Qa'Mhirr stretched on the floor, "Not the best sleep this one's had, but beats a crumbling fort," he wiped the grainy film from his mouth and began packing more of the bottles into his bag.

"Llarays has a weak stomach." Leiden laughed. "But besides that, no." He turned to Llarays. "Go get washed up." He said, before heading downstairs, to Thoryn. "Drinking already?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, as he saw the bottle.

"Nah, it was your cooking," Llarays said jokingly. He did get washed up, however, and after that stretched.

"Indeed," the Dunmer replied sourly, "So, what is the plan for today? Are we to head for that ruin you mentioned, or for Vivec?"

Night-Runner. turned in the massive King-Sized bed he'd crawled into last night. He mumbled to himself incoherently, pulling one of the many soft pillows down over his head. He shut his eyes and went back to sleep. this was the nicest bed he'd ever slept in, and he wasn't going to give it up just yet.

"We won't make it to Vivec in one day Thoryn, but I think we're better off putting as much distance between this town and ourselves. If all is well and good, we should reach Balmora by night fall, and from there, it's one last push to Vivec." Leiden took a drink from his canteen. "We're moving out in five minutes people! Let's go or get left behind!"

"Very good," Thoryn said, taking a final swig of his drink before stoppering the bottle. He then hefted his pack onto his shoulders and did a final sweep of the kitchen, taking what supplies he thought it prudent to liberate from the manor, including food and a number of potions and scrolls, as well as some clean linen, before making ready to move out, his spirits somewhat buoyed by the thought of their ultimate goal.

Leiden nodded, though didn't repeat his sentiment. It was true - he felt it in his heart, that the Daedra were not going to let them go yet. And yet, he could only hope that Azura was watching over them, and would guide them to safety.

Qa'Mhirr rummaged through his pack, throwing out the larger panels he had removed from his arm, the new one was much lighter and closer to his normal arm, as well as some lesser soul gems and a few heavier finds; running numbers through his head of weight to profit ratios. He gathered up the discarded items and threw them behind the bookcase and taking a few more precious gems instead. He slung his bag on his back, satisfied that it wouldn't slow him down and that there was enough room for more, but still a good amount of money to be made. He reclosed the bookcase and stood ready to leave.

Llarays did a quick search in the room he was in, stuffed everything he thought was light enough and valuable in his pack, and took a few bottles of wine, and a piece of wood. He then stood, ready to leave.

"C'mon, let's go." Leiden said. Leading the group to the door, he opened it and...

"Gods..." He muttered.

The group was in a huge arena, the likes of which he had never seen. It was rimmed by rivers of lava, and screaming people filled the stands. He could see horns... they were Dremora. And they were screaming one word.

Death.

Cages, filled with dead, rotting corpses surrounded them, and the sky was filled with dark clouds. A red sky could be seen to peak through. The dirt beneath their feet began to quake, and every went silent. The blood red sun was blocked from the sky, and a shadow appeared before them.

"So," A demonic, feminine voice said. "You are the 'hero' who destroyed my sword." It said to Leiden. "Boethiah," He muttered. "Indeed." She spoke back to him. "I was going to let one of you live, and even keep the sword. But now, I have different plans in mind. You will fight, not against each other, like I had planned, but as a team, and you will die. On the off chance you survive, I will reward you with your lives." She spoke with a cold, smug, arrogance that reminded Leiden of his nanny. He hated that she-demon. "And if we refuse?" He replied. "If you refuse, I'll kill you now." She said, before disappearing.

"Looks like we're fighting..." Leiden muttered.

"You've gone and done it now," Thoryn grumbled, drawing his sword, "You've incured the wrath of a Daedra, and now we all must pay the price. Come on, let's get this over with, we fight, for death and glory, or survival."

And with that, he made a silent prayer to Nerevar and hefted his shield, looking wearily around the arena.

"Leiden, calm yourself," Thoryn grunted, "we don not have to fight one another."

Llarays exhaled, and drew his sword. "What's the plan?" he said. "To charge or wait for them? Or I could use my bow to snipe them from afar."

"Hold back, we must fight as a unit," Thoryn instructed, watching Leiden uneasily, "Veriax, Leiden, Night-Runner and I will take the fore, Llarays, you and the Khajiit hang back, we don't know what Boethiah has in store for us, but you two are better out of the fray, fighting these foes from afar."

Spoiler:
She said "I had planned to let one of you live, and even keep my sword", combined with the fact she was going to pit us against each other in the Manor, means I thought it was pretty obvious she wanted us to kill each other, and since we refused, she got [&@%!]. Also, you forgot Night-Runner :P
"LET ME THINK!" He yelled. But he didn't have time to. At that point, a booming voice filled the arena. "Today, we have 6 new victims!" It was Boethiah. "Who will fight to their death, for your amusement. They will face five rounds of impossible enemies, and surely perish. Let's begin!"

At that point, a gate on the other side of the arena opened. Horrible snarling could be heard from inside. The whole arena went silent, as the group waited with anticipation. A creature, a horrible, deformed creature peered it's head out, and the crowd went wild. "HUNGER, HUNGER, HUNGER" They screamed, as more, and more, and more of them poured out into the arena. In total, ten. "Round one," Boethiah said. "BEGIN!" The hungers charged at the group.
Spoiler:
Each hunger requires a roll of 30 to kill. A roll of 45 kills two. Failure to roll 25 will result in an injury, to which a penalty will be applied to your combat, and a failure to roll 20 will result in you being knocked out. Somebody knocked out requires a healing roll of 30 to be revived, and a roll of 35 to be put back in the fight with an injury. A healing roll of 40 brings the person back into the fight without injury. After round one, everyone downed is revived, with an injury, unless they have been healed.

Leiden didn't have time to think, or to plan, or to strategise. He just did what came naturally. "CHARGE!" He yelled, drawing his sword, running headlong into the group of hungers. He slid and...
Spoiler:
rolled a 27
slashed at the hunger directly in front of him. His sword hit it's ankle, and injured it, but left it alive. It swiped at him, but he was already behind the group, where he prepared to fight to the end.

Spoiler:
Oops, yeah I was checking the OP and forgot about Roadcone

Thoryn saw Leiden charge and followed, seeing that failure to do so might have devastating consequences for his fellow Dunmer. He dove at the nearest Hunger, slashing viciously across it's chest as he twirled in a deadly arc, cutting it from left hip diagonally up it's front until he hit bone and neck, killing the Daedra.

Leiden immediately ran back into the back, driving his sword into the back of a Hunger. It went straight through the beast, and it turned it's head and snarled, before dying. Leiden kicked it and pulled out his sword simultaneously.

Spoiler:
42

Thoryn heard Veriax's call and made towards the Dunmer, hurtling into the side of one of the Hunger who had focused its attention on the two other Dunmer, knocking it to the side and sending it reeling, giving Thoryn enough time to bring is sword down upon it's neck, cleaving it's head from it's body and killing it.

Spoiler:
52, hell yeah!
"Zahb is here!" the Khajiit howled in delight at the battle already underway. Qa'Mhirr aimed his right arm at a Hunger circling around the group of Dunmer, firing the mounted crossbow for the first time. The bolt flew fast and sunk deeply into the creature's protruding ribcage, dropping it in seconds. This garnered the attention of another and Qa'Mhirr had little time to react, he reflexively drove his right arm into the Hunger's chest, stunning the beast longer enough for the dagi-raht to pull out his spider queen's fang dagger and plunge the improvised weapon into the hunger's stomach multiple times, turning its internal organs into a bloody mess. He pulled out his right arm just in time before the beast's corpse fell.

Dang it, 42.
Llarays sheathed his sword, while drawing his bow, and he notched an arrow. Seeing a Hunger, he quickly fired it, and the arrow went through the beast, killing it. The arrow dropped harmlessly to the ground after penetrating the creature, however.

"On your right, Llarays!" It moved its head slightly as is slowly died, unable to move its body because its partially severed spine.

"Qa'Mhirr strolled up to Leiden picking his sword out of the hunger's corpse, "Swords are for slashing, next time you want to play darts, khajiit will bring actual darts," he joked jovially.
