Re: Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
The first mash up pack is being released in a few days. It is Mass Effect themed. It looks pretty awesome.
Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Re: Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
Meh, the mash up pack isn't all that great<_< it's way too heavy of a texture change, I can't even tell if I'm looking at a cake. It does suck none of the mobs got skinned up.. though I do recommend just getting the trail unless you wish to save in such a state.
I will say this<_< why is it named after Mass Effect, wouldn't it be much simpler to dub it Scifi? If it really was aiming for that series>_> it should went to the next step like what inspired it.. In other news, I finally completed a circuit that runs underneath one of my ruins. It basically makes the perfect lava floor.. and with a flip of 2 switches it's back to normal. It uses alot of pistons.. and is double ringed>_> inner and outer as to complement the above floor. As it is, it's hard to break via a bug, but even then it can fix itself pretty quick. Simple redstone really especially with redstone torches, just I had to cram it in for as little space as possible.
Next up I'm going to try to experiment with minecarts>_> car chases anybody? How about adding a creeper to the mix? Yep.. going to place two consecutive rails through a tunnel. Once your in and off, a creeper will follow after you on the opposing track. Problem? Every now and then you'll have to hit buttons if you want to keep moving and not blow up
if you fail.. you'll come to a slow stop and the creeper will come to a dead stop to your side>_> Only way to win is to make it to the end.
Edit: Update was just released, a bug fix really. Also a new texture pack, named Plastic. About to check it out myself but I hear it's good

I myself cannot wait either ^_^ Medieval Builds + Skyrim texture =
Anyways me and my friend have just about maxed out the most of our little city. With detailing, interior, scenery, and landscape/roads.. we are far from complete

Holy crap... I have no idea how people can have the patience to build entire Minecraft cities. And this is coming from someone who will often spend months at a time of doing nothing but pressing the same 4 buttons on my DS to reset for a shiny Pokemon.

Granted theirs two of us, but we both have separate skills... just my tasks take longer and thus pile upFrost Mage wrote:Holy crap... Later tonight I can grab a few more pics, even a few of inside the city as you saw from where we've completed. Still the city itself still needs some more additions while I touch up. The town square needs a gallows, the stable needs redesigned, the harbor needs to expand into it's own district, and the sewers beneath need the first level completed before we start up on the lower levels. We've been working for over a year on this world, every detail helps
Once I can afford and replace my laptop, me and him are thinking of joining the pc server here on the forums ^_^ though it'll certainly be more aimed for the community than mere looks or adventure

It really isn't inspired by any nationality. The opposing faction's are red and black...Frost Mage wrote:Is the city's flag... Yep, that's Sweden's on its side.

Re: Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
So I haven't really heard much from people talking about it.. but any thoughts on the skyrim mash-up pack for minecraft? The world it features is nice and all, but some part of me wished they did a bit more in terms of interior.. like how the bulk of Dragonsreach is either void or blocked off. Same too with Bleakfalls.. I had so much hope to see some tiny dungeon.. didn't have to be an accurate example, but just a few spots here and there and the boss chamber.. that would of been swell...

Re: Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
I haven't been to Bleak Falls yet, but as for what I've seen so far (Riverwood and Whiterun) I'll say that I really enjoyed seeing the way they were represented in Minecraft, and there was actually a pretty good attention to detail in some parts. In others, not so much, but Minecraft does have its limitations. Seeing monsters come out at night within the walls of Whiterun, a place I'm so used to returning to as a safe haven, was definitely pretty jarring. Also, the low amounts of Villager-NPCs made it feel like a ghost town in comparison to the real Skyrim.
Despite my gripes, though, it's still a really cool mash-up, since obviously they did their best with the tools they had. And really, the thing I was most looking forward to anyway was going back into my own worlds with the texture pack and seeing how they look, which is something I have yet to do.

Re: Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
In whiterun.. there is a hole.. next to a house... full of villagers 0.o no joke.
I will applaud the massive detail and such, but it's evident exterior was more for focus. I'm fine with it.. but it's that extra mile that just leaves fans in such amaze
