"Everyone, calm down." Llela said, mildly amused. "There isn't any indication that we're dealing with a Necromancer here."

Intrigued by the talk of magic, Aenar added in. "Is there any place that you would recomend to a beginner?" he asked.

"The Mage's Guild. As long as you have the apitude for it, we will accept you and if you want, i can train you in Destruction and Restoration if you have the septims." Psyfalia said to Aenar. "Or speak to one of the guild halls leaders here in Morrowind. Personally, i would reccomend joining the Cyrodiil chapter of the Mage's Guild. I'm an offical member of the guild." She said to Aenar. Her tone was full of pride when she mentioned she was an offical member of the guild.

Didn't know that. I'll keep it in mind, even if it does look a bit untidy to my eyes. Personally I make the distinction between thought and speech with additional describing text myself...
Sinyail responded to Aenar. "There's three main places worthy of note - the Mage's Guild of the Empire, House Telvanni, and my homeland of Alinor, which values the magical arts higher than almost anything, a place where mages are as princes. I'd recommend the Mages Guild, as it's much closer to here than the Summerset Isles. It is perhaps a little less versed in the arcane than the Isles, but that isn't so important to a beginner, and is more due to the shorter lifespans of those present than any failings in the teaching provided."

"Good point but i've heard that magical organsations in the Summerset isles are more restrictive about who joins if you are not an Altmer. Your best bet is the Mage's Guild. You may have to do a test but that's just to find out if you have magic or not but most guild halls don't bother with a test. Even if you don't possess magic, you can study Alchemcy and Enchanting or help the guild in other non-magical duties." Psyfalia told Aenar and Sinyail.

I'm assuming that not everyone has magic in Mar's Tamriel and i think the Mage's Guild would test new members to ensure that they have only mages in their guild. I edited out the test bits as CBR made me aware of the no entry requirements untill Tavern became the Arch-mage

Not at this time, it's mentioned in Oblivion that bringing in entry requirements was a recent thing done by the Arch mage Hannibal Traven. Also Alinor at this time is the name of the Capital City of the Isles, not the Isles themselves. That's something the Aldmeri Dominion as seen in Skyrim changed.
Sinyail responded.

"Yes, and that's assuming you are even allowed onto the Isles, as humans are generally only allowed on the ports as traders. Some noteworthy people have arisen to nobility there, so it's possible, but unlikely."

"Sure." Aenar nodded to Fornar. "I can use magic, but I don't really know that much. Just one spell, actually." he said with a chuckle to the two altmer.

"You should enlist at the Cheydinhall Guildhall. I'm based there and can be of great help. I can travel with you back to Cyrodiil if you want and tell you more about the Guild." Psyfalia said to Fornar whilst showing both Aenar and Fornar her Mage's Guild ring which was on her right ring finger. She was showing it in an non-offensive manner. It was gold with the insingia of the guild imprinted on it. Psyfalia had taken excellent care of her ring and was rarely seen without it. "I can help you learn more spells but ideally, any magical learning should take place inside a Mage's Guild Guildhall to reduce the risk of something going wrong." She said to Aenar before chuckling. She had remebered an incident that happened back in Cheydinhall a few months ago.

Sinyail smiled. "If that one spell is all you need then it's good enough. A good restore health spell after all could easily save your life sometime, and that's one spell. Personally I know many spells from the 6 main schools of magic, and have a working knowledge in those schools that are no longer practiced in the main, but then magic runs in the blood of altmer."

"The Cheydinhall Hall is very nice." Valentia replied with a smile. "I was in the guild since I was young. Perhaps we've met before, Psyfalia. I lived in Anvil and spent most of my time in the Mage's Guild there. I did live in the one at the Imperial City for a while, though."

"Well said. I specialise in Restoration and Destruction. I also possess the basic knowledge of the other schools. But we Altmer are also vunerable to magic." Psyfalia said to Aenar, Fornar and Sinyail whilst smiling at them before withdrawing her ring finger from them. "But there is magic that is even lost to the Summerset Isles. Prehaps for a good reason, prehaps not." She added afterwards. "You are welcome. When we have the time, I will test you just to get an idea of what your strengths are." Psyfalia turned to Valentia and said "Prehaps. I've only been there for 5 years. I studied at the Arcane University for 10 years before i became the hall's Restoration Trainer. It is very nice and everyone is kind." With a gentle smile.

Gaenidil rolled his eyes at the Altmer, always so haughty, though he supposed it couldn't be helped. I should probably keep an eye on this one, you never know... the wood elf thought to himself. Come to think of it, this band of adventurers seemed to be a big group of eccentrics, it would be interesting to see how they handle some trolls or ogres.

Niralie had been following a little behind, feeling a little awkward as the newcomer, but the talk of magic intrigued her. She jogged ahead to join in the discussion. "I just came from the Arcane University, actually. I've been studying there for a few years." To Psyfalia she added, "I believe I remember seeing you. You left not long after I joined, I think."

Valentia smiled. "I was at the University before I left from Morrowind, actually!" she said to Niralie, glad she had found others in her situation.

"I left 5 years ago but i think i did speak to you a few times during my last year there. I was often engaged in a book and had the tendecy to bump into people. I was sent to Cheydinhall to fulfil the position of Restoration Trainer and have taught many people. But I think i did teach Valentia the basic healing spells." Psyfalia said to both Niralie and Valentia. "If you don't mind me asking, what were you studying at the University?" She asked Niralie whilst smiling at her.

"Destruction and Restoration, mostly," Niralie replied. "I've done some enchanting, too. The reason I'm able to travel is because I saved up money from selling things I enchanted." She grinned. "What are the odds that three of us from the University would run into each other all the way out here in Morrowind?"

Suran, docks

Per's legs trembled as he finally walked on solid ground, taking his first steps in Morrowind. He'd never been within these borders before, and looked curiously around at the strange Dunmer architecture. Maybe they're selling some'o that Sujamma that Darky back in Cheydinhal offered me, he wondered to himself. A stiff drink would definitely be most welcome.

Although their conversation had been cut short by the ship's precarious docking, he now believed Arellius to fully trust him. In fact, he felt like something of a master manipulator, having fooled the plan out of the Imperial.

For now, the big Nord kept in the rear of the group, following Gudrun's lead into town.

Arellius Afer III - Docks, Suran

Arellius hadn't waited on an answer from Per, leaving the Nord on his own, and trudging stoically off the ship and towards Gudrun.

He didn't speak, preferring to remain silent and sneering ominously at any individual who made the mistake of approaching the group, still pondering over what he was to do with the Nord. Killing him would probably be the easiest course of action to take - slit his throat as soon as they left Suran, Gudrun would never find out - but it would also be the least satisfying. Better to leave him alive, he had eventually decided. He had plans for Per anyway. Big plans. Plans that wouldn't work if Per was dead. The Nord would be needed in the future - kill him too early and everything became an awful lot harder.

The sneer relaxed a moment replaced with a devilish grin. In a month he'd be resting on some beach by Anvil. Three - no four [&@%!] to attend to his needs and enough gold to set him up for life. The first parts of his master plan were already starting to slide into place.
