At the Elder Stats website's UCP, you want to go to the Stat Card listings under character managements. Add it to your sig via the BB code.

Re: Post Your Character
Here's my new character, I just got him out of the prison. I plan to do some Roleplaying with him, since I've never really used an archer before; most of my characters are well rounded in all of the stats, which makes for an unrealistic roleplay.
Andreth Varok
Male Dunmer, Lvl 1
Birthsign: The Thief
Class: Ranger
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Endurance, Luck
Major Skills:
Acrobatics
Blade
Speechcraft
Sneak
Security
Marksman
Light Armor
Top 5 Best Trained Skills:
Light Armor
Marksman
Blade
Sneak
Acrobatics
Favorite Guilds:
None as of yet.
Prefered Equipment and tactics:
Leather armor, rusty iron bow, iron arrows. Andreth perfers to sneak from a distance and poison an arrow, before loosing it into the head of his prey. If he is seen first, he will backstep quickly with a flurry of arrows, and if he runs low, he will switch to his blade and cut at his enemies. Relies on Magic skills only to heal himself and use illusion spells.
Bio:
(Sort of long, and done in a story-writing style — sort of —, since I love writing stories.)
Andreth was born into a noble family in the province of Vvardenfell, and trained archery from a young age. However, his father was an Imperial officer, who was called to serve the Emperor in Cyrodiil. His mother, refusing to stay alone, begged her husband to take her with him. Knowing that his trip and stay would be very dangerous, he forbade her to come. Angry, she followed her husband in the night. She had made it into Cyrodiil with her son, but she was shot down by bandits and robbed. Andreth hid among the bushes, forced to watch the scene in vivid detail, and when the bandits were gone, he knelt beside his mother, and swore revenge.
Andreth, being a sufficient hunter, was able to survive for a long while. He eventually made his way to a town of Cheydinhal, where his father had apparently stayed. The man who ran the local inn had told him that they left town a week ago, and pointed him in the right direction.
Upon arriving finally in the Imperial City, Andreth went to the barracks and asked about his father. He learned swiftly that his father had perished two days ago, leading an assault on a small fortress held by a group of Imperial Legion officers who had changed allegiances.
Andreth spent another ten years in the Imperial City, and he continued to train in archery and with the blade. And then, one day, while he was in town buying some bread, he saw a face that was unforgettable to him; the face of one of the bandits who had attacked them so many years ago. In a fit of rage, he drew his dagger, and slit the throat of the man in broad daylight. Moments later, as the guards rushed towards him, he looked up and saw that the man was not alone. With him at the time were his wife and daughter. He looked down upon the body of the slain ex-bandit, and saw only an old and happy face, covered in blood.
Wishing now only his own death, Andreth turned his dagger and plunged it into his heart — or so he would have done, if at that time two Imperial Guards had not grabbed him by the arms and dragged him off to a prison cell.
Andreth sat in that prison for who knows how long, haunted by what he had done. He did not argue with the guards, did not try to say what he did was done in justice. He was strong. He survived his time, and then, eventually, the Emperor happened upon him.
He swore loyalty to the Emperor, and, in atonement for his evil deed, would serve him as best he could.
Well, there's my character! Maybe I'll post some pictures. I might build him a cabin later on, not sure. Probably wouldn't be worth the time to me, since my favourite places are large, grand fortresses.

Re: Post Your Character
I've banned myself from the game for the time being, when it isn't overly familiar I will pick it up again - I already have a few ideas in mind though.
One idea is based around the Priest of Order robe - if I stick to that as my default uniform it just looks the part for a mage that specialises in Frost or Shock spells (maybe even custom spells of both), weapons can include Chillrend or Order swords/staves.
The latest play through was with a Viking style custom class but I wasn't entirely happy with it, so I may have another go with that character but sticking to Iron, Fur and Chainmail armour this time - even when better armour is available, this guy will be a blunt specialist favouring single handed axes (again only iron or steel).
The last idea I got from the Necromancer thread, an Orc Shaman - a Mage/Hunter character of sorts that lives off the land and worships ancient or pagan gods, he would wear hunter clothing and fur amour pieces and maybe stick to a Goblin totem as his default weapon of choice - skills would include Alchemy (for brewing potions for visions), Conjuration (summon ancient spirits or demigods), Marksman (As most tribal men are hunters), sneak (to aid Marksman) - not too sure about others.
I've never really been one for role-playing in Oblivion, but I do like to make coherent and realistic characters.

Re: Post Your Character
My current char:
Name: Ben Dead-Tongue
Race: Nord
Birthsign: Mage
Class: Adventurer(custom, obviously)
Major Skills: Blunt, Armorer, Heavy Armor, Conjuration, Restoration, Illusion, Block
Current Level: 11
Bio: He gained his name at a very young age for the unique and disturbing talent of being able to speak with the dead, even to the point of being able to summon a weak spectre to speak with. Most people in his home of Skyrim tended to stay away from him, leading him to be fairly bitter and a bit jaded. When he was old enough to strike out on his own, he did so, casting his fortune to the wind and setting sail on an ocean-going vessel. However, during a particularly harsh storm, the superstitious crew blamed his "ability" on the bad run of luck they were in, and at the next port, tossed him off the ship. He ended up in Cyrodiil, in Colovia, but it didn't work out too well. Being suspicious of a man with no traveling papers just walking out of the wilderness one day, he was taken into custody pending a more detailed investigation. It was at this time that fate wove him into the life of Uriel Septim VII, who proceeded to croak, but not before resting the entire fate of Tamriel squarely on Ben's shoulders. Lovely. But for all his hardships, he's a fairly thick-skinned individual, and a more-or-less upstanding citizen, so he does his best to help where he can, and avoid breaking the law, but treasure and power are still at the front of his thoughts, and who knows if he'll stay a straight arrow for too long...
So far I've done about a third of the Fighter's Guild quests, a little more than half the Mages Guild quests, and am a few quests into the main quest. In addition, I've knocked off a bunch of side quests, including all the Daedric quests up until now, and have done the first couple of quests for SI's Main Questline. I'm actually getting a bit tired of lugging around a HEAVY suit of metal by now, and am considering switching off onto a new character for a while, but for now, I'm keeping him going.

Re: Post Your Character
Hi guys, I've been lurkin around this forum for the past month or so, since I bought myself Oblivion for Christmas. I thought it would be cool to share my favorite character with you guys, so here it is.
Hidalgor
Male Redguard, Level 3
Birthsign: The Warrior
Class: Raider
Stealth Specialist
Favored Attributes: Strength, Agility
Major Skills:
Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Restoration, Light Armor, Marksman, Sneak
Top 5 Skills
Athletics, Blade, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Sneak
Guilds: Thieves' Guild, Fighters' Guild,
Favored Equipment and Tactics:
Short and long blades, bows. A mixture of light and heavy armor.
Surprise attacks; sniping, sneak attack and high survivability in toe-to-toe combat from restoration, alteration, armors, and high blade damage.
Bio:
Hidalgor the Redguard hails from Elinhir, in the Imperial province of Hammerfell. He is a hardy and good natured man, who enjoys a pint, and pipe, and a good joke just as much as the rush of battle. He is a man of his word, and takes his duties seriously. He is fiercely loyal to the Empire and his kinsmen.
Being that he and his kin are Forebearers, descendants of the Ra'Gada, Hidalgor is a skilled and fearless raider. As with all Redguard men, Hidalgor was rigorously trained in the combat arts, especially the use of blades and light armor. He joined the Imperial Legion and served as a scout, where he recieved basic legionnaire's training, and stealth tactics training, and advanced training in marksmanship. He served for three years, until he was gravely injured. He was sent to the Great Chapel of Ar'kay to be healed. During his months of recovery, Hidalgor learned the magicks of restoration and alteration from the priests of Ar'kay.
After fully recovering, the Redguard spent many years treasure hunting across Hammerfell, under contract to uncover ancient Yokudan artifacts for private scholars. It was during these years that he was traveling the Road to Sentinel, and was that day attacked by a prominent Sentinel merchant, who had gone mad in a wretched skooma daze. Hidalgor was forced to kill him. Being a riteous man, he sought out the man's wife to apologize for the tragedy that had befallen her husband, even though the man had forced his hand. The poor woman, in a fit of grief and rage, had Hidalgor arrested on the accusation of unprovoked murder. He was convicted for the lack of a witness to defend him, and was sent to the Imperial City Prison.
During his imprisonment a certain event would transpire, involving the crestfallen warrior and the ruler of the civilized world. Destiny would lead the Emperor Uriel Septim down a path that began with the deaths of his sons, and passed through the Redguard's cell, as prophesied by the Emperor's dreams. This fated meeting would set in motion a series of events that would shape the future of Tamriel...

Re: Post Your Character
Okay, there's no shame in revealing my one-day-old character if everyone's doing it.
Disclaimer: For some reason I keep on changing characters once they start getting somewhere, so I'm now roleplaying 'le gasp'!
My chars name is Aldernith (Alder for short), a mystic elf who got transported from the Aedric realm of Kynareth for countless crimes he didn't know he was commiting
. In Cyrodiil Alder became a bandit-to-bandits because bandits were the first humans Alder saw, he thought everyone lives in caves and those who don't are bandits/outsiders. Alder also thinks being a bandit won't get him in trouble, so he kills and steals from the "normal people" (the REAL bandits) and doesn't tell any fellow "bandits" about it. He declined the offer to go back to Kynareth's realm for fear that she/he might have just made up a better way to punish him.
Birthsign: The Warrior
Class: "Bandit"
Attributes: strength, speed.
Major Skills:
Light armor: I like running fast, but not getting chopped to bits while doing it.
Blade: I dont like hammers or axes, but I do need a weapon.
Block: Well, if I can't dodge an attack, what else would I do?
Athletics: I said I like running fast. Enough said.
Acrobatics: I love the "ninja" feeling of jumping from house to house, besides, it gives access to great vantage points.
Mercantile: I hate the low prices that merchants buy stuff for, so I decieded to highten them
Speechcraft: All a part of bartering. Enough said. Again.
By the way, I like your character, Dark Spark!
'Tis all

Name : Rallos
Gender : Male
Race : Dunmer
Birthsign : The Atronach
Class : Hunter
Specialization : combat
Attributes : Strength, Speed
Major Skills : Blade, Marksman, Illusion, Mysticism, Sneak, Athletics, Acrobatics.
I wanted this character to be the ultimate predator. Marksman is my main Offensive skill, using blade only in close quarters or when my prey gets to close. Illusion for Silence and Paralyze, also Invisibility is nice too. Mysticism is a all too overlooked skill, with Soul Trap, Detect Life, and Spell Absorbtion. Sneak is nice for those 3X stealth arrow kills, and Athletics and Acrobatics because I want him to be able to get up close when he needs to, cause massive damage, and get back out quickly. I am also training my Alchemy up, its such an easy skill to level I didnt include it in Major Skills. the downside to this character is that since he has no armor, he takes an extra amount of damage, making drawn out battles difficult.

Very long time (until about 40+ level) I haven't done almost any quest, only training. Now I play "normally" and have completed 77 quests already. It is first time I play Oblivion, I was thinking very long while creating the character and it took a few attepts. I played Morrowind very long time. I thought it would be all-in-one character like in Morrowind: warrior, mage and thief.

Re: Post Your Character
It's simple. All you do is put all magic schools as your primary skills and level them up by an ayleid well and don't sleep to level up. That's what I did. I had 5 out of 7 schools at 100 and I was still level 1. This is one way to bypass the "level cap".Hex Link wrote:I could NEVER do that myselfHerbivorous wrote:Very long time (until about 40+ level) I haven't done almost any quest, only training.

Lysandros
Dunmer Pwnzorz
All his current stats are in my signature.
Lysandros? Its an ancient Greek name that means liberator. Lysis means "free" and Andros means "man". Basically its free man or man freer, or just liberator.
I have better stuff than Mithril, but Mithril looks the best.

Re: Post Your Character
Arien, Imperial Ranger (custom class) Level 19
Combat
Sign of the Warrior
Major Skills:
Blade
Heavy Armor
Marksman
Security
Sneak
Forgot others
Born and raised on the streets of the Imperial City, Arien's parents where executed when falsely accused of murdering a Watch soldier. Left for dead on the streets, Arien made a living off burglary and assassination but was caught one day when attempting to assasinate the gray prince cuz he just hated him for no particular reason. He was sent to the Imperial Prison but escaped when the Emperor Uriel Septim was escorted by the Blades. Arien followed the Blades and found himself caught in a whole mess about the emperor's long lost son. He didn't care much about this so he went off exploring and eventually joined the Arena and took a dumb quest. Alas, though he showed the gray prince who he really is. He killed the gray prince in the match to become the Grand Champion of the Arena. The kill was observed by the Night Mother, and Lucien Lachance gave Arien a visit that night. Arien accepted Lucien's offer to join the Dark Brotherhood and Arien rose to the rank of Listener before he knew it. Arien decided he should go save Cyrodil from Oblivion so he closed some gates, did a couple of retarded fetch quests for Martin Septim and became the Champion of Cyrodil and got his crappy but cool looking Dragon armor. Arien lived out the rest of his days quietly at Rosethorn Hall until he made a desperate jump off Dive Rock to kill his arch enemy, Adoring (Annoying) Fan

Re: Post Your Character
Pretty impressive
A rather off-topic question: how do you get the camera to view your character from the front? Do you have to press a certain key, like in Fable, or is there a mod or something? 'Cos in the game - not counting when you open the inventory - you can usually view your character from the back only.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?
You'd rather run when you can't crawl...

Re: Post Your Character
Im not sure but I thought that if you just let it sit there the camera will slowly rotate around your character. not sure though.
Three rings for the Elven-Kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-Lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men Doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows Lie.
