"I don't know if you've noticed but we're not the ones driving." Lithnilillin replied with a smile.

Raul finally came back into reality, and he realized what just happened he looked nothing short of astonished.
"Rebels? For real? Actual rebels exist?" He asked the others.

The Drow man turned around and looked at the mortals through the window. "Maybe we should make this clear right now." he said firmly. "None of you are going anywhere. And you trust me when I say that none of you want to go anywhere. Those little wrist irons each of you have not only blocked you ability to use magic, but it completely emilinated your ability to cast the spells you previously knew how to cast. So now, you have to learn new spells to restore yourself to your former 'power'. And most of you should know that doing such a thing takes a long time."

The Drow sighed.

"Besides, we're not letting you go anywhere no matter what you do or say." he said to them. "We were ordered to rescue each and every one of you. We're the good guys. I'm sure some of you have heard rumors of a 'revolution' being organized by the people. Well, those are more than just rumors. They're facts. And the revolution has already started. But we need more troops to overthrow the Commission. And the ICA just brought us a fresh supply by taking you out here."

The Human turned around and looked at Aarys. "I'm way ahead of you, madam." he said.

He then turned the armored car onto a bumpy dirt path leading across the fields. Dark clouds were slowly forming above. It was about to rain. The car picked up speed.

"Rebels do in our own old apartment." Ashriel said. "I don't see why they wouldn't exist in this land."

After the Rebels spoke, Ashriel laughed out loud. "You say you're the good guys but you don't let us leave? F*ck that. I'll escape then, I don't like being held against my will."

"I can't believe this." Raul's eyes were getting large again.
"We are being saved...By rebels?
A change for the better?"
A big smile grew on Raul's face.

"We ought to just be thankful we're not still on the road to wherever the ICA was taking us... but we have every right to be suspicious, since none of us apparently know any of you, and no introductions have been offered." Laeriel shrugged as the human male turned back around.

Spoiler:
I strongly dislike your character, Matt :P
Lithinilillin decided to pay no more attention to Ahsriel until he had calmed down. Instead, he turned to the Drow and the Human.
"So, you are the rebels. How organised are you? Do you have a permanent HQ? Weapons?" he asked them.

"My name's Logan." the Human said to the eight. "And this Drow fella here is Dragovan."

Dragovan turned and glared at Ashriel. "You think we're the bad guys, you little ungrateful sh*t!?" he hissed. "Who's worse? The merciless trio of demons who have been conducting genocide on mankind for 100 years, or the people who are fighting against them!? 'Cause let me tell you somethin', kid - it doesn't get much better than us out there. So if you plan on running away and finding a happy little village of peace and happiness, you're following a lost dream."

Spoiler:
I'm trying to play the person who isn't going along with everything because it's what story says.
"Excuse me if forced labor doesn't seem like the best type of labor. It has to be in at least the bottom three. You don't produce useful soldiers by giving random citizens a sword and making them fight, you know." Ashriel said.

"In fact, I already know a Rebel group in Empire City. A very large one, with soldiers." Okay, an old woman and a blind man who both possess 'talents' according to my dead father. Ashriel thought to himself. "I could gather them somewhere out here."

"Yeah?" Dragovan said to Ashriel. "Then how the f*ck do you think we-"

Logan put his hand on the Drow's shoulder. "Settle down, Drago." he said. He then turned back to the eight. "To answer your question about our numbers, there's sure as hell a lot more than just the two of us. Who do you think fired that rocket at that jeep back there? It wasn't us. I can promise you that. We're tain' each of you back to base. We wanna make you real rebels."

Raul looked at Aarys.
He looked happy to hear those words.
"Our chance to shoot back?"
Those words rang through his head.
"I just don't want to shoot back... I want to scalp their heads and cut their throats!"
Regards.

"I'm serious. I want to go back to Empire City and pick up a few people." Ashriel stated. He was really burning with curiosity, he couldn't die - which he most certainly was going to - without knowing what his father was up to.

"There's this old term that exits that's called 'suicide'." Logan said to Ashriel. "That's what trying to get back into Empire city would be. Maybe in the future, kid. But not now."

Dragovan looked at Valentin. "The base is a fortified estate on the edge of a mountain." he said. "We've got guys up there disguised as Shards to trick the Immortal Commission and make it look like the ICA controls the site."

"I'd like to know exactly how you plan to fight back, or for that matter, what good will we do you as rebels? The ICA is...more than a match for a bunch of unorganized revolutionaries." The elf asked this soberly, gaze flicking between the two in the front seats.

"How many people are at the base? What kind of weapons do you have? How many people do you have in total? Have any big guns? Do you have a magic training system? What about a rogue training one? How about medics? I may get hurt, how good are they? Do you have agents in populated places? Know any secrets to killing Shards? Who's your leader? How did you know we were here? Do you have a contact within the ICA? How do you plan on defeating the ICA? Do you have a strategist with you? I might need to talk to him, will you allow that? When did you join, Logan? What are your specialties, Dragovan? Should I feel safe with you? Speaking of joining, how does one join this group? Is there a process? Does this group even have a name?" Ashriel poured out question after question.

Seeing that all the necessary questions had been asked, Lithnilillin leaned back, his eyes fixed on the two revolutionaries, awaiting an answer.
