Everytime I open a link on the forums now I get sent to surveys to win a iphoney 4S, only started on Friday, no problem before then.

Links from posts or ads? I would advise running a virus check and a program like CCleaner.

I followed your advice Lady Geeka, took me till 4 in the morning (22 hr day, feeling slightly groggy at moment) but it hasn't cured the problem. It is links from posts, although it appears their not members links, random words in posts will be highlighted as a link and these direct me to the survey site. If anyone has any suggestions would be appreciated, otherwise I will reinstall OS.

I'm not really sure what to do because I'm not having this problem... Is anyone else? Do you have advice for Stormborn?
If you make a topic in
the Tech Desk I bet you could get a solution really quick. Sadly I'm not really sure what this can be if it's individual!

I believe it was just me, those naughty people at 3 had snuck a load of stuff on my hard drive when I installed their mobile internet last week, one of the items was a nasty little program that picked up on words like win, offer & free etc. and linked you to prize sites. 9 hours of tinkering and a smashed up laptop later all is fixed, apart from reinstalling all the programs and replacing siad laptop.

Why is there two Vampire pages: Skyrim: Skyrim Vampires and Skyrim: Vampires? They are identical with the exception of a picture missing from the first of the two pages. Not really a big issue but I thought someone might want to fix this.

That actually is a wiki issue and probably would get more attention from our wiki editors and admins if you put it in the
wiki subforum here on the forums. This thread is primarily for issues relating primarily to the threads, and sometimes the wiki editors don't stroll through here.

I can't seem to find any kind of page like that. Unless you can provide a link, my testing shows that Skyrim:Skyrim Vampires just redirects to Skyrim:Vampire (like it does for Skyrim:Vampires). I'd say it was just a minor issue causing the image not to load the first time.

For the past 2-3 days, whenevr I go on the forums, the background is covered in the little page icons. It's really annoying since it covers a lot of the buttons up top like New Thread. Is there a solution to this?

You might try clearing your browser's cache. What browser are you using, TheUnforgiver?

I hate double posting, so I won't.
If you try to use tags in a thread you got to by going through the "Announcements" sub-forum they will not work.
I have tried this with quote and url tags.
Steps to repeat:
1. Go to board index
2. Click on "Announcements" sub-forum
3. Go to the Report Spambot thread
4. Post a reply with a URL tag
5. Watch it not work
Alternate ending:
3. Go to Musicman Welcome thread
4. Try to quote someone in a post
5. Watch it not work
This stays with the post no matter how you reach it later. Tags still won't work.

BBCode is OFF
Happening to me too Music. It seems that BBCode is turned off in that Forum. An Admin should be able to remedy this fairly easily through the ACP.

I do not see BBCode turned off. Might have skipped a permissions ticker. If someone tries again now, that would be great.

Works now. Thanks Avron!

That would have done it too
I don't think it needs to be said, but I'll say it anyway, it's so good having an Admin who's always close at hand.

Can you go into greater detail?

That keeps happening randomly to the forums.

Can you replicate the circumstances that caused that, and did anything specifically set that off? I know you said it was random, but every little detail helps with this kind of thing.

It stopped an hour or so ago, but I assume it's probably something wrong on my side if no one else was having that issue.
EDIT: Happening again. Seems as though whenever every page finishes loading, that happens.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the forum's not opening? Everything else I try is fine but the forum wouldn't open for me at all between 08.00 and 09.10 and even now it is taking for ever to submit a post or open a thread.

Yes, several people have commented on this in the thread called

You are not alone, Stormy.

Forums wouldn't load for me an hour ago and they do now but are a bit slower than usual.

It was probably nothing, but the internet only for the uesp forums wasn't working for a few minutes, taking forever to refresh, and then timing out.
After a few more tries, the forums eventually came up, but in a discombobulated manner, and then it worked after one more try.

Dave is going to be moving the back up schedule in hopes this will help. I know Sundays and late nights (for us on the US' eastern seaboard) are particularly troubling at all.
If you keep noticing the problem, Imp, let us know!
