joyescape wrote:I am having some difficulty cleaning my dog, he is a 5-years Siberian Husky. He always tries to escape which consume too much of my time. I am thinking of buying booster bath replacement parts, but I am afraid that it will take some time for me to set it up. Also, I want to know if this bathing material is highly-durable enough. What are your thoughts on this product?
How much does your dog weigh? From what I understand Huskys are usually larger (75+lbs) and intelligent. They vie for alpha status so if you don't stay on top of training they can be a handful. I don't mean basic commands, but moreso a level of communication where you look at him and he already knows what you're thinking and responds accordingly.
I guess what I'm getting at is that bathing this dog will always be a pain unless you train him. I have a 75lb pit bull but bathing him is simple, he cooperates because I've trained him and I stay on top of 'daily communication' if that makes sense.
Regarding the booster bath I've never seen anybody use it but it has a high rating on amazon so it seems like a good product to me. That being said if your dog is resisting the bath I don't think it'll help much. Either way good luck!
Thank you for the tips, I guess I will try to train him first and see if it will work. If not so then I will try to seek an advice from a professional dog trainer. I don't also want to invest my money into something that I won't be able to use in a long run.

Today I indirectly met khajiitishardtospell/SortaVulcan (and by that I mean my dad met her and her family and delivered stuff from me). And ah! ^-^ It's so nice! It's a weird feeling to have an IRL connection to an online friend, but ah! It's such a wonderful feeling I feel all nice and warm inside. ^-^

It was so nice! Your dad is pretty cool. And I loved your letter and gifts, I’ve never had something like that from an online friend before! It was all so lovely, ahhh.

Finished exams last Thursday and I am happy with all of them, more-or-less. It's been like a half month of 14 hour study days so I just feel exhausted now, but not as deteriorated as I was during the period itself. It's quite sad how excited I am to go back to the gym, or run, or do anything. And to be able to not eat terribly.
I just have a thesis to do now and then I'm finished. That should hopefully be a little less intensive, especially since I'm already quite ahead of where I should be.
I'm moving in with a bunch of friends anyways, so whatever the case I am about to see my commute fall from 4 hours a day to like 20 minutes a day so hopefully means I'll have more time in the day whatever the case.

Allowed myself to go to the Cinema to see Deadpool 2 today. Holy [&@%!]! It was cheaper then i expected, the film was excellent and it's Deadpool with more Deadpool in. Easily the film of the year for me. Worth it! Also ignited a bit of a fire within myself. The fire rises again!

*sighs* So erm... as much as I try to avoid bringing up my life here unless it's positive, I erm... I feel it's worth posting. Today, Life has decided to really up the ante and I have until 1st September to find a place and will be evicted regardless of whether I have found a place or not. Just...... [&@%!]. That's all I can say.
On the positive side, erm... Deadpool 2 was excellent!

^Hope you're having some luck finding somewhere, Dov.
Today, my mother came over and saw a pic of Serana sitting about. She squints at it and goes, "Is that a picture of you?"
Me:

No, mum, it's a vampire from a videogame.
(Shoulda gone to Specsavers.)

@Aarah: I love it.
Today I went to a wreck with scuba club. It was super neat! Also I'm now a certified open water diver, so yayay. ^-^

Would be far more interesting if it were a train wreck.

A helicopter wreck. No, it was a ship wreck. We saw two different ones, actually. They weren't super intact or anything (as beginner divers we're not supposed to swim anywhere with a roof), but they were still really cool to see and swim around!

I so knew you were a vampire.. err, well was thinking it. Regardless....I'm on to you. Thank god for my italian blood I've always got garlic nearby.
How's her garden doing? I almost used some of my habaneros yesterday but I 50% chickened out and 50% didn't pick them because they're not ripe yet.
edit:

Very cool, I really need to get certified. So much to see around FL, lot of history and natural springs for cave diving.
What did you have to do to get certified, I vaguely remember you mentioning a 2 day course or something?

That's really cool, Cass! Are you doing more classes to be able to go into 'covered' locations, like closed shipwrecks and caves, etc?
Would be a great activity to do next time you're at your Florida pad, no?

In the last week, I:
Moved in with friends, which is working out quite well. It's just for the Summer, because then the place stops being rent-free, but then I also plan on moving to London.
Celebrated my birthday and got a replacement for the phone I lost a few weeks back.
Grew increasingly bored with my thesis, and spent most of the last week working on side projects that I'm actually interested in.
Got the results for my finals, which went quite well. Much better than expected.
Went to a party on Saturday.
And am going to a concert in London on Friday with my girlfriend's friend, because she can't get time off work.

@Leroy: we had to do two days of classes, with a (very easy) test at the end. Then there were 5 pool dives (we did them in two days), and 4 lake dives (which we did in two days). That’s for the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
@Aarah: I’d love to do a wreck-diving course! I’m not sure if/when I’ll do it, however. And yes, Florida sounds like a lovely place to dive. Not so cold as here (my fingers were numb by the time the first dive was over).

Not today but last week I started a new job at a cafe. It's been going okay so far, my co-workers all seem pretty nice.

That's good, Kerr. Glad it's going ok and bonus that your colleagues seem cool.
I'll have a decaff, thanks.

Also yayay for good coworkers. ^-^

Drink free hot chocolate! Also there's a robin that visits us a lot. And while adorable, is liable to poo on things.
But yeah, still early days, but I'm picking things up pretty well so far. And tomorrow is my last work day for a lil while, so the break should be nice.

Free hot chocolate sounds fab! And robins are cute, even if they make a mess. ^-^
A break will be really nice! I've got my last exam on Thursday and then I'm off for the summer (well, Grad after that, but I don't think that counts).

Today, I banged the [&@%!] out of my knee with the truck door. Now there's a slash across my flesh, bleeding, bruised, and painful. That's what I get for wearing stupid shorts.

Summer is such a busy time. >__< Updates, anywho:
- Little over a week ago I officially graduated highschool, yayayyy!
- It's REALLY TOO HOT here, and I'm not enjoying it. Also there are many bugs. I had to work outside last weekend, and it was not fun.
- Khajiit/Vulcan is coming today. ;^-^ Guys I'm not ready.

^Woo, graduation! School is now history! (Which is great for you because you like history.)
Yes, yes, hotness is not fun indeed, but...you'll have Khajiit there to complain about it with you! Yay! What fun! I hope you two have a splendid time together. I'm sure that you will. I'm glad that the two of you live fairly close and are able to meet up.

You both live in Canada and England, conversely. You know nothing of true heat, true hell.
If the humidity didn't make the 95°F+ temperatures bad enough, it's the height of mosquito season. If you have to brave the melting gaze of the sun down here to function as a basic member of society, you have to do it while being punished by bites all over the place.
I don't like where I live very much if you can't tell :I
Anywho, yesterday I recovered from a hangover and had a cute stay-at-home couples' day. Me and Trashlord made homemade rice krispy treats and watched Star Trek a whole bunch.
