Fallout: Yosemite

[Arch-Mage Matt]

Jorey sat alone in his lab, except for his Mr. Gutsy Jets and several Robobrain assistants.

He had certainly felt the explosion, but he'd never believe that a bomb went off, until a lab assistant entered his lab timidly.

"What, Keren?" Jorey asked, focused on his project.
"I'm afraid there's been an... event, sir."

Jorey turned himself away from his project. "What 'event'?" He asked, suspicious.

Jorey burst from the lab immediately after he was told of Clark, determined to see Hamlon.

[Jake-uh]

It was obvious Yates was overly embarrassed, and relived at the same time.
"Ugh thanks, thanks so much..."
Yates the knocked out the hostage with the butt of his pistol and threw him to the ground.
"I forgot to check my gun beforehand, I didn't reload it since the last time I used it..."
Being as forgetful as he is, Yates only recognised the man's face, he has seen him around before, but he forgot his name.
"I feel even dumber then I look when I say this, but, what's your name again?"

[King Acunasti]

Lenka and his henchmen had quickly walked about half a mile away from the series of six buildings that contained their bombs, heading in the opposite direction of the crowds.

Lenka suddenly held up his hand, signaling his men to stop. "That's enough." he told the Khans. "This is far enough. Hand me the button."

One of the Khans then gently handed a small button switch to Lenka. Pressing the button would activate the bombs, successfully destroying an entire neighborhood in Bunnell. Lenka held the button high above his head. "Say goodnight." he mumbled. "Now we will witness the true power of a frightened mob."

Lenka pressed the button. The series of bombs planted within the six buildings were activated. Each of the six buildings detonated simultaneously, successfully destroying the entire surrounding neighborhood. Hundreds of men, women, and children in the nearby streets were killed during the explosion.

Mission accomplished.

Chaos flooded the streets of Bunnell. The people near the street believed that they were headed the way of Clark, and that it was all the end.

Soon after the explosion, Jorey was at the scene. Hamlon ordered against it, but Jorey soon arrived in a car, one of the many luxuries of the University, with Jets, two Robobrains and his assistant Keran.

Kelly shook his head, pulling a cigarette from the pack on his belt as he spoke to Yates.

"You wouldn't have had to reload if you didn't have the aim of a smoothskin." The comment was obviously meaningless, seeing as ghouls most likely had worse vision, and reflexes, than the average human.

"My name's Kelly. And don't worry about looking stupid. That outfit is assuring you do." Kelly lit the cigarette and placed it between his lips.

"What the hell are you doing out here? The Republic will have orders for us soon enough." Even as he spoke the words, Kelly doubted their truthfullness; the situation indoors was chaotic, and it was likely a large number of the Cavern's citizens were appalled by what had just taken place.

[King Acunasti]

Lenka shook his head with a short, quiet laugh. "Stupid, stupid people." he mumbled. He then noticed an automobile heading down the streets toward the scene of the explosion. "Car!" he called to his henchmen. "University elite! Take cover!"

The terrorists each took hiding positions behind various nearby garbage cans, Dumpsters, and crates.

[Jake-uh]

"Well Kelly, if you want any of this equiptment you can go ahead and take it." He said as he was reloading his pistol.
He then pulled out his carbine and stabbed the unconsious Khan in the heart with the bayonette on the end, killing him in seconds.
Blood spattered out of the mans mouth, and Yates treated it like it was a regular thing, killing someone like so.
Ignoring the rude comments from Kelly he exclaimed.
"Well to be honest Kelly, with all of this sh*t going on, I think the republic will just go downhill from here."
He said while checking to make sure his carbine was fully reloaded.
"I'm considering the idea of leaving the republic, with that bomb going off i'm sure well will be one of the first to be attacked.
In my opinion, it would be best to stay away from the them, I'm not exactly sure where i'm going yet, but I am defiantly leaving here.
Besides, i'm really tired of my job, killing ferals gets really boring."
Yates then started to walk off as he put his carbine on his back again.
He then turned back to look at Kelly.
"Do you want to come along? I mean you can always stay here, and try to calm everyone down."

[Arch-Mage Matt]

"Okay, fan out. Reports say this was a detonated charge, they're around here somewhere." Jorey ordered. "Before the Securitrons get here." He added.

Keren nodded. "Yessir."
Keren was a small man, in his late teens. He could probably be called an intern rather than an assistant, but he was the best who applied, and Jorey could tell scientific talent. Keren has long, blown back red hair and large glasses. He wore a pristine white lab coat and carried a small laser pistol.

One of the Robobrains wandered off near where Lenka and the Khans were hiding. It was getting a bit too close for comfort.

One of the Khans began to raise his weapon. Lenka quickly shot him a glance and shook his head. The Khan stopped, but remained at the ready. They were quiet. If the Robobrain were to find any of them, they would open fire. But Lenka wanted to try and remain undetected.

[Arch-Mage Matt]

Before the Robobrain found the Khans, Jorey called "Hey, Robobrains!" It started to wheel off towards Jorey, but before the Khans could breathe a sigh of relief, Jorey ordered: "Turn on your heat sensors!" Jorey finished. The Robobrain spun around, and spotted the Khans and Lenka hiding. It's alarms started to go off loudly.

Without one single word, Lenka and the Khans stood and relentlessly unleashed their ammo upon the Robobrain and the others near the car. They each could be considered professional terrorists. Lenka had spent the past month training them for situations like this.

[Leyyuce]

Kelly stood silently for several seconds, staring at the bare ground, seriously contemplating the idea of walking away from the cavern for good. Part of him argued that this masterstroke by the Republic might be the beginning of a very powerful period for the group - another part felt that the women and children killed in the blast hadn't deserved to perish in such a fashion.

"Yeah, I guess I'll go with you." Kelly figured that he could return whenever he wished, as he was often gone for several days or longer when scavenging for technology. He quickly searched the dead Khans, looting a few caps and a bottle of water.

"I've got to grab a few things from inside, though. Go on, I'll catch up in a little while." Kelly turned and jogged back into the cavern.

[Arch-Mage Matt]

Two civilians near the car, thinking about stealing it, most likely, were killed instantly. The other Robobrain was shot down as well. Jets's armor was damaged but he managed to not get damaged. "Get down, sir!" Jets yelled and tackled Jorey to the ground with superhuman reflexes.

Keran, on the side, went unnoticed by the Khans. He got out his Laser Pistol and shot a Khan in the neck, and he disintegrated. Being too nervous to shoot again, Keran jumped behind a postbox.

Right before Kelly could enter the Cavern, he was knocked aside by a barrage of Ghoul guards, protecting someone in the middle. It must have been Patterson, fleeing the now unwelcome Republic.

[Jake-uh]

Yates smiled, happy to have a fellow ghoul with him, and a skilled one too.
He then realized he forgot to grab ammo from his quarters, laughing at himself, he started on his way back inside too.
He was then distracted by all of the guards that were in such a large group, he tried to avoid getting noticed by them.

"MAN DOWN!" one of the Khans shouted. "MAN DOWN!"

"GO!!!" Lenka roared. "GO!!! GO!!!"

The three terrorists made their way into the street, unleashing extremely heavy fire upon their enemies in order to keep them from getting their hands on any offensive oppurtunities. The car was practically destroyed by the screaming bullets. Eventually, they were able to reach a food stand and a series of Dumpsters on the other side of the street for cover. They took a moment or two to reload and then continued unleashing heavy fire on their enemies.

From below the car, Jorey's voice was heard. "Wait. You don't want to do this! Surrender now, or else the Securitrons and Sentry Bots will be here. If you're shooting while they arrive, they will kill you. They don't care about personal safety."

[Jake-uh]

Once all of the guards were out of the way, Yates then jogged towards his quarters.
Feeling very realived they didn't notice him.

[King Acunasti]

Just as Jorey finished his sentence, the gunfire stopped completely. Everything went silent (aside from the screaming of nearby civilians). It was scary.

Suddenly, a small metal object flew high into the air, landing near the car. It was a smoke grenade. The grenade began spewing massive amounts of smoke that surrounded the entire region.

Lenka and his remaining henchmen turned to the opposite direction and sprinted towards the fleeing civilians while the smoke still blocked their enemies' vision. They quickly disappeared into the crowd.

[MARS]

Mars was in a hurry. Patterson going feral promised nothing good and Mars didn't like dangerous situations. As he was jogging out of the Caverns with his most treasured belongings carelessly stuffed into a bag he bumped into Yates.

[Leyyuce]

Kelly had quickly retrieved a few items, mainly supplies such as ammunition and water, and now met up with Yates near the Cavern's exit. He immediately noticed Mars moving outward in a similar fashion to themselves; Kelly had worked with him on previous occasions, and believed a skilled scout could aid himself and Yates tremendously. Kelly grabbed Mars' shoulder to keep him from moving any further, turning him around so that they could speak.

"Mars, Mars, Mars! You've got to come with me and Yates," he pointed to the ghoul who he referenced, "You know that it's not safe out there alone."

[Jake-uh]

Yates didn't know much about Mars, except for his good skills as a scout, and that he seems like a guy he could trust to be traveling with. "Kelly is right." Yates exclaimed, while looking around rather nervously, they needed to get away from here, and he was pretty sure that they all knew that.
"Come, travel with us. With the bomb going off and all, the republic isn't exactly a safe place for well, anyone." He then made sure his pockets were stuffed well with ammo and water, things that he needed, and they were.

[MARS]

Mars gladly accepted this twist of fate.
"Sure I'll come with you." he said. "Let's not loose any more time. I have a feeling that something very bad is about to happen."

[Leyyuce]

"Where are we headed?" Kelly asked bluntly, taking a short drag from his cigarette.

[MARS]

"To be honest...I have no freaking idea." Mars replied and started chewing his tongue.
