented a project for Earth Day. A bit late, (Earth day is around the 22 of April) but it was still fun. We had a whole fair, and made a petition to the city.

This isn't today, but yesterday I fired a PPSh-41 (drum mag), one of the greatest stamped SMG's from the Pre-Vietnam Era.

I perfected my technique of the

It is a LOT harder than it seems... BUT I DID IT!

ZOMG!!! It's Jeebus the Zombie!
EDIT: I forgot to add anything about my day.
I'm in bed with my laptop because I fell like utter crap. I'm a Battlefield Heroes beta tester but I can't even get the game to launch.

My day so far - well I only woke up an hour and a half ago. All I've done so far is watch Jenson Button get pole position for the Grand Prix ^_________^

lol, I remember that day, too. The boys were going round pretending to write lovely "Good luck" messages on their mate's backs, but actually writing other rather... questionable things.
I remember the boy who used to sit in front of me had things like "Enter" written on his back and then an arrow pointing down to his bum, and "Mrs Worthington makes me hot". Mrs Worthington was a shrivled old woman. Me and my friends were giggling at the stuff written on his back, he turned round and asked us what we were laughing at, he turned his shirt around, looked at it a moment, then sped off yelling "HADLEY! I'll kill you!"
He obviously knew his friends well, because was right about who had written it. xD

I am feeling depressed. Why, you may ask? Well, you see, I went to Walt Disney World with my younger siblings for a week. It was a pretty awesome week. The reason I am depressed however, is, well, I completely fell for a girl while there. She stayed at the same resort I did, and she was amazing. I learned later that she lived somewhere in the UK, probably England, after listening to her accent. To make matters worse, I live in Indianapolis. Ouch. You can see how that would work out. I actually never even got a chance to talk to her. I am now really ticked at myself.

Sorry, but that makes the whole thing a bit stalker-ish...
