It depends which system you use. Some use dice, some use Rock-Paper-Scissors, some you compare stats, some use GM's decision and some use foam weapons.

Wow, thats a lot of vir.. I think your wit would be more powerful than any foam sword. "Ill go talk to her for you if you "take care" of a few people for me." I imagine your personality is high compared to some of those people.r wrote:3000 guys fighting another 3000 guys all dressed as wraiths and zombies.

You're right, maybe I should be a bard instead. Better start brushing up on the old lute skills... I can see my rather attractive housemate, who also wants to come, being on the receiving end of quite a few dodgy Medieval chat-up lines. "Ah, fair maiden, might you permit me to procure you a flagon of mead so that we might talk further through this enchanting eve?"leroybrown wrote:Wow, thats a lot of vir.. I've always wanted to learn an instrument and then play a Bard in a game of D&D. I'd actually sing and play.
I'd actually need a group to play with though.

A band of wandering minstrels - that would be amazing.

Sanguine plays too, but he prefers 3.5 edition!
By which I mean... I like 4e! So we must be some kind of enemy or something.

Orc > Dragonborn
i guess it "isnt honorable" to knock an enemy down and throw them off the roof, or in front of a rolling boulder trap.
i cant play a warrior and make it "honorable."
i did get bonus points for my creativity of taking a (still moving/attacking)zombie hand ant tying it to a rope and using it as a weapon

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Oh, obviously, I'd much rather have Half-Orcs in the PHB1 (they're in PHB2, though, I think) than Dragonborn, but at least Half-Elves aren't crap in 4e. In fact, at least half the entire game isn't crap in 4e. Don't get me wrong, I like 3.5, but I just think 4e streamlined a lot of stuff and at least shows some semblance of balance.m@nyt1mes wrote:Orc > Dragonborn

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Just got back from watching my new bandmate doing a solo acoustic set - she was really good, but the highlight of the evening for me came during the next woman's set, when a man of A Certain Age with a side parting who we presumed to be her dad kept looking around quite angrily when people were talking during her set (I don't blame them, she wasn't very good), particularly at my bandmate's boyfriend, who is young and Australian and therefore quite loud.

Goshdarn it, Mrs. T! You're letting the side down here! You're not supposed to have any groups!

Last Monday was my most recent session with the most active group. We play Alpha Omega which is, by my reckoning,, one of the best RPs ever.Dogmantra wrote:Goshdarn it, Mrs. T! You're letting the side down here! You're not supposed to have any groups!
I'm a bit worried about my character though as she was rendered unconscious when separated from the rest of the group and we had to end the session before she woke up so I have no idea what's happened to her
Aaanyway, nice weather, innit?

I realised today that I haven't played bass in a couple of months (I've somehow neglected all instruments except the piano during the summer), so my fingers were pretty sore after 2,5 hours playing.
And I've recieved the comment that I was born with an anti-shopping trait. I can't deny that there some truth in that.

I did laundry. I hate doing laundry
It takes away half my day. Also, I'm reading Jane Austen's Emma, since I've not touched most of my prescribed books for my end of the year exams, and have a sneaking suspicion that merely scanning the Sparknotes will be extremely foolish.

Goddamn... they are all conspiring against me!
Today I was beginning all the chores. The animals all decided it was 'Let's-Give-Equin-[&@%!] Day'. I love every one of them, just like family, but one way or another they will get under your skin. First, I let the dogs out, they have run of the farm so the only I can get them back is teaching them to come back when I call. One of them didn't come, so I went to look for her. She was in the back eating [&@%!], which is a big no-no as well. She looked up; I said 'come' in the nicest voice ever. It was as if she gave me the finger and proceeded eat. I marched towards her, this time she put her tail between legs, ran full speed in the opposite direction. This [&@%!] me off even more because I had clearly trained her to come. I said, "[&@%!] it", I ignored her, did the rest of my chores. The horses thankfully were kind enough to behave.
Then it was the rabbits' turn to screw me over. I had to remove an oversized nestbox from one the cages. It needed come out quickly, it was the only thing separating two unfriendly females, and because I needed, it put a smaller, more reasonable box to replace it. Well they eventually found each other start biting. That led to me having to switch seven different rabbits to get a good peaceful agreement, while I hacked at the box with a hammer. I guess the puzzle pieces weren't fitting; I had put two brothers together. They began fighting, biting with deadly force, rolling around a bunch of kids in a schoolyard. One jumped so high its back hit the top of the cage. Finally, I separated them. One was left with a toe missing the nail and it bled profusely. I applied pressure with my finger. Once everything was done I was left sweaty and my hands covered with blood.
Phew! I needed that off my back!

Anyway, on topic: I've finally found a use for my absolute and complete lack of any social skills. They're great for using to write a self-portrait for my A Not Insignificant Amount Of Aggravation-Causing (borrowed that one, r, to save you needing to de-censor it later) creative writing assignment. Don't get me wrong. I love writing. But this assignment is getting me down.
