Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Spoiler:
"This is the prophet." the General explained. "He is the current 'One'. Those who hold the title of the 'One' are able to communicate with the Old God himself. These prophets live exactly one-hundred years. The minute he or she dies, the next mortal child that is born in Andia becomes the next One. These special individuals recieve visions from the Old God." The General pointed to the old man. "He saw each of you in a vision."
"The Old God is within you." the old man stated. "All eight of you. In my dream one year ago, I watched that day unfold before it had even happened. The Old God whispered your names into my ear. He said that you were Andia's only hope of survival."

Gladro stood silent he had heard stories of such impossible things as a child and this old prophet made his blood run cold.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

"You saw it..." Ashriel started, "Yet didn't stop it. My dad died, you know. Do you know? Barvel Vega. You saw his death coming but didn't try and stop it."

Ring-a-ding, baby.

"Your father was meant to die." said the One. "I could do nothing to stop it. His death was Fate's plan...as is the liberation of Andia at your hands."

"Really?" Ashriel narrowed his eyes. "Meant to die, was he? [&@%!], and you know it."

Ring-a-ding, baby.

"That's not religion," Hremai countered, offering no explanation.

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Gladro had a lot on his mind at this point. He had never thought of the old god much in his life. His father talked about him but he never knew if he was real or cared for he wasn't part of his life. Gladro could never see a way the old god could improve the state in which he lived. He wondered if the old god really was helping them and how much that would change everything.

The One nodded to Ashriel. "Your father is with the Old God, Ashriel. I promise this. Perhaps...one day...you shall be able to see him once again."
The old man turned to Valentin. "Well, Mister Fairfax," he said. "You have a very busy day ahead of you."
"Yes, you do." Sanchez cut into the conversation. "You'll be recieving your first mission today. But do not worry. The One will serve as your guide. He can mentally speak to each of you over extremely long distances by using the power of the Old God. There is an-"
"LEAVE!" the One suddenly blurted out. "GET OUT!!! NOTIFY THE SOLDIERS!!!!"
"What?" Sanchez asked the old man, confused. "What are you-"
"THEY ARE COMING!!!! THE ICA!!!!! WE MUST PREPARE FOR AN ATTACK!!!!"

"Well, gee, what a surprise..." Hremai muttered, looking in partly confusion at Sanchez, awaiting orders.

"Well...What the hell do we do!?" Valentin asked anxiously. He was partly excited for a fight with the ICA.
