The overseer, a brutal, merciless old dwarf called Arunomun Eran, stood in front of the group that was gathered round the fire.

"It has come to my attention that a certain dwarf has made off with some precious materials. I am paying you people to search for him, find him and bring him here for an... execution. We leave tomorrow. You get paid once the job is done." He instructed.

The duo dug holes, not deep, but deep enought to cover a dwarf standing up. They made seven holes when day time came. They filled the holes with rocks, sharp and dull. The holes were classicly covered with leaves and blended in with the rest of the mountain's fauna.

The band set out. For two days they ran, hardly stopping even to sleep. At last they reached a nice, serene clearing. All was quiet. Aronomun inspected the area.

"There's ash here. Just put out. That thieving dwarf is here. Go find him!" He grinned evilly.

The mercenaries set out, looking behind rocks and in holes. Suddenly, a scream erupted as two dwarves fell into a hole.

"Stop! The resourceful little bugger's set traps for us!" He yelled.

Renraku sees Amon Ruhd in sight. "Umbra.. you'll need to stay close to us now.. it could get dangerous" renraku said while Neptu was sharpening the blades on his lances and swords.

What is going to be in the dungeon and what is the artifact?

Shama couldn't help but chuckle as they heard the screams as they sprinted farther away from the camp site. In the tent, they set up stone pressure plates. Stepping into the tent would cause it to collapse. Along the wooden beam holding up the tent, were iron spikes sharp as they make them.

Shadow, Amon Rudh is a hill. There's a cave inside there.

The artefact will be something rare. Very rare. And dangerous.

"There's a tent. Adun, you go first!"

Adun, a timid dwarf, ran into the tent, only to have it collapse on him and spear him with many sharp spikes.

"Retreat! Let them escape! They'll be banished for their crimes!"

The couple has no idea how many people they have set dead. They knew they couldn't go back to their village. Where would a dwarf couple be accepted around here. They had money for a home and a doctor. They knew word spread fast, and they knew Arunomun Eran was a dangerous man

Arunomun sent his soldiers back to the village, however, he stayed to follow the couple. He couldn't see them but he was an extremely good tracker.

Renraku reaches the cave, "ready Neptu?" Renraku said putting on his clawed gloves. Neptu nodded and took two swords out of their scabbards. They Ventured into the dark abyss with only one light between them

Make it whatever you want but it has to be a weapon. But you don't know that.

A spider, not a tiny, timid one, crawled from it's hole. It growled at the two adventurers and scuttled away.

the arifact is a ancient weapon?...cool!

After cutting through a few webs and fighting a few giant spiders, in which Renraku went overkill on them, burning them to ash they came across a podium with a strange object on it. "This must be the artifact that the Crowmaster was talking about.." Renraku said. Neptu walks forward and steps on something that moved.

it's a trap? or is it a monster to guard it?

The spider reacted with brute strength, sending the man tumbling to the ground. More spiders slowly descended from the roof to protect their treasure.

Renraku looks mortified "spiders? WHY IS IT ALWAYS SPIDERS?" he said and let loose a giant fire ball in all directions hoping to burn them away.

How are dwarves stereotyped during this era?

Shama couldn't finda perfect place to stay. They wanted to find the best place of peace, and dwarves.

It scorched the spiders nearest to his fallen follower but did little to the rest, who swarmed round him. They made a containing web around the room and closed in for the kill.

Oh damn Neptu is dead? damnit!

Renraku goes to free hims self from the web with his clawed glove and rushes to get the artifact.

Not dead. Injured.

Neptu, enraged, threw the spiders off of him and began to beat them with his weapon.

Renraku looks at Neptu and pulls him out of the group of spiders. "if you keep them busy i could get the arifact." Renraku explians to him while running for the item. Neptu just nods and gets ready for a possible final stand

"Stop!" Came a voice from the darkness. "Children, settle down."

The spiders retreated uneasily.

"Ahhh... Renraku, it appears that you have passed the test. Now, hand me over the artefact."

Renraku looks puzzled. "show your self.. Crowmaster is it?" he said figuring this to be a test for a bigger contract. Neptu limps over to Renraku.

[Imp]

"Belegost!" Shama cried. "All the way in the Blue Mountains!"
"That will have to do." said Dwanum. So, they walked.

"Yes, my name is Crowmaster! But I will not show myself to you. I do not trust you. Give me the artefact and go to Brethil. There you will find a man called Findorin. He will show you your destiny, even if he does not know it."

Renraku sighs. Neptu gets some food and eats it. "what's in it for me and what about the money for the contract?" Renrau said calculating if he could take on the crowmaster

A bag of coins appeared on the floor.

"Take it. And don't even think about it. I could destroy you." With that, the entity left the cave in a puff of black tendrils.

The bags were packed of their belongings and money, and they set out on their hike to Belegost.
