After much deliberation:

A female Argonian sort of shaman-like mage. That is, good with alchemy, likes the outdoors, goes everywhere barefoot, uses a natural wood staff, red facepaint and feathers as a face option, etc. I'm goin to try roleplaying her as much as is convenient.

Also, she will be bisexual, just because.
^^^^^^ This man is clearly insane.

My Skyrim Character
Name: Alga Highlander
Race: Nord
Sex: Female
Age: 18
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown (blind left eye)
Fitness: Scrawny
Other features: Dirt-faced with scars
Home: None (She sleeps in the inns and taverns if she can afford a bed)

Alga is an orphan beggar with no home. Every day, she struggles to eek out a living in the streets of Riverwood. She's hungry most of the time, and she'll do just about anything to get enough money to eat and sleep under a roof.

If she (and I) are lucky, she'll find herself an empty shack out in the wilderness that's safe (both container and enemy-wise) for her to live in.

Hmmm...I might end up doing a journal fic about her! 8D

i like magic and i like swords! so i guess a Mage warrior. i also hope they have a Katana in skyrim (my favorite type of sword). as for race, end up with a Breton or Nord or Khajit. (if i choose a Khajit, i'am naming my character "J'Ghasta" that's right, the name of the Khajit in Oblivion you have to kill the house basement. (he my Favorite Khajit in all of ES)

I finally decided on a Orc (that is a quarter redguard). An axe and spell kind of feller.

Theyador.
Male.
Dunmer.
Ninja Prophet.
Hooded Light Armor.
Stealthy using Bow and Destruction and Conjuration Magic.
Enchanted Katana as last resort when cornered or low on magic.
Skilled in Alchemy.
Blunt, Heavy Armor, Hand to Hand will be the skills left out besides skill books and the occasional training session.

Mostly good, but steals when needed or in a jam. Fights evil with evil.
Always end up Master, Arch-Mage, Listener. Do every quest to get the full experience.

Homosexual (with an Argonian) Orc archer...
Nah im gonna make a Nord Blade/Blunt user who starts of basically good (In the Companions and Imperial Army) but when he finishes their respective questline he discovers a naughty side of him and proceeds to do odd jobs for the Thieve's Guild and DB

My first playthrough will be with an Imperial treasure hunter/Assassin, and he will be an archer and use poisons and magic.

He will go from being poor and almost executed to leader of one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the world, The Dark Brotherhood. :Twisted Evil:

I tend to make several saves for each type of character (Warrior, Mage, Assassin for example), but my preferred style is definitely stealthy. The only problem is... magic is so damn awesome now. I guess I could make a well-rounded or stealth/magic character, but I prefer to just specialize in one field.

The main problem lies in the fact that I make sure my characters have rich backstories and personalities... and I've grown so attached to my Oblivion characters that I'm 'carrying them over' to Skyrim. My Argonian - an assassin - became the Mad-God, so I'm going to say he got immortality or prolonged life due to this status, which explains his longevity. In addition, I can tie it in to why he's being led to his execution (Wanted criminal). My Mage character could have unlocked the power of increasing lifespan, perhaps by dabbling in Necromancy. My Vampire character... well, that speaks for itself. As for my Warrior character, he'll be a descendant of my Warrior in Oblivion...

The only problem is getting past how they're supposed to be 'Dragonborn', but I'll work out an excuse...

High Elf & Nord

Post by Estermine »

My first character will likely be male High Elf mage, who has wandered around Tamriel and has now arrested while crossing border to Skyrim, because he had some "disagreements" with guards.

Second will be male Nord barbarian with either two swords or axes. (or maybe one of both)

Name: Facaraz
Race: Breton

His story:

Raised in a wealthy family, he was a happy boy, until one night, his village was attacked by bandits and his entire family was killed, except him, and his brother. The money is all stolen. Poor, and without a family, they both become beggars in the Imperial City, where they both eventually rob a shop.
Facaraz brother gets caught, but Facaraz manages to get away.
He follows his brother dream to become a mage, and tries to find his family's killers, so he can get his revenge.

I'm still deciding whether when he finds them he kills them and turns rogue, or if he gets corrupted sometime and becomes a kind of necromancer and never looks for the bandits, or maybe turn to necromancy and makes the bandits suffer for all eternity or if he becomes all good and doesn't kill the bandits, and becomes a wise mage, what do you guys think I should do?

I think we need one last item of DLC for Oblivion, a border post in the Jerall mountains where our most-beloved characters can cross into Skyrim. :(

There's a dunmer vampire in Deepscorn Hollow who damned Lucien Lachance's soul to eternity with Mehrunes Dagon. She plans to travel to Skyrim to seek the first of her kind, the Blood-matron Lamae. And she hasn't yet slaked her thirst for vengeance against the Dark Brotherhood.

Would only work for vampires or elves. If I'm not mistaken, 200 years is quite a while.

As always, I am making a Dunmer Battle-Mage. I always enjoy magic of the destrctive kind but I find a melee weapon useful for close-quarters combat.
The combination has always worked well for me.
Besides it fits into my characters backstory.....he's the same Dunmer that was the hero of all 4 tes games so far. He was formerly a daedra lord who fought the nine divines. He was defeated, and as his punishment, he must serve the gods in protecting tamriel. And he's Dragonborn because Martin granted him the Septims dragon-blood before turning into the avatar of akatosh.
Maybe not the best solution, but I can't find any other way to make him the Dovahkiin...

My first will be an all-around Rogue: Sneaky, fast-talking, dual-wielding, treasure hunting, and likely a Cyrodiil. He'll basically see what trouble he can get into without getting stepped on.

Well, it looks like I'm stuck with playing my character's great great great great grandchild.

Actually, I've always set the age slider to near the minimum with my characters - I like to start their story from the beginning. I'm starting from a clean slate with my first character - he won't have any connection to previous characters except that he will come from Cyrodiil.

He'll be a bard setting foot in Skyrim for the first time. He'll either be a Nord or an Imperial descendant of a noble Nord family looking to explore the land of his forefathers. He'll be youthful, charming and blessed with endurance . He'll have naive, romantic notions about Skyrim and he'll make mistakes ... I imagine he'll make quite a lot of mistakes.

I quite like my current Oblivion character: A Redguard that doesn't look very Redguard-ish, but took over Cyrodiil, or well, is still trying at the moment. I think I will do a family member of his, maybe the son of the son of his son, or something like that, that wants to try to conquer Skyrim, because a civil war is the best moment to take over the power. :)
Another character I want to make must be really romanesque. And I want to make a wizard, with a big beard.
Apart from that I have no ideas yet.
Me: "So, how did you get this rich?"
Random Jarl: "I'm the Jarl and so were my father, grandfather, and his father. How about you?"
Me: "I've just spent some days chopping wood."

Name: Drushal
Race: Dunmer
Specialization: Mostly magic with a little combat thrown in to keep things lively

Back story: Born in 4E 180 to two Dunmer parents who have fled Morrowind, and became farmers and merchants in Cheydinhal. He was gifted in the arcane arts, namely destruction and conjuration, along with being quite proficient with a blade. He also had a darker side that was fascinated with things such as necromancy and he would fantasize about killing people when he was in a bad mood. When he was 17, he got in a fight with a beggar, whom he killed. Two nights later he was awoken by a unnamed speaker of the Dark Brotherhood, the speaker offered him a chance to join the Dark Brotherhood if he completed a task. The task was to kill both of his parents. The darker side of Drushal was intrigued and so he accepted. One week later, while his father was out in his farmlands, Drushal killed his mother in the basement of their shop/house. When his father returned home that night he led him down to the basement and killed him too. Then Drushal set his house ablaze and fled to the Cheydinhal sanctuary where he was greeted my a Nord and given a special set of leather armor. He worked with the Brotherhood for many years and eventually became a speaker himself and was put in charge of the Cheydinhal branch of the Brotherhood. He enjoyed his life and position until one fateful day when a new member joined the Brotherhood. This new member was very talented and rose through the ranks very quickly. Drushal feared that this new member would try to seize his power, so one night Drushal led the member into the ancient ruins of Fort Farragut. Once in the ruins, Drushal told this new member that they were here to kill an old necromancer. Drushal had secretly summoned many undead in the weeks prior to this, and once he and the member had made it into the Fort, Drushal summoned a mighty skeleton warrior and fought the member. Drushal had underestimated this members power and so the battle lasted a long time, even with the help of his undead warrior. After a long and tiring battle, Drushal managed to to let loose a fireball which hit the member in the face and then skewered him through the heart. Of course Sithis saw this and told the Listener to extract revenge by casting a spell which would drain Drushal of all his power and abilities and leave him as he was when he joined the Dark Brotherhood. Drushal, who was weak in the days fallowing his battle had no strength to resist and was drained. Once the deed was done, Sithis contacted Drushal in a dream. Sithis told him that in order to join the Brotherhood again he would have to go to Skyrim and find find the branch of The Dark Brotherhood which was stationed there. So in the year 4E 201, at the age of 21, Drushal crossed the border into Skyrim where his story will pick up in 8 days........
