It's gonna suck for someone no matter what. What if I make it 14 hours from now? That would be 6am for Leilah, midnight for Avron, 9pm for Deandra, etc...

Avron doesn't care; she'll be in bed. ;)

It's Friday night here - so there won't be much posting. I don't think anyone will miss too much, personally. There is no need to spam between only 2 or 3 characters.

Ok, starting as soon as I can copy and paste my OP on my phone. Don't expect too many posts from me, though.

Edit: you also won't get your welcome message until I can get back to the computer that has the recording.

Something like a loud pop rang out, followed by a light tone that seemed to be played by a violin. Fourteen people awoke in a brightly lit white room. Each of them were resting on a comfortable - but not lavishly so - bed covered with white sheets, a thin white comforter and two white pillows that tried their best to mimic down but ultimately failed.

Were the new inhabitants to look around the place they would now call home they would notice that the walls, floor, and ceiling were all made of what seemed to be a high strength polymer, also white, of course. There were only three openings in the plastic shell that surrounded them: two on opposite walls with doors affixed, one that said 'MEN' and the other 'WOMEN' both leading to full bathrooms with multiple showers, toilets and sinks. The third opening was at the very top of the ceiling thirty feet above them. It looked like a small square opening with a closure made of the same material the walls consisted of.

The beds were arranged seven on one side, eight on the other, and all of the women on one side. A large white rectangular table with 15 chairs sat in the middle of the room.

The blonde woman woke up, confused. She took in her surroundings, and thought for a moment that she might still be dreaming. But her dreams were never like this... She sat up on her bed, searching for a familiar face, but finding none. "Wat gaan aan? Waar is ons? Wie is julle?" she asked, loudly.

A young blonde man woke up, just as confused. What the- how'd I get here? Last thing I remember was tending to the carnations and then.. nothing. His ears picked up the sound of the woman's confused Afrikaans. He wondered if maybe it was an accent of Dutch he hadn't heard before. "Hello, what's going on here," he answered in Dutch.
Spoiler:
No actual Dutch for you. It'd just be a Google Translate-y mess, anyway..

Spoiler:
Nooo! I demand a translated Dutch mess! Also, I'll put translations of the Afrikaans in spoilers, on the grounds of the abovementioned Google Translate mess:

I don't know how I got here. Who are you?
The woman was relieved to hear someone respond, but frowned when she realised it was Dutch. She slowed down her speech in the hopes that they could better understand each other. "Ek weet nie hoe het ek hier gekom nie. Wie is jy?" She sounded frightened.

A white man in his 30's woke up. He had black hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a blue jumpsuit with a Nasa logo on the top right of his chest and a Russian flag on top of his left sleeve. "Simmons?" said the man in a heavy Russian accent as he woke up. He looked around. "Where am I? Where is everyone else?"

The Brunette teenage boy woke up, and looked around. "What the crap? Where am I?" he put his hands to his head,as he was suddenly attacked by a major headache. When it passed, he looked up again, hearing the people speaking in some language he didn't recognize.Great. I'm stuck in a room with foreign people. he thought.

Spoiler:
This is going to be a hilarious and wonderful SIAR, just linguistically! :D
On the women's side of the room, one of the teenage girls, a long strand of sandy hair across her face, opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. It was not a familiar ceiling...and, judging by the quick dart of her eyes about the space - she did not move the rest of her body, much too startled and still numb with sleep - this was not her house and most certainly not her school. Which was funny, since she was still in her uniform: her black shoes stared back at her from the foot of the bed.

She turned her eyes about and observed the moving lips of the other people and then quickly returned them to the ceiling before she squeezed them shut, as if to wake from this horrible, and strangely familiar, nightmare.

Google Translate wrote:I don't know how I got here either.
"Ik weet niet hoe ik hier gekomen niet," he answered slowly with clear pronounciation. He sat up on his bed and observed his surroundings. What the.. did I get kidnapped and shipped away to some kind of extreme "get to learn your Dutch roots" thing? The guy who spoke with a thick Russian accent proved that this was not the case.

Spoiler:
Afrikaans looks surprising similar to English. I'm amazed at how similar Germanic languages can be.
____ woke up with a start. He glanced around his unfamiliar surroundings, trying to make sense of the situation, trying to put a cause to all this. Where am I? What is this place? He thought, as questions rattled around his brain.

The voice of the guy in the jumpsuit threw the blonde woman off completely. "Ek kan nie eintlik Engels praat nie, wat sê hy?" she asked the young Dutch guy. She got up and started to walk around the room, taking in her surroundings. "Dit lyk nie asof ons kan uitkom nie."

I can't really speak English, what's he saying?

I don't think they know why they're here either.
"Ik denk niet dat ze weten waarom ze hier zijn, hetzij," the young man replied with a concerned frown. He then switched to his mother tongue. "Does anybody know what the hell is going on?"

The blonde woman nodded as she listened to the young man. She was back at her bed now, and sat back down. "Ek is Annette," she said, introducing herself. She started chewing her nails nervously. "Ek moet by my restaurant wees, ek moet 'n aflewering ontvang." She looked hopeful. "Hulle sal sien ek is weg, miskien sal hulle my soek?"
Spoiler:
I'm Annette.

I have to be at my restaurant, I have to receive a delivery.

They'll see I'm missing, maybe they'll look for me?

Spoiler:
I'm Dayton.

Oh no, my shop!
"Ek is Dayton," he said, with a slight smile on his lips. The smile disappeared and he began to chew his right thumb at the thought of his shop. "Oh nee, mijn winkel," he said before sliding back into English. "Wendy's on vacation, and the flowers need water!"

Dayton rambled on for a while about some especially delicate specimens that would "CURL UP AND DIE" without receiving proper care after a few hours, forgetting that Annette could hardly understand a word he was saying.

The white male in his 30's slowly woke up. Once he did, he sat up, and looked around the room, examining the faces of the others. "Ugh, where the hell am i?" He asked in a tone that sounded more like he was angry than curious about his surroundings.

A very old woman's blue eyes fluttered open. Her face was slightly overweight, as was the rest of her body. She was dressed like she was going for a walk in the park, with her white pants, a pink tank top with yellow flowers, a thin white coat, completed with sunglasses and a sun hat.

The old woman took her sunglasses off and her hat. Her silver hair rounded just above the ears. She looked around the room incredulously. "I know I'm old," She said out loud, "But I'm not quite to the point where I'd forget coming here. Where... is here?" She asked no one and everyone. "Heaven?" She guessed, looking around. "Purgatory?"

Annette frowned as Dayton slipped into English. She walked over to him and stood in front of his bed, frowning. "Wat het jy gesê van jou winkel?" She was ignoring the others who were waking up for now, trying to figure out a bit more about Dayton first, since he'd clearly have to interpret for her.
