I've ordered and downloaded the mod installer but it locks up whenever I run it and can't continue. I use 64-bit CPU, but still 32-bit Windows if that helps.

Which mod installer is this? You're best bet would be to e-mail the creator of the mod installer directly (or visit their web site). They'll either know about the crashes and how to fix it, or likely be able to help you troubleshoot.

I think it's the "Official" plugin including horse armour..

I'm fairly certain that those mods do not work with 64-Bit versions of windows, however it should work with a 64-Bit CPU. Hopefully it will be addressed in the upcoming patch.
