This game is coming out soon and I was wondering if anyone has ever played the first game in the series and can tell me if it was good. The second game is an MMO and/or single player (PC & console) RPG which sounds very much like TES Oblivion. It boasts in-depth character creation, freedom to roam the surounding, many many side quests, etc. Does ayone have any knowledge of the series?

I remember the first one being very similar to Diablo 2. I didnt play Sacred 1 but a friend of mine had it, and we both played Diablo 2 and the game style seems very similar, that of choosing a character and killing hordes and hordes of monsters, it may end up becoming very repetitive pretty soon, but it all depends on taste.

Sacred 2 seems to have some improvements and new characters, and here in Europe the game is distributed by FX, a company that never sells games for more than 15 euro, a very good price.

I rented Sacred 2 not too long ago, and in my honest opinion, it was horrible.
There is very little in terms of character creation, sticky controls, bad camera angles, and a terrible combat system. Unless you are a VERY big fan of the first one, stay as far away as humanly possible.

I personally loved the first one,but for some reason my computer would crash after exiting it.
