A few years ago something shocked me and I shouted: "By the nine!" But I think that's as far as my mind merged with oblivion.

@DerangedPickle: A day ago, an especially vinegary pickle deranged your mind into "Oblivion" and you double-posted.

I know I've been playing Oblivion too long when I start having dreams about BEING in the game...

1. I was hopelessly lost in an Ayleid Ruin while Gollum was shuffling after me muttering "Precioussss. Precioussss! YOU stole it! We KILLS nasty hobbitses!" I was creeping around as quiet as possible trying to avoid him while I tried in vain to find the way to the exit (and safety). Eventually, I ended up cornered in a dead end with Gollum's shadowy outline crouch-shuffling towards me. He whispered menacingly, "Preciousssss... What'sss it doing?" and, in panic, I tried to frighten him off by yelling "SNEAKIN!" and woke myself up!

2. I was walking through Skingrad when I had an urge to go to the toilet. I kept asking people if they knew where I could find one but they kept telling me, "Sorry. We don't have those any more in Cyrodiil. Many centuries ago, a powerful Mage invented a permanent spell that teleports the waste to another dimension." Finally, in desperation, I squatted over one of the, er, convenient but otherwise useless empty barrels. But then I heard the dreaded shout "Stop right there, criminal scum!" and woke up.

3. I love Alchemy in Oblivion, so I often go on "rambling trips" and end up with hundreds of ingredients, usually from plants. I dreamt I was an 7ft high conical pile of leaves and flowers shuffling around Cyrodiil. Enemies and animals never spotted me, allowing me to creep up close and sneak-shoot them with arrows. But friendly NPC's always spotted me and fled in panic before I could poke my head out and ask for directions. Eventually, I found myself having to stand perfectly still by the side of the road while an endless line of Imperial Soldiers rode slowly past hunting for the "monster". I felt hard-done-by because I was keeping Cyrodiil safe from Bandits, Highwaymen and Daedra, etc, but I was being hunted by the very people I was protecting!

You know you've been playing Oblivion for too long when that Breton Conjuror lass you just killed, stripped naked, and is now laying prone over a table starts looking a little too good.

Yeah if I ever get sucked into Tamriel, I'll probably turn into a necrophile. They can't say no if they're dead, and as long as they're fresh, I don't care.

You could try reviving her. But, seeing just how you tried to revive this thread, I'm not confident that will turn out very well.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

...when it permeates your dreams.

But this doesn't necessarily mean that I've played too much, because I dreamt of playing it before i owned it (where in a steam engine, and a fast food drive through (for trains) was present).

For some reason, this compells me to do this in real life from now on. Thanks for the suggestion! Because we all know using God's name in vain in a sin, but he never said anything about using other God's names in vain. :Twisted Evil:

"By grace of the Nine."

I say that too often.
