No, I've never done something like that during war. I wasn't paid to do that... believe civilians aren't involved.

Re: War pillaging
No damage to Breezehome at all. There is minimal damage to whiterun, there will be defensive spikes still in some places and a burned down house (As far as i know it's from the battle), but other than that things function as per usual.cwbednarz wrote:This might be a stupid question, but how much damage is done to white run during the battle?
Are any buildings damage and shops closed.
Most specifically I am worried about my house there, it is the only one have so far. Will all my items in my storage chests be safe?

Cant say that I would kill folks for no reason...guards are enough...I dont know why but I like having people around to harass and deal with it (minus Nazeem now there is an idea)

In my Sovngarde idea, after the questline, there is a warrior's arena. You can face a slew of great Nordic heroes.Mithrandir wrote:They should bring back the Arena

wait can u do this without getting in trouble? The guards don't witness it and your soldiers simply let you plunder? That is sick, I'm going to get rich off of Windhelm loot.

As a true son of the people I would never engage in such barbarity. I get quite enough money from pillaging the graves of the hallowed dead thank you very much.

Attaboy. Arkay be damned!
Yeah, I think it would have been interesting to see the occupiers, whether Stormie or Imp, acting more... Occupier-like.

I'm pretty sure that it was mentioned somewhere that in the third era the was an expedition to see what was left of Atmora and they came back saying that It was a desolate wasteland of ice and that what little was left of the original population had either died or came back with them.

Re: DLC Speculation
I don't see any DLC for at least a few months. Till then, the community will have to make do with mods, and I don't think this is a bad thing, since rather than DLC bombing everything, it is more paced out, and allows you to fully enjoy and exhaust enjoyment of each DLC, rather than get them all at once, and spend time dashing round feeling like DLC is a chore.
Anyway, I hope they do an army DLC; I really want to command my own forces. I guess a battlethorn castle style DLC would be good, except you get multiple followers, quests, and benifits. The possiblites for this type of DLC is amazing.
Things I would like to see in army DLC
-The ability to gain 10-20 followers
-The ability to use siege machines
-The ability to rule your own small town and fort
-The ability to defend your fort/town, and attack other towns, with no bounty (You know, war is war.)
-The ability to give your followers any armour (Imagine a dark brotherhood fort!)

Re: DLC Speculation
Atmora, eh? Now that's an interesting thought. What lore potential is there? I think we could lay off the evil imba of doom for a short while, honestly.
I still say High Rock. Then again I'm heavily biased.
Edit, spoilers:
Oooh, maybe something about the Eye of Magnus? Hidden in Atmora, Thalmor dudes trying to reclaim it? Would be spicy.

Come to think of it, I was puzzled at an Arena not being in Skyrim. It seems like an Elder Scrolls essential.mr cowbell2 wrote:Maybe an Arena addition? Along with an Adoring Fan

I found the source for the 'Atmora is officially not a thing' situation.
" Expeditions to Atmora in modern times describe a place of permanent winter, with little life and no sign of human habitation. Whatever population did not succeed in fleeing to Tamriel doubtless succumbed to the ever-worsening climate many centuries ago."
-Pocket Guide to The Empire » A Pocket Guide to The Empire and its environs, Third Edition » Other Lands
And Here is the Link to the page on the 'Imperial Library'. I guess this was Beth's way of sealing off Atmora lore wise, and I don't think we can expect any DLC or future game located there. Then again Beth is Beth=as unpredictable as something very unpredictable.

Expansions
I just wanted to drop off these thoughts while they were in my brain
Solstheim expansion, what was once essentially a microcosm of skyrim would now be a microcosm of morrowind, the two great houses that did not have significant presense in morrowind would have presence here. It would be a fun little expansion, taking you to a familiar land with a facelift to be like another familiar land
Akavir, travel to a nation of akavir, to many retcons to keep track of, fighting a dragon that has tiger stripes
okay who wants lunch

Re: DLC Speculation
I'm thinking some of the DLC might increase the level cap of monsters (and adding more mobs!), allow more perks, and maybe perk resets. Id also like to see the cities "fleshed out" some, i've always felt they were way too small. Maybe have some high level 30 floor dungeon or something like that

Re: DLC Speculation
thank you for the merge, this thread had somehow eluded me > _ <
I think that solstheim is the safest bet for DLC
Major regions tend to have dedicated games, and they like to show new stuff
while solstheim isnt new, it certainly without a doubt has undergone a culture shift, it will be like a small morrowind
and it would be nice to see that alien place once again, and to get my hands on some bonemold armor
Akavir is another interesting idea, it will be the easiest way for them to make retcon (delicious retcons) and if you want dragon riding, then akavir is the most logical place to go (assuming the tsaesci still have red dragon slaves)

Re: DLC Speculation
I think dwemer can have possibilities, but more as in discovery of their last active stronghold deep beneath the earth. As to keep it possible lore-wise, it would have to be something like this:
Deep beneath the surface, there will be an immensely large dwemer city, which, due to its enourmous size, had sunk into the ground many decades ago. Back then the war between the dwemer and falmer had only just begun and the falmer still had their eyes and brains intact. Then, while the dwemer and falmer were fighting in the streets of the city and the caves that surrounded it, a very harsh winter befell over them and without any means of keeping warm, the entire city, including anyone in and around it, froze solid. Because of their frozen state, the magic of the heart of Lorkhan didn't destroy these dwemer when it was altered, or when it was destoyed. However, when the Red Mountain burned, a system of caverns running under the whole of Tamriel also opened and magma flowed through the lower levels of the city and its caves, causing the city to defrost and the war between the dwemer and falmer to resume.
A scenario like this would keep the element of civil war that vanilla Skyrim has and could even get our old friend Yagrum Bagarn (the self proclaimed "last of the dwemer") a decent end to his story (after all: with his luck, it's hard to imagine he didn't survive the eruption of Red Mountain). The quest line could then focus on bringing Yagrum back to his people and, like with the Skyrim civil war, fighting in the war, battling on large dwemer bridges over rivers of magma and in icy caves. It could even feature battles between the ancient civilised falmer and the evolved, blind and savage falmer and battles between drothmeri Tribunal crusaders and the ancient dwemer. Perhaps it would even give us insight in the dwemer's gods of logic, possibly involving the until now secluded and mysterious Hermaeus Mora. All in all, lots of potential for interesting and/or complex plot lines.
