There was a time when my khajiit laughed at dragons but became meow mix for any sabre cat she stumbled into.
If they weren't nords, but instead dunmer or redguards, nobody would call them "racist".

The saber cats used to destroy me. Now I just whack them on their heads once with my mace and they die. It's awesome.

Usually in a Nordic ruin it takes a good 6-7 hits to kill a draugr scourge. One time I turned, saw one rigt close to me and I stabbed it and killed it with a finisher one hit. I was jacked but not sure if that should've happened

Use Kyne's Peace or Animal Allegiance.
I had trouble with a bunch Falmer and 2 Chaurus Reapers, decided to try out Animal Allegiance for the first time, the Reapers killed everything. [Mass Effect Spoilers D:]

Re: Absurdly Powerful Animals
I agree that having enemies way too powerful to fight, at the beginning, really develops the immersiveness of Skyrim. The feeling of sneaking up to a downed dragon between a herd of mammoths and giant shepherds and having real fear, and then running like stink when they discover you, is refreshing. It reminds me of playing Fallout 1 or 2 or the Baldur's gate games on a character with 2 strength

It's just a critical hit. I had that happen with a Dragon, too. Not the surprise part of it, but the one-hit part of it.Tesknowitall wrote:Usually in a Nordic ruin it takes a good 6-7 hits to kill a draugr scourge. I thought they could have done a better job with the chaurus, myself. They already look just like ankhegs from Baldur's Gate, except ankhegs are the size of bears or even giants. I would have liked to see that in Skyrim!

I think would lose its creepy factor, plus there's already a lot of giant monsters in this game...unless we're talking even bigger like "fills half of Blackreach" big, then we're talking

They do have a bit of a creepy factor, don't they? I'll admit, the first two times I died by them I never even knew what was killing me lol.Chaos the N'wah wrote:I think would lose its creepy factor, plus there's already a lot of giant monsters in this game...unless we're talking even bigger like "fills half of Blackreach" big, then we're talking
I'd really like some kind of humanoid, shadow-dwelling kind of creepy monster, on that note. Something dedicated to one-shotting you from the shadows Dark Souls-style.
Maybe Bethy will compromise though and introduce a few giant chaurus brood-mothers in a DLC or something, hah.

Re: Absurdly Powerful Animals
Maybe instead of making them gigantic in girth, they could make them like a proper milli/centipede, but extremely long with a lunge attack where they rear back and shoot forward.

That would be great, make me soil my pants every time I entered a Falmer cave. Ughh. Chaurus are creepy enough as it is.

Chaos mentions girth, length, lunging and "shooting", causing Eltee to mess himself....Eltee wrote:That would be great, make me soil my pants every time I entered a Falmer cave. Ughh. Chaurus are creepy enough as it is.

Sabre Cats are my least favorite, they just run and attack so fast
I was talking to a skooma dealer and a sabre cat pounced on her, but free skooma from looting the body

Maybe a dragon as big as they get in Dungeons & Dragons?Chaos the N'wah wrote:...unless we're talking even bigger like "fills half of Blackreach" big, then we're talking
Man, dovakiin would need to pull some serious Kratos attacks to take that out.
