Breton with Mage birthsign. I just love the extra magic points.

Nords are, overall, my favorite race in the three last ES games. They are decently powerful too, with their resistance to frost, and in Oblivion their racial powers are quite powerful.

Orc.
Because it's underrated most of the time, when actually there's more to it than primitive tribe-life of smashing skulls.
I also LOVE how their armour and their pride-centered culture resembles the Japanese Samurais.

Breton, mainly because I can make it look like me, to immerse myself further into the game. I have to say though, I'd be worried if I could make an Orc or Dunmer look like me, but I haven't actually tried yet...
Re: What is your favorite race?
Oblivion is my first Elder Scrolls game, and I'm still on my first character. Beyond late to the party, I know, but my poor little laptop can't run Skyrim.
I picked a dunmer for my first character because they're pretty good at everything - the idea was to play for a while and see how my play style develops. Then I can create a more specialized character. Based on this I'm thinking of starting a Breton spellsword or witchhunter next.
Of course, my dunmer is turning into a "do everything I can" character, so I may have to grab a copy of Morrowind to play that Breton. I don't usually replay games.

Altmer, because I like elves and Bretons are too "meh" for me.

I like Bretons and Dark Elves, but the former beats the latter slightly. (Wow, I know; the top two. I'm original.) I also love Nords.

Redguard. My first character I created was a redguard, and then, after thousands of hours of playing the game, it was a redguard I created to finally complete the main quest.
Whenever you cross swords with an enemy you must not think of cutting him either strongly or weakly; just think of cutting and killing him. - Miyamoto Musashi
