If you keep saying I am missing the point then I will continue because evidently you have to have the last word.

The statement was that I have no right to judge because I have not listened to every single screamo/metal song. I stated that there are a few songs in the metal genre that I do listen to without particularly liking, but even with songs where there is some orchestral wok that I enjoy, the screaming lyrics come in and I can't stand it.

If I liked crunkcore bands and I told you you could not judge because you have not heard every single Blood on the Dance floor and LMFAO song, would that make you change your opinion about it?

This thread is about music that you don't like. I express that I don't like screaming music. How dare I voice an opinion that does agree with the general consensus.

There are plenty of people who don't like new age classical music that much, but I am not going to create a huge argument on how they have not heard every classical song and just do not understand the genre. They just don't like it and that is that. I am quite sure I can move on with my life knowing that there are people who don't like the genre.
You like screaming music, good for you. If you understand that people can dislike things then why call people who don't like the genre horribly ignorant? To use figurative language: Some apples may be sweeter than others, there are many different kinds of apples, but they are still apples.

You started out saying that you hate anything associated with Screamo and Death Metal. Two genres. You didn't specify what you disliked about said genres, so you got backslash for generalizing. Then you said you don't like "screaming songs" which is a whole lot more specific. Now everyone understands that you dislike screamed vocals. That's a big difference, and no one would have disagreed with you had said that in the first place.

There is no redeeming quality in his music for me. Rearranging samples does not make you a masterful composer, and rhymes about ass shaking assquakes or something is just... no. Nononononononono.

And there is good music in every genre (except crunkcore and modern 'emo'). You just have to find it. Putting music in genres doesn't work for me so much because when talking general genres the mainstream idea is usually different (in a bad way) than what the real genre would be. Music always gets better when you cross genres over and put ideas together.
