Yes, Whiterun seems to be really bad for npc repetition!

Heh, try walking out of Lakeview Manor and immediately getting one-shotted by the elder giant berserker that spawns right next to the door. That was a fun day.Sir Jam 'O' Lock wrote:Dude, don't get me started. I hate it when there is an automatic save spawn kill. Grrrrrr especially when you're talking down dungeons of DEATH with falmoor in there.

Raity wrote:Ok, here we go:
- All questlines are too short
- Too easy to join factions
- Choices made by the player don't matter - quests/questlines wont take different turns based on your decisions, you can't fail them, you can't betray anyone
- Essentials (beside it being hand holding on Bethesda's part, it is impossible to eliminate witnesses, as they pop up again to fight you in a manner of seconds, not even going unconscious for a few days, immersion killing)
- Condescending/oblivious NPCs - You're daft, mundane, and stuck at it. Nothing you can do to change it - you can be the archmage of Winterhold, the savior of Skyrim, a war veteran, or just generally an all around intimidating fellow, but everyone will treat you like the dirt you were at level 1. This makes it impossible to stay immersed in any character that isn't a barbarian/sellsword/idiot
- Dialogue options that make you seem daft in the first place
- Mundane quests - go here, fetch/kill this - nothing interesting ever happens in Skyrim, there's no painter stuck in his own painting, no local nut suspecting a conspiracy against him, nothing.
- Dragons are too common
- Not able to purchase a house without killing someone... I mean, really? I have to clear out your city of drug dealers/slay a dragon/fight a war/stop the awakening of an ancient necromancer/ fight a group of angry forsworn/bandits etc. just to be able to buy a home?
- Easy puzzles
- Tiny, unconvincing cities
- Lack of unarmed/athletics skill trees
- Again, lack of recognition for doing anything - saving Skyrim (hey, thanks bro, now, no lollygagging), killing the emperor (yeah, sure you can join the legion), finishing the civil war (noone seems to notice it being over) etc.
- The Blades
- Kodlak dies? Meh. Aren dies? Meh. I have to kill Mercer? Fine, why not. Nothing emotionally engaging ever happens.
Oh man, all of this. :CFinn Wolfshorn wrote:You know what doesn't really make me mad but annoys me nevertheless? Skyrim's way of converting all clothes and armour you find/buy/loot into the models fitting the player's gender, making it impossible to cross-dress. So what you're saying is, getting your ass handed to you by a bandit makes you mad.Dohvakiin2012 wrote:It makes a bit of sense that draugrs and bandits use some magic. But when I get a really bad ass mage bandit my blood boils for some reason.

Well, considering that our character kills dragons on a daily basis and devours their souls, I would think that we should be able to handle a few lowly bandits. So yes, dying to bandits is a bit frustrating.Hrolf Alfblod wrote:So what you're saying is, getting your ass handed to you by a bandit makes you mad.Dohvakiin2012 wrote:It makes a bit of sense that draugrs and bandits use some magic. I have to laugh at all this, because otherwise I would scream, and I have killed a few of these annoyers when the frustration got too much. Yes, a quick hello would do after a few times. I know the programmers have it that way so you will engage the people and find things out..but I do not think Nazzim has any real purpose in my world.Sam wrote:"Do you get to the cloud district very often? I feel your annoyance Andy.

My assassin-type characters always kill Nazeem. And Heimskr. And Andurs, the cheapskate priest of Arkay. Of course, if they end up dying to vampires or dragons on my non-evil characters, I certainly don't complain.Ursula_Melaninbjork wrote:I have to laugh at all this, because otherwise I would scream, and I have killed a few of these annoyers when the frustration got too much. Stolen horse is a crime no matter what or who's.Greenlantern wrote:I was just in the Hjaalmarch hold? The one where Solitude is in. And i was at the stormcloak campl, and i killed all the stormcloaks there, and took a horse to get away from the leader, who iis essential.. (Even tho i have a mod thats sposed to take away the essential status.) Anyway, back to the horse.
I was close to solitude, at that mill right down below it. And i got off the horse to check out my character. I hd used console commands to get some imperial armor. And, after decidng he looked pretty darn cool, (I have a mod that changes the looks of the Imperal armor,) I got back on the horse. And i get a bounty.
For petes sake, i stole it from the stormcloaks! Why the heck do the guards in an impeial hold gve a crap?

Nazeem I can understand. Heimskr, I think is great so I could never kill him. Andurs though... that quest has one of the most realistic rewards. Priests aren't supposed to have a lot of money. Why kill him.perylousdemon wrote:My assassin-type characters always kill Nazeem. And Heimskr. And Andurs, the cheapskate priest of Arkay.
