Well, I bought a limited edition vinyl this year (In Rainbows discbox, which I believe Mr r also has), so for me, it's still alive and kicking.
And better... in this day of bitrates and compression, the analogue signal just keeps sounding more alive, and with better bass. Of course, you need decent speakers to do justice to vinyl.

Still, I'm lazy - and couldn't live without CD's and mp3's, even if they are both progressively worse than 12" goodness.

Just Listened To: the sound of my tv, as I watched MOTD2.

Tourist, I know what you mean. I downloaded "Paint it Black" and it has obviously been remastered. It doesn't sound as good as the original version. It has lost much of it's eerieness.

I keep freakin' downloading stuff when I'd much rather have the CD. I'm just weird like that.

I've never heard of them. That's not a very inviting post to try them out though either.

Prince "When Doves Cry"

Heard it on the way home from work.

"phew for a minute, there, i lost myself, i lost myself..."

[ one of the first songs by 'a band' which I was proud to play. It's easy of course, just your basic strummyness. But it's still a great song. ]
