Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
What you shouldn't forget is that if the Nerevarine isn't dead (yeah he is maybe dead but who knows?), than his power now could be godlike. More than 200 years for Training and Studying, if he is alive he should have achieved CHIM by now

I dont believe in this CHIM thing cause i have never heard about it in game , so i just assume its something thats written on one of those Lore websites or something

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
It's definitely in the in-game lore. Vivec has CHIM.
Also how about Dohvahkiin and Nerevarine are both awesome and could be an unstoppable crime fighting duo!

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
So Talos has CHIM? I thought so, but it's weird that he became a divine. I guess he just wanted to be a Divine? He has greater plans (being Lorkhan and all)? What does it MEAN!?

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
Talos is a divine, and has CHIM.
Talos is a divine because Tiber Septim, Ysmir Wulfharth, and Zurin Acrtus, each avatars of Lorkhan, reenacted the events that caused Mundus to be created, in the creation of the third empire, which caused the three to merge into Talos who is Lorkhan reborn. Talos is divine because he is taking the spot of the missing 9th god, Lorkhan, because he is the missing 9th god reborn.
He is filling the hole in the pantheon that needed to be filled
Which is why The Thalmor hate him, because of his Lorkhanness.
Talos is technically countless times more powerful then the other Aedra though, because of his CHIMness.

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
Anyway back to Hearthfire, i find it very unlikely that Beth will do anything vampire, werewolf, necromancer or similar night creature related DLC. I also think that if they do a Thalmor DLC it will be the third one. I personally think this DLC will be nature related, maybe a sect of druids forms to protect Skyrim's environment from the civil war and the dragons. Spells like entangle, hibernate beast, shapeshifting and maybe even a new nature "element" of destruction magic. Actually I would just really like this, probably wont happen.

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
As far as I can remember, Camoran only wore the amulet in Paradise, which was basically a chunk of Dagon's realm he claimed for himself. Wouldn't surprise me if he could do anything he wanted in his own dimension. Besides you still have to learn to shout, even with dragon blood.Redguard_Master wrote:The strictness of it only being dragonborn is a bit up for variables, Mankar wore it and he never fus ro dah'ed me.
I did a 20-minute search on the lore of the month Hearthfire (or Heart Fire, or whatever it's actually called) and I found nothing. No Skyrim-related holidays, no major rituals, nothing that even indicates the next DLC will even be set in Skyrim. There are quite a lot of references to Hammerfell and High Rock in the lore entry, but they aren't going to set it in another province, of that much I'm sure.
Maybe it'll be released in September? That's supposed to be the equivalent of Hearthfire in our calendar, right?

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
I read earlier in comments that the month of Heart fire somehow relates to Psijics , if thats true , i would like it to somehow be about Artaeum , appearing in the sea of ghosts

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
Oh. Yes, that's a good point. And given that Dawnguard was focused on a faction, the vampires, it might not be too much of a stretch to imagine that this one would focus on the Order.
Saying that, it might be a little elitist to have an entire DLC about mages. I mean, they did that in Oblivion with the player home plugins, but at least they had four different plugins to choose from.

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
Still, ignoring the Nerevarine thing, I still think the Dragonborn has a much larger and more cosmic fate coming his way, all I'll say more to it.
As to the actual content with in the DLC, I'm willing to bet spears, season change and build-a-Home (maybe even the wackier stuff like Goblins, Fat giants, and Giant Mudcrabs) for sure will be added, simply because it seems at this point they're just adding everything they can into the Gamejam, and those seem the easiest, excluding of course those in parenthesis.
If I had to demand one thing from this though, it'd be to make more quests, not just for the actual DLC but just more things to do in the cities, just add more quests for the hell of it, because frankly skyrim has so many stories that simply aren't expanded upon.

Re: Hearth Fire DLC?
So, my apologies if someone's already said this, but for some reason my first thought after hearing "hearthfire" was Thalmor related.
More specifically, it sounded reminiscent of the 30th of Frostfall, relating to the Great War (Thalmor), relatively the beginning of the Great War.
So my instinct tells me, pure speculation of course, Hearthfire will be the "end" of the Great War.

Last I heard, there weren't to be any Xbox-exclusive DLC. That is, we'll all get it eventually.

Yeah, Microsoft and Bethesda signed a agreement where Xbox get a month at least before other releases.

But Thalmor are magic and politics combined. The best of both worlds, you might say.

Yeah but hitting with them with dragonbone weapons fixes both of those problems.
