Suran, Guardhouse

Niralie fought for breath, coughing, as she inhaled a lungful of the smoke that had rapidly filled the room. She ducked down near the ground, where the smoke was thinnest, and breathed in some of the slightly clearer air. She could hear fighting on all sides of her, and quickly cast a light spell, hoping to see who was who. Bad idea, she thought. The light didn't pierce the cloud of smoke; rather, it just lit up the nearest part of it, making it appear more solid.

She heard footsteps running toward her and jumped to her feet, drawing her sword. A large figure burst into the lit-up area around her. Niralie had just enough time to confirm that it was a seaman, and not one of her companions, before he reached her and she struck at him with the sword.

Suran

Per knew Gudrun was mental, but he didn't think she'd assault someone randomly the moment they got ashore. He was apprehensively standing back wondering what the the poor sods had done to invoke Gudrun's wrath - someone had probably looked at her funny. That was until he heard a somewhat familiar, rasping woman's voice shouting from within the guardhouse. After a moment of consideration he quickly ran towards the guardhouse.

Per hadn't known a lot of Dunmer in his life other than his adventuring companions. Only halfway over to the guardhouse did he realize that kind of raspy voice was probably the norm around here, but he kept running and pulled out his waraxe none the less. If anything, he could excuse himself as wanting to help in the fight because of his undying loyalty to Gudrun.

Per is still rather weak from the boatride? I forget.

I'm assuming man in light armor in peak physical condition is faster than sickly middle aged man in heavy armor? I'll edit if you want though.
Arellius Afer III - Suran

Arellius' good mood dissipated quickly as he watched the big, bulky Nord begin to sprint away, moving rather fast considering the weakened state he was in. He watched him move a moment, pondering over what the best course of action would be - follow him and chance getting caught up in the fighting or allow him to rush in and die. It didn't take an awful lot of pondering, truth be told. He knew what Gudrun would want and he wasn't going to do otherwise, valuing his life. He slowly drew his ebony sword and began to charge after him, his light armor weighing him down less and relatively good health allowing him to catch up rather quickly despite the other man's headstart.

"Where'n the name o' Talos d'ye think yer off t'Nord?" he growled, once he'd got within a few feet. "Ye'll stop unless ye wan'me to ram my blade up yer ass, got tha'?"

Yeah, that seems about right-
Suran

Per did not stop, but slowed down and turned to look at Arellius. This guy really had a temper on him. Thankfully, Per had learned on the boat that fooling him was not too hard.

He put on the most charming smile he could while still running. "Eh, heh," he panted. "We've gotta help'em in there! We're, eh, the best wa-hah-rriors in the damn crew. They need us, c'mon chief!"

Arellius Afer III - Suran

Arellius may not have been the brightest on Tamriell and he'd been fooled many a time in his life but he knew had to follow a plan, a plan that did not involved rushing into the guardhouse with a man, who going by Gudrun's word, was most likely to betray them at the first opportunity. So he didn't give up it his pursuit, picking up speed instead and getting into a position where he (hoped) he could bundle Per to the ground again did the audacious Nord insist on continuing.

"Stop, Nord!" he repeated by way of a final warning, "Ye really want t'help then ye can wait wi'me. Chase down tha' survivors when they try t'escape."

Combat is up to the combatants to figure out. You can talk via PM or IM or whatever and plan it out, or you can write it so that your opponent has a fair chance to react. As long as you're not being unfair or implausible about it, I don't mind. As for NPC-oriented battles, you are in control of them, as long as you stay reasonable. If you're unsure about something PM me.
Guardhouse

Niralie's blow hit the target in the thigh. The man grunted and fell to one knee, giving the High Elf a chance to strike again.

Llela's weak blow did little more than knock the air out of the sailor. He stumbled slightly, but didn't lose his footing, and began charging towards the Dunmer for another blow.

Alindrel's summon took the order a little too literally. It turned around and began bombarding the solid stone wall with fireballs, doing miniscule damage to the masonry. Maybe it would manage to blow a hole through within the day, but certainly not within the next few minutes.

Sinyail's spell took effect. The mental connection between him and the spell's target started settling in, and after a few seconds the sailor was completely under the Altmer's command.

Guardhouse

Psyfalia's fireball struck the man in the chest and he fell backwards. His yells of pain may have been heard by the others as he started to burn to death. "I am sorry." Psyfalia said to the man before running towards the exit. She continued to gag on the smoke and couldn't handle it any more. She reached the exit and ran out of the building. She gasped for air.

Battle of Suran Guardhouse

Sinyail gave the commanded sailor his new orders with his mind. "You see these sailors? Incapacitate them or kill them. Your choice."

Then he prepped a firebolt while he looked for a new sailor to deal with, deciding that keeping control of one sailor would be hard enough in the chaos, let alone two.

Katien's spell hit it's mark, but the calming effect of it did not work, so the sailor sadly stood there, unable to move himself.

Alindrel rolled her eyes.

"Brilliant. I got the goofy Atronach. Why's it always those?" she mumbled to herself, preparing to summon something else, when she paused.

"Perhaps they like to send the odd ones to more level-headed individuals. Like me. Or perhaps they..." she coughed on the smoke, suddenly realising she was standing with a half-charged spell in a room with fighting in it. "Oh yeah..." she said, summoning a sword in her right hand. "You just continue with that," she said to the atronach as she bounded headlong into the smoke, sword held out straight in front of her, pointy end heralding her blind run through the Guardhouse.

Niralie was reluctant to kill, had never ended a life before, but she didn't think there were many options here. The sailors were trying to do the same to Niralie and her companions, and it was probably best to make sure at least this one wouldn't get the chance. As he fell, she struck him again, this time in the neck, and then turned and stumbled through the smoke, trying to find an exit. She'd probably be a mess later, thinking about it, but right now her most pressing concern was to get herself and her new friends out of the building.

Guardhouse

Psyfalia and Aenar's effort to run out of the building was commendable, but evidently they had forgotten about the two men who had been left behind at the door. They both received a well-placed punch to the face, causing them to reel backwards and fall onto the floor. On the bright side, they were out of the two mens' sight. On the downside, they were on the floor with dozens of people fighting all around them, in danger of being stepped on.
Hidden:
@CBR: 15. There are 12 adventurers in the building, so let's assume one for each, plus the two goons at the door. Sinyail is the only one to get two in front of him.
Sinyail's minion stormed towards the two men at the door, stepping on Psyfalia's right arm in the process. The bone in her lower arm snapped with a horribly dry sound. The possessed sailor fought the other two fiercely, ignoring his own injuries, driving them out into the street. The exit was now clear. The smoke was also starting to slowly disperse.

Niralie didn't kill the man, but wounded him badly enough. He would die eventually, if left unaided, which he probably would. She left him behind, groaning in pain. Now that the sailors were gone from the door, sunlight shone through, making the exit visible to everyone. If she acted fast enough, Niralie, and anyone else, would be able to get outside with little to no problems. Provided that they disregarded the badly wounded Psyfalia who was lying on the floor.

Alindrel's sword grazed the shoulder of the sailor that Llela was fighting. The sharp edge cut through his skin and into his muscle, and though the wound was actually not that deep, it was unpexcted, causing the man to flinch in surprise. As a result, Llela's sword hit him in the head instead of the ribs. The man keeled over, blood running from his head. He was apparently still alive, as he kept twitching.

The Dunmer was about to strike with a killing blow, when she felt something very sharp sting her side. A woman's arm gently wrapped itself around her swordhand wrist, then twisted forcefully, causing Llela to scream in pain and drop her weapon. A strong leg pressed itself onto Llela's shins, while another leg pressed itself against her calves. The hand around her wrist violently pulled her arm behind her back, and the blade sticking into the Dunmer's side was a clear indicator that moving her free arm was ill advised.

"Well, well, look at the fish I caught," Gudrun's voice said right into Llela's ear. Her breath washed over the Dunmer's face. It didn't smell like anything. "Funny, I mistook you for your dearly beloved. It used to always be you who got in a pinch, and her scrambling to save you. Guess you, uh...rubbed off on each other a lot." She chuckled at her own remark. "Just as well I suppose. This is your fault anyhow. If it weren't for you, I'd already have her and everything would be just fine. So, what do you think should I do with you now that I have you?"

Llevana was slowly becoming numb under the heavy man's weight. She couldn't get enough air into her lung to cry for help, and she couldn't turn her head enough to actually see anything. All she could do was hope that someone would stumble over her.

Alindrel skid to a halt, turning to see what she had hit, summoned sword held in both hands, pointing straight ahead still. She obviously had no idea how to handle the sword.

Psyfalia let out a very loud cry of pain as her arm snapped and continued to let out a cry of pain. The pain prevented her from getting up from the floor and her cries of pain may have gone unheard by the others.

So is a broken bone something that can be cured with a healing spell/potion, or do injuries *that* bad take more time to heal?
Niralie managed to find one of the walls, and kept one hand on it in order to keep her bearings. Her light spell was nearly up, but she could see the bright daylight up ahead, and ran toward it. She was startled by a loud cry almost directly under her feet, and looked down to find that she had nearly stepped on Psyfalia. She crouched down and examined her, quickly finding the injury: a strange bend in her arm that likely indicated a break. "Is it okay if I move you?" she asked her. "It will probably hurt, but we have to get out of here."

In lore, set the broken bone right then cast spell. Give a few days/week of rest for safety.

Katien looked around, the visages about her in swirls of simple pink, no differentiation between a friendly or a hostile. She turned, trying to back out, to get out, if anyone got close to her, she'd throw a spell.. of telekinesis, to lift them up, and throw them away, or at least try.
