This means between now (August) and the end (Decemeber); we'll get alot of maps.

As they've been working on exterior cells for alot of the places.

http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23067 Here you go for screenies.

The main thing slowing them down is Interiors and quests and so on, as I think they seem to have gotten a lot, if not most of the exteriors done.

Thanks for the link too!

That sounds good. Very good. And yes, I'd like to see the Indoril as well. To me, they sound a lot like the Redoran mixed with the Dres, and their fanatical Temple loyalty might make for some nice quests.

I also found this thread, detailing the future map plans. I'd say that Dres is coming last because they're actually creating Dres architecture from scratch, rather than working off that which we saw in Morrowind and Tribunal.

I'm really, really looking forward to the Dres. And the Indoril. I hope they give you the chance to ascend to their top spots like with the vanilla Houses.

I'm also really looking forward to Indoril and Dres, Indoril in particular, as I'm fairly captivated by the Great House system itself, and I'd go a long way for a good Great House questline exploring the two missing Houses.

I'm also looking forward to the Hlaalu territory in Narsis District, for a somewhat obvious reason 8).

What about the Heartlands? Lots of lovely Hlaalu stuff and that retro Vvardenfell charm. I've already got one of my favourite houses sorted out from it (the Telvanni, obviously) but I'm very keen to see the two mysterious and bad guy houses that haven't been explored at all yet. If they're good enough the Indoril will probably replace the Telvanni as my favourites.

Heartlands counts as Narsis District, going by the Lore terms, rather than the TR claims maps (should have made that clearer though). But really, I'm looking forward to everything. The Dunmer just have such an engaging culture, and Morrowind is such a vibrant place, that it's hard not to be enthralled, and from TR's work so far, the rest of the mainland will do the province justice, more than.

I sometimes wonder if Bethesda could have done such a large-scale project with Morrowind anyway, or whether they would have just resorted to partial random generation for the wilderness, as per their original plan.

Hmm, indeed. It's a shame they can't put any really big stuff in it though. I reckon Bethesda could engage with them on it so that they could do things like add lore. Unlike a certain person who decided to add lore without being in Bethesda, they clearly show a good understanding and respect for the background and style of the games, so they could add to it if they were careful.

I'm sure Bethesda has the capacity to meet with the TR team and even to 'mentor' them, or even employ some of them. I think TR does a good job on the Lore side of things, although there are a few things I would do differently myself, partially because I'd be running with the old concept map done by Bethesda as a much more definite guide, and because I'd be using names as the wiki does, e.g. Thir instead of Thirr. But those are minor things. Imagine getting to sit down with someone like Michael Kirkbride or Todd Howard. It'd be simply amazing and I'm sure that they'd be able to shed a fair amount of insight onto the province, even though I'd say a fair amount isn't set in stone about Morrowind, or anything for that matter.

You people crazy, you make me look like an informed man.
I hope they give you the chance to ascend to their top spots like with the vanilla Houses.
Of course! You also get your own stronghold and be the leader - but only if you maintain neutral in Vvardenfell (don't join the other Houses).

You can be of any race to join Indoril, you aren't forced to join the Tribunal Temple and so forth.
To me, they sound a lot like the Redoran mixed with the Dres, and their fanatical Temple loyalty might make for some nice quests.
Nope, Redoran are more individualistic than the Indorils.

As according to another high member on their chat; but Indoril is like the honorable House Redoran.

Though they aren't like Dres, as they only condone slavery as a tradition. They can be seen using it in Telvannis District (which they are hostile), but they very much a charitable House.

Which Dres has little known for it, other then they are slavers.

I think that’s a sadly biased view of House Dres Velothi :P. In fact, House Dres fought to abolish slavery, against Redoran and Indoril, even though it would have crippled their economy. Anyhow, I hope they don’t portray House Dres as purely driven by slavery, there’s more to House Dres than that. As for House Indoril, they do tend to correlate with House Redoran, however they are more Temple linked and probably even more traditional. As far as charity, they are known to give and in doing so, to ‘buy’ the peoples’ adoration, so their quests should have a fairly different focus to House Redoran’s, although I’d expect them to be similar to the Temple.

I hate them because they did it for all the wrong reasons - opportunistic ones they took the moment they could have power to cast Indoril and Redoran into the dust and be one of the more powerful Houses. (As technically the two power-houses are Telvanni and Hlaalu.)

I think I can even love Hlaalu more than I can try to fathom any love for Dres.

Also, Indoril power will be based in Almalexia. The King is a political irrelevance as it depends on the House Leaders on the power of Morrowind.

Since, really, if they made the King as we think he is; we'd be screwed.

The Great Houses (particularly Indoril and Dres) and the actual land of Morrowind itself.

See, that's another thing. By Lore, I'd call Hlaalu's Distirct Narsis District, and I'd have it placed more to the north, in the crook of the Thir river, not down in the south, which is more swamp and Dres area.

Still, I am looking forward to it nonetheless.

Also, everyone knows that Antelluvian Secrets is a beta. right?

Yeah, they haven't finished it yet, but the next release is supposedly well on the way, as is Sacred East's first release, although now they are supposedly not releasing maps until they are 'finished', iirc.

So when Sacred East is released, Antelluvian Secrets will have quested-areas. This means more Temple quests, more Telvanni quests, and so forth.

Since, if you haven't noticed, most of the quests take place in Upper Telvannis.

Yeah I think that's the plan. I'm not 100% but I think I remember reading that Sacred East would be released as version 1, not as a Beta. That means it will be fully quested and all, if I am remembering correctly.

If so - that is why it is taking long.

And I've had my chats with the modders - and the Questing department is slow as a snail compared to the interior/external designers. Why? Well remember of how a quest is made.

Put dialog, make it original, change the world in a way, make it dynamic, make it lore-worthy and entertaining.

Quest-Making is the most difficult part of what TR is doing at the moment.

The exterior team flew through their side of things a while back, interiors and quests do seem to be the more time consuming tasks.

Interiors are also done.

The Questing department, however, is still working.

If you complete the quests for the Mouths in Port Telvannis, one of them will hint at the councillors themselves having more quests to come in the future. I'm assuming that Secrets will contain those quests.
