What's all this addiction nonsense? Drinking isn't habit forming. I should know, I've been doing it for years.

I'm a heavy weight when it comes to most alcohol. Even vodka has barely any effect on me, but Tequila is my kryptonite. 3 shots and a cider or 2 and I'm good for the night.
I only drink when I go out with friends a few times a month and only drink because I'm quite shy normally, so it helps me relax.
And I didn't start drinking until I was of age.
And I barely get any hangover. The first time I drank, I had a hangover for 3 days. But ever since then, nothing.
Baileys is yummy and I like sourz.

The only time I've ever drank was when I thought a bottle of liquid was soda. I almost dropped the bottle because of the taste.

Beer, mead, whiskey it's all good stuff. You would have to be a very generalizing person to say that "alcohol" tastes awful. Alcohol is a wide term and even in apple cider there is alcohol, but a very very small amount though.

I've done that a few times.
During Diwali, i thought a flask had water in it. And i was really thirsty. So i snatched it, and upturned it into my mouth.
I spat it out, and kept rinsing my mouth of the whiskey for a while.
I saw a lightly filled glass, and i wanted to use, so, i once again emptied the contents into my mouth. It was Vodka neat.

You guys (in my opinion) are right; alcohol tastes bad. If it didn't have it's intoxicating effects I wouldn't drink it.

I've allegedly, generally speaking, tried every intoxicant short of needles. I currently only smoke and drink. Through this process of experimentation I've seen the truth behind what to watch out for. The fact is, certain people are prone to being addicted to certain intoxicants. Of the drugs you guys hear about in school, I assure you there isn't one that simply addicts everyone and ruins their lives. However, I do not condone drug use.

Is alcohol habit forming? It depends on the person. I am fairly responsible. I (generally) don't drink during the weekdays, though I will get obliterated on the weekends. This is often referred to as 'weekend warrior' or the less flattering term, binge drinker. Is it healthy? Absolutely not. My philosophy on this is a text wall though, so I'll just save it.

Tea total for 16 years, in my late teens/early 20s I had a huge problem with the demon drink was always plastered just enough not to recall anything and not enough to end up passed out in a pool of puke. I used alcohol to deal with my problems, but it never actually did just meant I able to ignore them until I sobered up so I didn't. I had no preference at the time, if it had alcohol in I would drink it, problem was it exaberated my inner [&@%!]. Don't have a problem with others drinking its your life after all, just don't come crying to me for sympathy if something goes wrong.

I love the taste of alcohol. I grew up stealing beers as a toddler and my close-knit and very large extended family are all sort of binge-drinkers (Italians) so that might have something to do with it. I view drinking as a very natural thing, and draconian anti-alcohol discourses as ignorant of human history. Gimmie a gin on the rocks with some green olives, please
