I agree with Mars.
I think it's going to be terrible. Usually when a game developer sells the rights to their game to someone else, who then continues to make them, they turn to [&@%!].

Usually. First of all, 343 consists of many of the folks who worked at Bungie, including the lead designer. That alone tells you that they're not throwing the franchise to the dogs.Believe wrote:I agree with Mars.

I dunno. i'm not convinced. After 343 made Reach multiplayer almost unplayable for a while, and even now they keep [&@%!] with playlists, I don't have alot of confidence in them.
That said, I will give them a chance, I will play the game. But i just don't have high expectations of it.

ZB wasn't the best, but Bungie set them up with a crappy system anyway, they can only do so much with a simple title update.Believe wrote:I dunno. i'm not convinced. At least with 4, theyll be doing it their way from scratch.

Re: Halo 4
My point was, that I didn't have ANY trouble with Reach before 343 took over. It ran as well as you can expect an online game to run.BlackDrake wrote:There wasnt really that much they COULD have done with it.Frost Mage wrote:ZB wasn't the best, but Bungie set them up with a crappy system anyway, they can only do so much with a simple title update.Believe wrote:I dunno. i'm not convinced. As soon as 343 took control, I had all sorts of issues. 10x as many games crashed, there was waaay more lag, and other (admittedly minor) things. I do have to say that they seem to have ironed a few things out since then, but it still left a bit of a sour taste.

Re: Halo 4
Thats expected I suppose...I did that with 3, when they played around with the playlists so that each one had its own EXP/Skill rating...that drove (and still drives) me potty at the best of times.Believe wrote:My point was, that I didn't have ANY trouble with Reach before 343 took over. At least give 4 a go. Hopefully they wont screw it but at the moment, it seems like they've outdone themselves.

Oh yes, I will play it.
I won't actually buy it myself, but I have several Halo-mad friends who will.

And that's totally fine, but the fact remains that most hardcore Halo fans prefer Halo the way it was before Reach.Believe wrote:My point was, that I didn't have ANY trouble with Reach before 343 took over. It ran as well as you can expect an online game to run.

Oh, I do too. I just didn't see how bringing up any of the better Halo games was relevant to a conversation about 343.Frost Mage wrote:And that's totally fine, but the fact remains that most hardcore Halo fans prefer Halo the way it was before Reach.Believe wrote:My point was, that I didn't have ANY trouble with Reach before 343 took over. Hence why I was only using Reach as an example. Cos it's the ONLY example.

Re: Halo 4
Ah, I understand now. Well, Bungie did create Reach, and what 343 did was what they thought was the only thing that would bring true Halo players back to Reach, and it worked in some ways, and in some ways, it didn't, like you pointed out.Believe wrote:Oh, I do too. Those helmets look pretty badass, although are you sure that's legit?
I'm pretty sure that "Rouge" WON'T be the name of a Spartan Helmet...

Re: Halo 4
If that was aimed at my earlier comment, I was just making fun of the spelling mistake. I'm still sure there will be no "Rouge" helmet.Lindai wrote:The Rogue helmet was in Halo 3.
If it wasn't then..... Well, I don't really have anything to add.

Warthogs are the coolest fictional vehicles. I love the way they drive. My favourite vehicle from any game.

Flood mode? Flood mode.
Am I the only one who loved having the Flood as enemies in the campaign? Sure, they were challenging but very entertaining nonetheless.
