Darn.

Anyway, I haven't played the game for months... I'm stuck on the damn Kimono Girls. I get to Jolteon, and my team is raped. Recently, I've been training a Phanphy (Ground-type) up, so I can pwn that damn Jolteon, but it takes too damn long. Any tips?
Which game is this, and what's the rest of your team?

Get a Swinub. You can evolve it into the really powerful Ice/Ground-type Mamoswine. In fact, that's how I beat Clair and Lance.

Okay then. I'll first level my Phanpy up to level something, then powerlevel a AncientPower-bred Swinub.

You don't need to breed AncientPower to Swinub to evolve it, since you can just go to the move relearner with a Piloswine. Getting a heart scale is much easier than trying to mess with egg moves in my opinion.

In my opinion, the stamina course is the easiest. Just get three Pokémon with high physical stats. I used my Typhlosion, Poliwrath, and Piloswine.

Alternatively, if you wait one week, I could trade you one.

I'm stuck on the Elite Four on the Crystal version. I made the mistake of mostly training my first Pokémon (Totodile, now Feraligatr), so he's level 52, while all my others are below 40. :(
I'm trying to level up my Haunter and Machoke. It's going slow, though.

I did exactly that on my first few playthroughs. Concentrating on one Pokemon is a major mistako. All newbs, you have been warned.

I got to Fighting-Type Gym using only Kangashkan, Doduo and Cyndaquil.
A good tip is to only use three pokémon, until the last few gyms/elite four.

On Platinum, I didn't have much grinding to do when I played through it the first time, and I had a team of four.

On Ruby I just used Swampert and Camerupt for most of it and Armaldo for last bit.
I added Beldum post-Elite Four, but never played enough to properly use him.

You really should have trained Beldum. Metagross owns.

My system has'nt really changed since my first playthrough on Blue. Get a full Team pokemon, and that's it, i train them for the elite four. they're preset, to have different types and attacks, i get them as i run into them. by the time i reach the elite four, they're usually 50+.
I'm not arrogant. I'm insecure.

After many years I found my Pokémon Gold laying behind some books in my shelf! I'm gonna play some right now! :D
Sometimes I wish I would've picked Pokémon Silver instead. Lugia is so much more awesome than Ho-Oh.

Or you could have gone for Pokemon Crystal and got the best of both worlds.

Been Playing Emerald on a GBA emulator. Currently have a lvl. 16 Grovyle, lvl. 10 Ralts, lvl. 10 Lotad and a lvl. 9 Tailow. I've been soaking up the nostalgia.

EDIT: Make that a lvl. 10 Taillow!

Tailow's pretty cool, as is Swallow. I never really liked Ralts or Lotad, but Ralt's evolutions and Ludicullo are awesome.
