'This place is a wreck. Those kagoutis really know how to turn a place upside down', Fornar exclaimed with a smirk as he looked around.

Llela glanced up at the Altmeri woman, giving her a quick once-over. "Oh, hi, Niralie." She said, extending her leather-gauntleted hand as her darting scarlet eyes came to rest on the eyes of the newcomer. "I'm Llela, but you already appear to know that." She sighed.
"Well, some folk started yelling about an ash storm, so most of the travelers in town took refuge in here. Then, just like that, there's a bunch of crazed kagouti kicking down the door. No instigation by any of us. I am pretty sure someone set it off on purpose... I mean, it's the only thing that makes sense."

The thought that someone must have been behind the attack made Niralie uneasy. What could they expect to gain by unleashing these creatures on a tavern? "I didn't see anything when I was out there," she said, trying to remember if she'd noticed anything unusual. If there had been, she must have been too tired to pay attention to anything but herself. "But then again, it must have happened a while ago. A fight like this would have made enough noise to be heard across town." She looked at Llela. "If someone caused it, why would they do it? Does someone here have an enemy?"

Sinyail moved to the centre of the room, dusted down his robes, and spoke.
"The only thing that's certain is we are here for a reason, and whatever it is it's rather important. I took refuge from the storm in the Temple - A strange hooded man then brought me here, as the Ash storm had stopped, almost it seems at his command, I was wondering when to introduce myself when they attacked, and being stood in the doorway, I was knocked to the ground when the first one charged. Woke up just now... So, what I want to know is why I was brought here and told that here were my companions in the quest that is to come. I was also told not to trust the dark one, but as to what that means in the land of dunmeri...
All that's certain is something is happening."

"Well said. Prehaps it was fate that brought us all here. Prehaps not. Either way, it doesn't matter. What matters is that we are all alive and no-one was killed or fatally wounded. I will join you on your quest that you mentioned as i refuse to stand by and let people get hurt by these creatures. I am a talented healer and a powerful destruction mage. Ah, but you know not of the quest that brought you here. Nor do i. I came here for a different reason. Prehaps the Nine steered me here, prehaps not. Either way, I will seek out the person who requires able bodies and offer my help." Psyfalia replied to both Sinyail and the room. Pride covered her voice when she mentioned her skills before going back to her usual kind tone. She hoped that the person who wanted the able bodied people was in the room as she was curious and wanted to help.

Llela sheepishly half-grinned, leaning against the club's wall and crossing her arms. "Me and Llevana are guilty of that in the first degree." She said. "Crazy Nord has been after her for Almsivi knows how long."
She considered what she had said for a moment, and the slight smile slipped from her face. "Gudrun? Dammit, I had hoped we had more time..." she murmured.

Psyfalia looked at the dunmer and smiled at her before saying "If you will accept me, I psyfalia shall join you. I am a talented healer and a powerful destruction mage. I also possess the basic knowledge of the other schools of magic." Before bowing before the Dunmer. It seemed that no-one else required her healing magic so she walked over to them and sat down on the nearest chair. "I also possess several spells i've made myself which may be of use. From a spell of different elements fused into one magical orb to a healing spell aimed at healing entire groups in one go, although i've not have the chance to test most of them yet." She muttered after telling them about her custom spells. She had created several spells over the years but hadn't had the chance to test them on living beings out of fear something could go wrong and that she hates testing spells on humans, elves and beasts.

Llevana was too busy interrogating the mysterious Dunmer to hear anything the others were saying.
"You know something about this!" she accused him angrily. "A wild herd of any sort of animal doesn't just barge into towns. This was done purposefully, and you cried out about an ash storm that didn't take place. You wanted this to catch everyone off guard! What gives? And what's your name anyway?"
The Dunmer didn't answer right away. The questions were seemingly startling him.
"Raylis! Raylis Ther is my name," he claimed. Stating his name seemed to give him back his confidence. "I'm just a watchman. I saw the cloud of dust and assumed that it was an ash storm. I had no idea about the kagouti."
Llevana frowned. She obviously wasn't convinced.
"Right. Well if your story is true, the other 'watchmen' will be able to confirm it, won't they? Let's go have a chat with them."
Raylis could do nothing but agree, albeit reluctantly.
"Hey!" Llevana called to everyone else. "Me and Raylis here are going to unearth the mystery of what happened just now. Anyone who wants to tag along, feel free."

"I shall join you as i too am curious how this happened although if we are dealing with a powerful illusionist, we should be cautious. Ah, but i won't bore you with the details of illusion magic and what effects it have unless you wish to learn about it." Psyfalia told Llevana as she got up and walked over her. Her green robes bore signs of the battle. It was a bit dirty and bore a few burn marks on it. I can bound him although it would be wise to defer to someone who is more skilled at Conjuration magic then I." Psyfalia said to the dunmer whilst walking towards them. She was now standing next to the two Dark Elves.

Llevana turned to Sinyail.
"What? That's impossible. I was looking outside the window, and there was no storm. The 'howling' you heard was most likely the hudreds of kagouti stampeding across the landscape. Even if I'm wrong, I'd like confirmation from other members of the guard first."
She turned back to Raylis. "Another question for you: why aren't you wearing a uniform?"
He was indeed not wearing a uniform. He was clad in a worn leather cuirass, a pair of beige-colored pants, and leather boots. Certainly not the heavy armor of the Legion.
"I'm a scout," Raylis replied. His tone had turned sour. "Can I know with what right you are berating me?

"If you are Legion Scout, you would have better armour then that as i think the legion wouldn't give their men leather armour. And i see no legion insigina's on the cuirass." Psyfali informed the two dunmer. "But questioning him won't do us any good as he can easily deny it. If he truly is a legion scout, then he won't mind if we take him to the nearest outpost and check if what he says is true." Psyfalia said to the two dunmer whilst crossing her arms.

"Can you identify yourself as one of the Legion?" Llevana countered Raylis's question. "If you can, I'll stop unrightfully berating you."
The Dunmer ground his teeth angrily. "Fine!" he finally snapped. "I'm not one of the Legion. But I'm working with them. I had permission to be on that tower. We can go find the commander right now, and he'll confirm it to you."
Llevana wasn't particularly moved. "Great," she drily replied. "Let's go do that."
She gestured at Llela and whoever else wanted to follow.

Niralie longed for a good night's sleep, but she figured that this inn probably wasn't ready to rent out rooms at the moment. Besides, her curiosity was piqued. Something unusual was going on here, and whatever it was, it promised to be interesting. "I'll come too."
