Hey Kahn... you want the very best armor you can find (and a full suit of it), a near-full inventory of food (If you can choose swordies do it, I was combat level 59 and I still almost died with like 16-20 lobsters because the d*** dragon kept on using its fire breath every other hit). Also, a strength or power amulet helps too. As for a weapon... anything rune will do, but you do NOT want a 2h... they hit way too slow, even a battle axe and warhammer would be pushing it speed-wise unless you have a high enough strength to make up for it. And don't forget the anti-dragon shield. It's an absolute must.
And Lunar... the weapon sounds decent enough, though you might wanna up the arrows to steel or mithril at least. Don't know your level though
and the blue dragon hide... I don't know the defense stats on that, but it'll definitely help reduce the fire-breath damage. Which reminds me. The weapon will NOT do. You need a 1-handed weapon so you can hold the anti-dragon shield (or some other type of dragon shield works too, I've heard). Unless you want the dragon doing 30+'s to you.... And just like I told Kahn, lots and lots of high-quality food.

Lol, well when you said c-bow I thought you meant composite... not cross... lol. My bad.
So I guess crossbows are the metal-types and composites are the tree-types, yes? Alright, I'll remember that now.
Anyway, yeah that should be good. But like I said, might wanna kick up the ammo to steel or mithril... you're going to want to do a lot more damage than iron bolts will give you.

It absorbs MOST of the damage. By most I mean that I think the fire-breath is capable of like... well... a lot more than most people can take in one hit (including myself I think). The maximum damage it can do with the shield equipped is 10... but when I was fighting it the 10's kept coming...
When it didn't use the fire-breath I almost took no damage at all thanks to all the rune I was wearing.

Yes, but it still has a chance of hitting 7s, without it, Evalrg can hit in the 30's

I can kill Mossies (Moss Giants) Within 15 hits...but then again, I think they have only 50 H.P.

By the time I finish saving for that Sara platebody... my strength should be high enough to kill a mossie in 4-6 hits. But that's because I use a rune weapon... (and I'm thinking of trading in my scimmy for a rune long, should I? I had one before I quit but then on a random day I decided to log in, attack someone in the wildy, and then died... kinda miss the thing
)

I'm just debating because I go all OCD-ish planning out my higher levels and equipment, so I'm gonna have the sara plate, and I intend to get a few skill capes (defense, health and prayer are the ones I want most but I'll probably end up with strength... not attack though) even though it'll take me months and months to do so. And since those first 3 skill capes I want all have white which goes with the sara (the defense has blue which goes with the rune base armor, and the prayer has the symbol to go with the saradomin symbol on the front of the plate) and I wanted a weapon to match all that. The scimmy handle is just a bit... big. Too much gold, you know? A rune longsword just seems like it'll fit the whole theme better. Anyway, easy fix. I'll wait to switch to the rune long until I've got all this stuff. Which will be about 2 years from now.

Well, what most Higher Level people do, is buy dragon bones (Around 1k each) and bury them...Kahn wrote:I though skill capes we're member only.....?
and a prayer skill cape is rare....unless you have laods of money to buy alot of big bones...pryaer will take ages to lvl up
I would like one too though

Nope, not members only, because if they were, the skill masters who sell the capes would TELL you they were members only like every other NPC in the game that's related to member's only things.
The only problem is that half the skill capes that non-members can actually achieve (like the hitpoints cape) are located in members-only areas. Makes me mad. So now I'm going to have to settle for just defense and prayer. (If the top level of the monk monestary isn't member's only that is... otherwise I can only get the defense cape
)
I WILL get a second cape though, I don't care what skill I have to spend a month raising to 99. I want my capes to be trimmed dang it.
Can non-members buy dragon bones? Right now I decided I'm switching between hill giants and the dark wizards to alternate between lots of gold and slightly less gold + higher prayer gain. And at the moment I've got 4 range levels left before I can finally get back to my melee combat stats. I've decided that for the moment I'm maxing strength at 75, then getting my attack to 60, and then concentrating only on defense.
