I WANTED to call it Geurilla Radio but that almost seemed too obvious. :P

Honestly Kerr I was stressing over a possible theme to go with, and while I was brainstorming I just happened to shuffle into a Spotify pocket of hip-hop (my main playlist is like 500+ songs so it's all over the place) and it kinda just... made sense

Also when's the last time you saw "Cyberpunk Harlem" as a setting

Correction, since when have you saw Harlem be the setting for anything lately :dur:

But no no, I love the rebel radio hip-hop funk vibe. Really lets ya get creative. Why go with generic badass/mercenary/toughy when you can strap on that gas mask, tag a few streets, and be that colorful rebel of a [&@%!]

Difficult to ignore an RP with Del the Funky Homosapien on the soundtrack.

(I'm unfortunately not sure if I'll have the time to add it to what I am already committed to, but you have my attention anyways.

When would this be starting earliest?)

Del is my favorite hip hop artist bar none.

I'm not starting this until early 2018 at the very, very earliest. I'm already running two campaigns at once and I'm not taking on a third, this was just to throw out the idea before I work on it further.

Double post, yes, whatever, but hey; while we're talking reboots and revives, we've all got these insanely convoluted and complex ideas floating around for stuff year(s) in the future and all that, but...

When was the last time we talked about a good old-fashioned zombie roleplaying campaign? Last I checked, the forum has never finished one.

Something super light and simplified. Just some Left-4-Dead-but-with-slower-zombies?-esque kinda thing. Zombie apocalypse, fight your way across suburbia to the safe zones, deal with moral ramifications, make it clearly evident that Union has never seen or read the Walking Dead, etc etc...

Yes. Apologies. I could have been more clear.

I've wanted another zombie RP for years. You can count me interested whoever the DM.

On that subject, sorry for being responsible for one of the failed ones - it may not be in my best interests to join more RPs for the time being, but whether or not I'm involved if/when it comes around, I trust you to learn from my mistakes and make a great one! :)

I don't mean to make it a call-out kind of deal. It wasn't your fault, we've all got stuff to do.

Speaking of who's gonna run it... As of right now I'm actually ONLY a DM in the sub, since my last player appearance was in GWN which just ended.

I am willing to run a quick zombie RP, because it's low pressure and doesn't require a lot of research like Persona or TA2, and I'm already doing my best to not go crazy repeatedly checking the "view your posts" link. Still, if anyone wants to step up to the plate, I'd super be down.

Until then, I'm gonna figure something out and have it up in a few days. Maybe we can figure out some kind of communal DM system or do some episodic swapping. We'll see, I certainly don't mind adding a 3rd rp to my current repertoire at all.

Plus I think it's high time for TA2 to crank itself into high gear and proceed to the end of the plot (it's been, like, 3 years since I took over? Something like that?) because we're NEVER going to finish at the current rate, but that's a discussion for later and elsewhere.

I presume even if Union completed the plot, TA could continue, going back to something better approximating its roots if someone doesn't introduce a grand new plot.
Unionhack wrote:... communal DM system or do some episodic swapping.
I think this is a good idea. It would also give people who'd never DM'd before a chance to do so in what would be a super low pressure environment.

As someone that has tried to get RPs up, i would like a communal thing. It's namely the darn plot that causes me to scrap it. So far, i've tried XCOM several times, a TES COW one, a reboot of that one RP of Sheogorath and a Dragon Age one. Just get too ambitous, realise i've potentially written the plot into a corner, can it and repeat. :( But being able to write an episode for an ongoing RP would be interesting. I'm not saying I would but a certain mission from XCOM may serve as a template.

Alright, here is what I have developed thus far. Working title because I have trouble thinking of good title ideas. I'm going to be borrowing lots of Left 4 Dead concepts because it's my personal favorite zombie setting atm, but I don't want to straight up dip into making a L4D RP so as to retain some element of surprise.

Get ready for the most generic zombie apocalypse plot you've ever seen.

Our Mutual Destruction - A Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay

Hidden:
It started like any other news story about a virus 'sweeping the nation'; the newest in a streak of swine flu and ebola-esque epidemics that always seemed to be happening miles away from the safety of your own home. You never thought it would find its way to you.

On April 19th, 20XX, news broke out about the rapid outbreak of what was previously seen as a containable contagion; Strain 16 (Also called the Unilateral Endocrine Seizing Pathogen), an altered form of toxoplasmosis, had ravaged a small suburb of Dallas, Texas. On April 20th, the disease had spread as far as to Houston. By the time the week was over on April 26th, most of the United States west of the Mississippi river was crawling with the infected, colloquially referred to as 'zombies' by laymen.

Hope for survival remains, however. Most humans still living in the western United States have learned that the virus has not breached the eastern half of the country, and has failed to breach containment measures on the Mexican and Canadian borders. It is surmised that the zombies are unable to survive in water, and thus there is one possible escape to the safety of the East Coast; the Crescent City Connection, a bridge in New Orleans.

You are a survivor of the Strain 16, and it has been three weeks since the initial infection broke out. Whether genetically immune, resourceful, or just incredibly lucky, you have managed to stumble your way past the zombie hordes into The Last Stop; a survivor den in Shreveport, Louisiana, where survivors congregate as they prepare to make the treacherous journey south to New Orleans and the CCC. The military has all but abandoned the western US and has been sporadically bombing cities deemed too far gone to save, and you must make it to the crescent city before you are caught in such a bombing; or worse, torn apart by the infected.

_____________________

Our Mutual Destruction is a simple, good old-fashioned episodic zombie apocalypse roleplay. In it, you play a surviving human who has escaped the U.E.S.P plague (AKA "Strain 16") that has transformed living humans (or perhaps corpses?) into shambling zombies intent on slaughtering the living.

Little is known about the zombies and the exact nature of their condition save for what has been discerned by survivors or conveyed over emergency military radio channels. It is evident that they do not transfer the disease by bite or scratch, and the only known way of being 'made' into a zombie is to accidentally swallow (or take into one's bloodstream) the tepid fluid that was once their blood. Given the low occurrence of this method of transmission, it is evident that there is some other method of zombie-procreation that accounts for the sheer number of the walking dead.

Of the estimated 180 million residents of the western United States, only about 30 million people have survived the outbreak thus far, with more dying from zombie attack, military bombing, or lack of supplies each day. Most are holed up in survivor dens throughout the United States, trying to outlast the epidemic. Supplies are low, morale has plummeted, and humanity continues to turn on each other in the fight for resources.

How long will you survive?

The roleplay will make very simple use of a very simple attribute system. There are 5 attributes each character will have:

- Physical Ability (Strength, Physical Conditioning, General Stamina and Dexterity)
- Mechanical Ability (Ability to operate machinery, fix devices and firearms, general technical know-how)
- Leadership Ability (Charisma and the ability to keep a cool head under pressure, tactical knowledge)
- Academic Ability (General knowledge of several subjects including medicine, science, higher forms of engineering, etc)
- Perceptive Ability (Marksmanship, Perception of fine details or objects in the far distance, etc)

Upon character creation, you will rank each of these attributes from 1-5, 5 being the ability your character is strongest in and 1 being the ability your character is weakest in. The RP will rely on both ability approximations on the DM's judgment and rolls of an 8-sided die based on your skills.

This is all subject to change, of course, but it's about all I've got thus far.

The RP will take place in 3-4 'episodes' in which we'll switch DMs (probably). The decision on who gets which chapter will be up to me to decide. I'm thinking I will take the first and last episodes and distribute 2 and 3 (perhaps 4 if we decide to extend it) to others to give it their own flavor.

Anyone who dies without the brain being destroyed becomes a zombie is way better than blood or bites. Not just because I like Romero films but from a combat perspective "One bite and you're done" is pretty harsh, imagine if Resident Evil worked off those rules. "One bite and you desperately need antibiotics or you're going to get horrible sick and die" now that's a different story.

Hmm, Resident Evil would be a really good basis for a zombie RP now that I think of it, way better than generic setting. You'd even have an end goal to work toward, "escape from Zombieland/stop Umbrella" instead of just hold up somewhere. Also you have zombies but also all the other weird monsters the T-Virus makes, which is a lot. Just fighting regular old zombies might get dull, with Resident Evil you get zombies (crimson heads if you don't burn or decapitate the zombies) zombie dogs, hunters, lickers, crows, bosses that are just giant versions of animals, etc. You can mix things up with puzzles and research facilities. Also if you set it after the Raccoon City incident then the existence of zombies is already a known fact, ever since 1998 zombie outbreaks are just kinda a thing that happens sometimes in the world of Resident Evil. Although I'd say setting it in Raccoon City in 1998 is the way to go. You could also play up the 1990s setting a lot.

I agree with Kerr. I think Resident Evil Outbreak had that as a feature but very toned down. I think it was a "If you die, ye are zombie." affair. Resident Evil, er... it's so-so. The public knows about Raccoon City due to what Umbrella/Goverment did to contain it followed by a ton of leaks but the other outbreaks are kept secret. AS far as they know, it's only occured once.

THere's also Tyrants, Kerr. How could you forget Tyrants!? Hoooow!?

I think the reason why all zombie RPs die is because it just drags on before it really starts. It may be worth starting it with the outbreak occuring(something like Resident Evil Outbreak's first level) that forces us to work together. Also, i would like to DM one of the episodes. Got a few concepts and one of them, admittely is pure evil but makes for an interesting thing.

If You Meet Buddha On The Road:
Kill him, for the real Buddha rests in all of us

Humanity has undergone a gross shift in power in recent times, the real 1% is now those with powers, capabilies dreamed of only in one's wildest dreams, violating the laws of nature and physics. Such people are known as "Meta" or if one is feeling particularly degragatory "Mutants" or "Muties" although often those who would say such words do it behind closed doors to themselves. But even in the 1% there is a 1% those with powers with earth shattering capabilities, in offical documents these are referred to as a Thousand. As such they are treated with apprehension, a single Thousand is considered to be similar to a nation and with all the variation in human minds several Thousand have taken up the politics of a nation, some have taken to selling their power to other nations.

After all they have power and why shouldn't they do what they will with it? You can too be one of the Meta, or even one of the Thousand, such is what the universe has gifted you with the capability to do.
All I got so far but growing and growing.

I am going to propose something weird and different and experimental, and even if you have zero interest I would really appreciate as much feedback as possible.

Chicago, IL 2018. Neither of Chris's parents had shown, but that didn't mean he didn't have his family around them the day they were buried. The ceremony had been brief and irreligious, as he would have wanted. You'd chosen the readings together - an eclectic mix of classic rock, modernist verse and Neitzche. Watching the coffin make its descent into the excavated space, you only wished that you could have said that final goodbye in person before they had disappeared.

There will be three, maybe four, of yous. You play one of a group of friends - what sort of group is up to you. Whatever the case yous have known each other for years. Like all groups of friends, you have your differences, ups and downs, tightness varies. But they're still the best friends you have ever had. The RP is set in the immediate aftermath of the death of one of yous - Chris, the life of the group, the reason many of yous know each other. While no details have been released, police say it was a murder. You don't have to look into this. You might prefer to dive into work, or studies, or a wine bottle. The narrator doesn't judge. But he would be surprised if it wasn't on your mind.

This RP expects a lot from you. Firstly I will need initiative. What happens in this RP is up to you. Search for Chris's murderer - fine. Quit your jobs and go on a road trip to Vegas - also fine. There is a plot: a puzzle, which, on solving, will end the RP. But it is for you to discover yourself. Secondly, people will aim to post to a moderately advanced standard. This will tend much more toward collaborative fiction than the usual contents of this subforum: interaction and development are its central ethos. Engage your environment, use all your senses. But write quality over quantity. The aim should be for character relationships to drive scenes, not me.

I hope I have piqued some interest. If I have, make sure to tell me, because I won't know to develop this idea otherwise.

Spoiler:
What happened after Chris

While set in Chicago, this RP will not require any special knowledge about the city. Just understand the basics and you're set.

Posting - General

One of the measures through which RP differs from the typical in what it demands from you.

Firstly I want to see initiative. This is not a straightforward, linearly plotted narrative. What the characters do will be entirely up to you. There is a plot. A puzzle which, upon being solved, will bring about the conclusion of the RP. I hope you solve it - I think it's neat. But you might choose not to. You might rather reject such bounds on your creative energies as the will of an illegitimate tyrant and go play crepes in Vegas, or join a death-cult, or run for president, or spend all your time on a weird elder scrolls roleplaying sub. This is a story about your characters - it's set-up to be yours, not mine.

Secondly, I would rather see you spend a week on a post which engages your environment and meaningfully moves the plot forward than post daily filler. Character interaction and development are the central ethos underpinning this RP and the better your post, the better the response might potentially be. Engage your environment, use all your senses. If you find yourself writing a couple of lines, you probably need to stop and think about how that's moving the plot forward. Of course write quality over quantity. But note that this is intended to read more like collaborative fiction than your usual RP here.

Sometimes you might find yourself contained in rapid fire conversation with another player. This happens. And normally when I'm engaged in conversation with a person I am not simultaneously absorbing the sweet scent of the surrounding petunias while the crisp Sping air cools my brow and I feel the morning sun glide through my fingertips. At least that I am paying any notice to. To this end, I introduce the innovation of collaborative posting. That means, if you feel like you're about to engage in lengthy dialogue with one or more characters, don't be afraid to jump in private messaging and conduct the interaction there, and then submit the entire interaction as one post. This keeps the contents of the conversation restricted to one post - as opposed to split up over several pages - and also allows for the production of a crisper final product. You can find an almost four year old example between MARS and myself, here.

This isn't necessary but I would prefer it.

Posting - You and Your Envoirment

The most important difference between this RP and most RPs from the perspective of play is that you, the player, have a substantial role when it comes to narration and control over your environment. Fundamentally this is an RP about character development - not a mission objective - and the environment very much exists to service this. In this RP you will find you have wide-ranging powers to use the environment to tell a story.

The vast majority of interactions are going to take place in generic locations: public parks, cafes, train stations and other places we typically frequent on a day-to-day basis. In these environments, players can control the outcomes of mundane interactions. So don't wait for me to dice roll as to whether you have managed to successfully purchase a soft drink from the vending machine. The hope here is that players will be able to connect the outcomes to their personality: adding to the above, don't wait for me to have your klutz-of-a-character spill their coffees all over themselves either. This also extends to you being able to invent objects that would be plausibly found in the environment: if you're in a cafe, you don't need to check for sugar, just grab it.

One further extension of this is allowing players to control supporting characters. In other words 1) introduce supporting characters were plausible, 2) write their dialogue. So, if you're in a cafe, it's fine to sketch in a barista and have your character briefly flirt with them while they order coffee. Just don't be a Mary-Sue, your character's jokes probably aren't as funny as they think they are. You can also introduce supporting characters which move along a scene. If you want to write in your character's ex-boyfriend as sitting in the back of the cafe in the motivation of some narrative goal, do it. There's no iron-clad rule here but with the supporting characters you create, it's best not to let them linger more than one or two posts in dialogue-mode. Their purpose is to service your character (or, eh, contribute to their development), they're not supposed to be a second character.

There are two further rules. If you're engaging in combat, I have to roll dice, so in that instance, you don't have a right to control. If someone else has created a supporting character, you cannot control that character without their permission.

Posting - An Example

Below is an example post:
Hidden:
Chris awoke with a low, drawn-out groaning. The dull ringing behind her ears was an immediate reminder of the nights events. Her hands had instinctively stretched out. Searching for Gregory’s warm embrace she found instead upturned blankets and an unnerving stickiness. The odour of raspberries, with an undercurrent of synthetic, greeted her. One eye peaked open, a crusty lid almost buckling under the weight of her exhaustion. It scanned the empty space beside her before reaching out toward her alarm clock. 11:30am, it read. That meant five hours sleep, her usual. They must have drank a lot for her to be feeling so [&@%!].

The whine of her electric shower reminder her she had guests. That meant--. With a half-lunge she shifted over the the edge of her bed, reaching beneath until she found the familiar softness. The plush was pulled into the centre of her chest. “I’m so sorry Gregory.” She rolled onto her back and sat the teddy bear onto her chest. The bear smiled back, seemingly unperturbed by his night below deck. “So sorry.” Gregory always slept before deck when she had guests over. Explaining to someone she had over that, at twenty-five, she kept a teddy bear was not something she relished. That he was a he made it even weirder. For as long she could remember, she had never the inclination to sleep with a boy. But, for some reason she no longer recalled, four-year-old her had decided it was a great name--and, so, she did.

The shower came to an abrupt halt and Gregory quickly burrowed himself beneath the sheets. Chris felt underneath her pillow for her phone and quickly withdrew it, clicking into the first news article she found: something about securitized autoloans and financial stability. When Tara emerged from her bathroom, she didn’t allow a glance up. She’d be engrossed in her article. Entirely. It didn’t--no, never--bothered her how quickly the other woman was up, that she never wanted to spend the morning with her. Never.

Tara interrupted her reading with a small cough, shifting uncomfortably on her feet at Chris’s gaze rose to meet her. She was dressed in the loose-fitting shimmer top and high-waist navy jeans she had worn the night before. Her black hair remained damp from the shower and it hung in loose curls. Her eye’s never met Chris’s. It found, rather, a spot some distance above her head. They’d gone out for drinks four times now, had sex three times. All those time’s it had been at her own place. Tara never wanted to disturb her neighbours--or let them know she was gay more likely. A anthropology grad student, with inevitably terrible opinions about economics, she was nevertheless kind and caring and a rocket in bed. But also the most reluctant lesbian Chris had ever met. So she knew Tara was never going to speak first:

“Y’all leaving so soon?” Her Southern drawl creeped into her voice.

Tara nodded: “I, eh, I have--”

“--stuff to do,” Chris finished, smiling knowingly and hoping Tara wouldn't see the tinge of sadness behind it. While she couldn’t make it out through her dark skin, she knew she had made the other woman blush. Tara had taken at least two steps back in response.

“I had fun,” she eventually managed.

“We should do it again,” Chris agreed.

Neither said another word as Tara shuffled awkwardly out, leaving a small smile by way of a goodbye. The moment the door was closed, Chris tossed her phone to the other side of the bed. Her hand reached under the covers to retrieve Gregory. “We don’t need her anyways, do we.” It was whispered to the bear, who nodded furiously in agreement.
Most obviously we see that this post introduces the supporting character, Tara. Note that she's removed at the end of the post. Note further that she's manipulated in such a manner as to develop our idea of my character. Less obviously is that my character doesn't need to wait on the DM to locate Gregory for them, he can just be found. This post will be a good guide as to how far you can go.

Per example,
Hidden:
Name: Christina Ingram
Nickname(s): Chris
Age: 25
Sex: F
Gender: F
Reason for being in Chicago: Student, enrolled at UChicago.
Occupation: Chris is currently enrolled in an economics graduate programme at University of Chicago, fully funded. Her research is focused around historical trade networks in Latin America, or well that’s what she happens to tell her friends. It’s really substantially more specific than that, and is mostly about efficient railroad design.
Appearance [2 paragraphs]:
By no measure overweight--though the long hours thesis-writing enforced had her at the heaviest since her mid-teens--Chris has always possessed a certain squishiness, generally. Her tight-cropped black hair was parted to drift rightwards across her temples, otherwise framing a set of soft features. Round cheeks only served to emphasise the roundness of her face. Her eyes, a stunning cobalt blue, are her sole distinction. Large and expressive, but nevertheless of greater decorative than functional use. Near-sighted, she was never caught without a pair of thick-framed lenses defending them. These sat above her button-like nose, the frames forever sliding down to perch at the edge when she peers in at an object. Each eye would glow when she smiled, what could only be described as a happy, toothy thing.
Her general dress style made it difficult to determine the true proportions of her body. Typically Chris is wrapped in layers which conceal the extent of her own curviness, a loose-fitting sweater or shirt or cardigan destroying any suggestion of shape on her upper person. The natural shapliness of her hips or the fullness of her buttocks will be brought on in one of her many pairs of denim high-waist jeans, but a preference for tops that trail low typically conceals it. Nevertheless, the strength located in her thighs is difficult to miss, a product of her time with her college undergraduate cycling team. On occasion, she manages to suppress these insecurities and embrace her body: striking to impress, a tight fitting dress and a belt adjusted to fit across her waist can emphasise her assets, and have her friends wondering why she doesn’t adopt the style more.
Three likes:
  • Cycling. Having adopted the sport in high school, and gotten involved competitively in her undergraduate, Chris has dialed down her involvement to a cycle or two a month. While she’s always found cycling into the countryside to be a therapeutic exercise, commitment to her PhD has eliminated the bulk of the free time she has once devoted to it. Every January she resolves to cycle more.
  • Red Wine. Chris ensures that enough of her stipend is leftover at the end of the month to support her wine habit. A cheap red a week keeps the doctor away from your heart or something like that.
  • Nietzsche Studies. Chris always claimed that if she hadn’t wanted a job, she would have enrolled in a PhD in the intellectual history with an emphasis on the writings of Nietzsche and his influence. While never pursued, she has still managed to read her ragged, dog-eared copy of the Genealogy of Morality at least a dozen times.
Three dislikes:
  • NIMBYism. A self-styled anti-NIMBY or YIMBY, Chris is a member of Chicago’s largest activist group opposed to current land zoning practices and other restrictions on expanding the stock of housing. She makes a point to clear time in her schedule to attend town meetings on housing policy.
  • Warm weather. Perhaps a surprise given she was raised in the sun belt, but for Chris the best afternoons were those with a light chill. Get too cold, you can throw on an extra layer and hey-presto, it’s fine. Get too warm and, well, eventually you reach a point where you’re out of layers to take off. Plus, sweat is itchy and disgusting.
  • Being late. Chris has always been a stickler for time, and detests the idea of keeping someone waiting. Preferring to take a bus which will have her at an appointment 30 minutes early than potentially 5 minutes behind time.
Personality [2-3 paragraphs]:
Excitable to the point of being overbearing at times, Chris loves to involve herself across all range of conversation. Whether it’s sharing the latest current affairs, engaging points about Kafka (whether she’ll ever get around to finishing Metamorphosis or not), or debating her own field in transport policy and economic history, she can jump into conversations with little care for seeming rude or intrusive. She keeps track of all these topics through the maintenance of a very active reading habit: engaged with three or four books at once (and across three or four fields at that), she endeavours to keep on top of as much as possible. Otherwise jovial, and always looking for an angle to enter any scene from, it is no surprise that Chris typically exists at the centre of any social situation.
This is likely to present an aura of confidence. And Chris does the best to ensure that illusion is as complete as possible. However, beneath this, she has always struggled with support a strong self esteem or a positive self-image. Several very failed relationships later has thought her question her capabilities to sustain anything in that department. Beyond this lurks a constant fear that any pretentions of intellectual competence will be shown-up as fraudulent - or, worse still, her peers already suspect such and only suffer her as a tired joke. Add long-running issues with body confidence, and one would be surprised she managed to escape from bed in the morning.
Bio [2-3 paragraphs]:
Having grown up gay in rural Arkansas, Chris was fairly certain that she was an abomination before she had quite gotten around to learning to spell the word. Introduce the conflict-prone nature of her parents relationship, and it didn’t make for an environment very conductive toward positive reinforcement. Too busy slinging insults, and sometimes furniture, to comment on their daughters academic excellence, role models were largely drawn from her underfunded, country school and textbooks--very very mostly textbooks. Her accidental outing at age fourteen didn’t help matters, though four older brother’s ensured that she avoided the worst of it and she soon learned to develop a personality cool to the attention. Never too popular, her natural gregariousness ensured she always had a solid social circle, even if some life-long friends detached themselves during middle school.
Being accepted into the very prestigious UChicago, she was granted the space to grow into her interests. Joining everything that even shook an interest, she set out to embed herself as deeply into the new culture as she could. But keeping up was difficult. She never quite managed to shake the feeling that a country bumpkin like her didn’t quite belong alongside the children of CEOs, professors and corporate directors, regardless of how many As her classes returned. University also introduced her to her very first romantic experiences, uniform disasters the lot of them. As it turned out, watching mom and pops beat on each other for two decades hadn’t inculcated in her the greatest relationship management skills.
Graduating a double major in mathematics and economics, she took a year out as a research assistant for famous urban economist before applying for--and being accepted into--Chicago’s PhD program. Her research focused on the intersection of transport, trade and economic history.
On January 17 2018 Chris was reported missing and February 14, 2018, she was found dead. The cause of death, and the events surrounding it, have not been released by police.

Practice OP, will probably be getting bits added on later on
:
Yes A Dishonored roleplay by yours truly. Now sit down while I try to drop some knowledge like it's hot. (that's how the cool kids do it right?)

Sagguto: A City of Serkonos. Known for it's ornate bridges and it's labyrinthine waterways that carve through the entire city. This is the city in which you reside. The police force has been cracking down on 'improper' behaviour hard in the last months, a tale of a youth having their arm broken or their teeth chipped has not been uncommon. All the [Steward/Prince] can say is that such items are going appropriately according to the proper channels.
[Steward/Prince] Amerin: The one in charge of overseeing the entire city, a man who those in charge refer to, and who talks directly to the Duke's ears. Rumours are swirling about him, but despite all checking it out they seem to remain that, rumours. All polls show that he remains loved by all.
Commissioner McKinney: A stern woman, who's adherent fixation on the law could be called religious, or fervent. Whispers abound are about her actions with prisoners suggesting a lust to punish to the death.

Now all the boring parts are done lets' get to sheet making, first of all don't forget your MAGPIES
M - Mystic, governs your capability with bonecharm creation, void magicks and other such magical rituals
A - Agility, governs how well you can tranverse terrain like rooftops, flexibility and speed
G - Guile, governs how well your tongue sounds to other people, your capability to traverse the social ladders
P - Perception, governs how you look, how accurate your aim is
I - Intelligence, governs how expansive your knowledge is, guns and such like that could even be manufactured.
E - Endurance, governs your capability for punishment
S - Strength, governs the strength beneath your arms and legs.
You start with 0 points in each attribute, with 35 points,
Now onto the Marks and Charms portion, you have several choices, you can take 4 Bonecharms, 4 Void/Mark Powers or 2 Bonecharms and 2 Void/Mark Powers. You can place down what you seek for the Void/Mark Powers/Bonecharms however they will be decided in part due to your character's personality and station, and perhaps other things.

Looks good, wanna run through some things as advice.

-If you're looking for a title for the ruler of the city, Baron is what I recommend. Duchies are divided into Baronies/Counties afterall. Typically speaking a Principality would be on or with higher status than Duchy and it has all sorts of familial implications. If you don't like that, (High) Stewart is pretty good.

-You should increase the MAGPIES points from 35 to 40 to accommodate having 7 stats. The reason CASPIE has 35 is I took a point off SPECIAL which uses 40.

-What is transportation like in the city, is it all boats or are there trams too? What kind of industries does the city have? Agriculture, whaling, weapons, steelworks, etc. Is there a university? Maybe they're all called Academies in Dishonored, I'm not sure. I'm assuming it has wind power like Karnaca.

-I recommend bone charms and powers being a thing players can get more of as the RP goes along. Not have what we start out with be all we can ever get. Like, full disclosure, some poor berk falls off a rooftop with bonecharms around their neck, I'm nabbing them. Maybe do the same with void powers, although simplify the unlocking system compared to the games, naturally.
