So I finally got what Minecraft was. I played it with my cousin. In the time I built a multi-colored small tower and a homey building, he constructed a hugely complicated skyscraper and an underground cavern.

Well I haven't posted in here for a while, seeing as I'm not playing Minecraft until:

A) 1.8 is out
B) Better Than Wolves mod is updated for 1.8

But I finally got around to uploading a video of something I recorded ages ago, so I might as well post that as its my second favourite creation, and its cylindrical.

I built a tower (I'm using classic mode for infinite stuff, just to get experience) and it was pretty cool, it had multiple floors and a nice garden(ish) roof. Then I got sad when I dug down to build an underground cavern and found out I built it on top of an underwater cave.

As in installation or actually finding the things? If its the latter most of them are on the Minecraft Forums http://www.minecraftforum.net/
but if its the former then it depends on the mod. Some of the more developed ones may have self installers but many require other mods to function and installation requires physically copying the mod files into the minecraft.jar.

Then again most mod threads on the official forums have an installation guide and usually a helpful video. Just make sure that before installing a mod back up your worlds. I have had too many bad experiences with otherwise brilliant mods due to my own ineptness at backing up saves. I suppose that's just what happens with a game with no official modding support, yet.
