How I miss that helm, it was THE helm in Morrowind. I loved the way it looked...then Oblivion turned it into some kind of weird ogre/troll/diseased animal thing.

I loved Morrowind because it had not only a ton of famous artifacts, but also artifacts of the locals such as the saint items

I wonder how many of these will show up in the files when the construction set is released. Not to say they were in the game world necessarily, but maybe they were just never implemented.

These artifacts aren't missing. Umbra was destroyed, Goldbrand is back in Cyrodiil with Mede's personal armoury, and Eltonbrand was an easter egg.

I think that is what's meant by missing They're absent from the game, and as much as possible, mc was looking for explanations like you, and others just gave. I for one, don't mind missing artifacts, so long as there is a reasonable amount of explanation, and there is balance between old and new .
