"You try to kill people for no reason and then wonder why your kind is hunted down?" yelled Hastur to Aura. "You people amaze me." he muttered.

ooh, shouting. Fight? No? Damn. James thought.

Guards approached Hustar and Luce, some also approached Aura.

[Justice knight]

"I think you should relax boy," Umbra said putting a talon on Hastur's shoulder, "Lucifer can handle himself."
Lucifer straightened up and dusted himself off.

Aura took out her harp. It was worthless trying to argue with an ignorant hypocrite. She began to play a lower sweet tune before begining to Sing to these two battle-happy fight-looking idiots. The Melody was beautiful, soft and soothing. One could become lost in it. 'The Calming Song' As some would call it. To make those around you calm to the point they could become somewhat slaves to the music to the voice.

She sang the words, 'Go away, leave me' in part of these lyrics which was moreso a command than a verse but fit the song quite nicely.

The guards were unaffected. "Lady Aura." One said respectfully. "May I trouble you to stop that. What is the cause of this distrubance?"

urgh. More music. Just what I wanted. I'm outta here.. James briskly walked off, away from the commotion, and out of the building.

Lucifer just marched up to a Kern and began speaking to her before demanding that another get him a drink- I doubt some guards will worry him.

Lucifer didn't know why but he had the sudden urge to leave Aura alone.
"Hmm powerful magic that is," Umbra said, uneffected by the song.

"These disrespectful individuals. They barged into our private balconies, fighting amongst themselves and interrupting our Queen's Speech in the process. This one," She pointed to Luce, "Treated a fellow Kern like a servant." She was rather angry but did her best to maintain her composure.

[Justice knight]

"He wasn't a fellow to me," Lucifer shrugged, "Besides you seemed quite annoyed with him, so I gave you some... variety."
Umbra stifled a chuckle.

[SpeedSpectrum]

Was standing at the back of the group the entire time, slightly distracted. He rocked slightly back and forth while humming a tune.

Steve was glad that the blue-haired person had stopped playing. Ugh! Whoever told her she could play and sing did her a disservice. Only Memies should ever be allowed to touch musical instruments!

Hastur decided to tell the guards the truth. "Gentlemen. I apologise for any inconvience. I bumped into this Baba's demon by accident." said Hastur pointing at Lucifer. "I don't know what her problem was. I think the Baba may have annoyed her somehow. Anyway then she tried to kill us both."

Lucifer curled his lips into a smirk.
Honesty? He isn't going to last long...

'An elbow to the chest, an equivelent of a slap to the face they consider to be trying to murder them then they desperatly need to grow a pair.' A tiny part of her, a really small part felt bad for the demons in having to deal with these wussies.

Umbra decided to speak out.
"This boy bumped into me, while Lucifer was trying -in vain- to chat up this Kern," It rumbled, "I would not call her attempt at trying to force him to the ground a murder attempt however."

[Kerr]

"Now personally I think this has gone far enough. It is clear that the Baba has angered the woman somehow but I sugest we try to put all this behind us." said Hastur. He walked over to Aura. "I'm sorry for any grievance I may have caused you. What do you say, Truce?" asked Hastur holding his hand out.

[Justice knight]

Lucifer chuckled.
Oh he doesn't have a clue does he?
Umbra shrugged before pushing Lucifer slightly towards Aura.
"Oh right," Lucifer said, "Yes my apologies, will not happen again."

James was still thinking about how the hunters would attack the city

as he walked home. they would start by sowing political confusion, if they're smart. Maybe assassinate the queen and princess to cause a power struggle? I need to get an escape plan going, because if they remained so well hidden for so long, we may not last long...hmmm...

"Your demon is at least respectful" Aura stated simply at Luce. To Hastur she disgustedly said, "You just tried to brand me an attemptive Murderer after stating how stuck up the Kern's are and you expect me to shake your hand and call a truce? No I think you will need to earn my trust after that little escapade of yours."

In the back of her mind she wondered why the guards weren't affected by her song. In any case she gave a slight disdain for the commotion.

[Justice knight]

"Thank you," Umbra rumbled.
"You said that getting women to like you can be difficult Lucifer."
"Oh shuddup Umbra," Lucifer muttered.

From what I gleaned this is just a holding area for us to do some character development. Shadow said the real quest stuff doesn't start until the weekend.

Steve looked longingly at Lucy. I cannot wait until we are singing again, my life's blood giving you life as well.

"Earn your trust?" said Hastur, his arm returned to his side. "You are the one who jumped to fighting over petty matters."

James got home and started to collect some hunting kit he had kept, but never used since being turned, and some food in case he needed to make a quick getaway. Then, he got a map of the city and a diagram of the queen's bloodline ( to see legitimate successors if both the queen and princess were killed). He then started to plan an escape route and, just out of intellectual curiosity, began thinking about how he'd go about attacking the city, if he were these....'hunters'
