The 'What happened to you today' thread
Moderator: Tea Party Mods
Today I went to my boyfriend's mum's house for dinner, and had to chase his little cousin Bethany around the garden pretending to be a monster. She was really very naughty today, throwing things at me and such like, and throwing a tantrum when I told her off. She's usually very, very good, I've never seen her throw a tantrum before in the two and a half years I've known her. But I think from what I've gathered (I'm not entirely sure, just what I've heard from conversations, I don't want to ask and look like I'm being nosy, so I might be wrong) her mum's been diagnosed with cancer, so probably her acting up like that is her way of dealing with it. D: She's only 5, so she probably doesn't really understand.

Today was the last day of Finals. Hooray.
The Finals were Science and Social Studies.
Today would be the day that gave me my run for the money.
So, here's my Nick's Hardness Scale:
6. English
Simple. All you need to do, is use FireFox frequently, and have a basic concept of prefixes and suffixes. And also know how to write long expansive things based on a few facts and ideas.
5. Religion
Easy. Simple as that. There may be some things that'll throw you off. Once in a blue moon.
4. Grammar/Language
If you know the 10 basic parts of speech, done deal.
3. Science
Chemical Properties/Changes / Physical Properties/Changes
2. Social Studies
Name the 7 or 8 Articles of the Constitution and the First 10 Amendments in order. Then map out the Mid-Atlantic and South-Eastern areas of the United States. Rest is easy.
1. Algebra
Gives you the toughest time because you have to solve things out. X's and Y's all over something else over something can be critical on my brain.
If they didn't make Algebra Multiple Choice (Thank GOD for Scantrons) Algebra would be very hard.

Being easy as pi isn't the correct term for my mind.Dogmantra wrote:1. Oh come on! Algebra's easy as!

:P
Which for someone reason my mind can make complicated and elongated scripts but not easily solve an 8th grader Algebra question.

Someone named it up to the 1000th decimal place. Do that, and you are God.Dogmantra wrote:Hehe...Kestral wrote:Being easy as pi isn't the correct term for my mind.
I have uhh... 20 decimal places of pi (3.14159265358979323846) memorised? So I suppose that I'm not exactly one to talk about the average difficulty of tests. I'm sure you did fine.

Thanks Weka. Today I am feeling a lot better and can walk a bit more. Won't be able to go to swimming training for another 6 weeks or so. And I also miss out on our school's cross country.weka wrote:Get well soon Coulsonji!Coulsonji wrote:2 days ago I had an operation and now I can hardly walk

I woke up, kissed my bf good mornin, woke up for real, went for a nice walk, ate brunch, checked my messages, debated the meaning of life with the voices in my head, posted the results on here, decided to come back, laughed with Weka at Leroy calling her old, shot Caz a few times, ate Linner, laughed at Caz for being half-male, and then posted in here.

The internet was working fine for me earlier, so I didn't make any tweaks. When was playing Halo 3 I was told my NAT is not open. I had fixed that a few months ago, now I'll have to do all of that research again because I don't remember how to open it! On the bright side though, I got 23 kills in one game, my personal best!

So I woke up at about 12:30 (which is actually early for me at the moment...), checked all the fora I frequent, made a few posts. Made an Order of the Stick avatar, and now I'm going to play TF2...

Nothing special today until lunch. When me and my friends sat in the
cafeteria we heard something. Next thing that happens is that about ten
people walk by playing and singing When the saints go marching in.
WTF?! They walked through the whole school while playing the same song
over and over again. I have no idea why.
And our teacher allowed us to finnish half an hour earlier on our last
lesson. So we went outside where one class had arranged something. You
could play volleyball and there was a band playing. And you did get free
COOKIES!!! So instead of having a lesson we ended up sitting in the
sunshine and just talking. That's what a friday should be like!

Yesterday some particularly astute colleague of mine noticed that we have to submit a demo video for our Interactive Music Systems assignment, which is more or less what it says on the tin, so four of us clubbed together and filmed all ours today. It was quite time-consuming but very very funny - putting four 21-year-old men in a room for an entire day, unsupervised, was never going to be particularly civilised. We decided to all wear my labcoat while we presented our videos just because we thought it would make our tutor laugh. I might post my video on here because I think it's (not really) an absolute masterpiece.

I got a puppy today.
3 month old, half border collie half something small.
Here's a pic.
This wasn't a total surprise, I was told me might get one when we move. But I'm moving sometime in late June, so I wasn't expecting anything for a while.

Yep, I'll back leroy up, from what I remember, he was actually commentin on how my hobby seemed to be abit too old for me. ....but then maybe at my age I don't remember things quite right anyhow!
My day?:
Strawberries, strawberries, everywhere
Blue skies, warm sun, a breeze in the air
Red and sweet, sun warmed and ripe
...just don't try eatin them with tripe!
Ok, so I prob should have changed the 3rd row when I landed up with nothin to rhyme! This w/e shall most def involve Sonnenbaden!

MY DAY?? YOU'RE REALLY ASKIN??
Oh god my day was awful.. I watched a gay flick last night (kinda gettin into those since they're the only way I can connect with the culture) and it ended awfully. It's an interview movie called Poster Boy that leaves everything at the end either unexplained or left horribly wrong. Read the last paragraph of the plot summary... It'll tell you everything.
THEN I got to sleep at 4 last night after wrestling my GI tract (Which I'm STILL doing), had to wake up at 5 to set up a garage sale that I ran with my mom until 2 P.M. I'm so tired I could fall asleep right--.....
(P.S. the URL aint workin so here's the real link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poster_Boy_(film) )
