[MARS]

Mars could find no sleep.

Mars could find no sleep, but sleep would find him - and never would it leave. As the other villagers slept in their houses or tossed and turned, their hearts and minds uneasy, two shadowy figures crept behind the lock on his door.

The stars glittered, burned, and faded; a thin sliver of a moon waned across the sky. Morning appeared on the horizon and brought with it a low, light fog, whose fingers brushed against the lifeless body of Mars, left leaning against his closed door for all his neighbors to discover.

Seven villagers remained...only five of whom were innocent.

Night ends; begin day.

Jc woke up. He ate breakefast and went out to see the body of his friend.
"Deadra and divines!, Hes dead!" Jc said

[Arch-Mage Matt]

Activity!!

Matt awoke and whispered a silent prayer - simply because he awoke at all. But that of course meant someone else was dead. Leliah? Mars? Videogamer? Those three were very active yesterday, and their actions could have gotten them killed. He was too upset to eat breakfast, but stayed inside his house for a while, to avoid Gamer's harsh accusations.

Savilius stayed in his house, sleeping, unaware another had died.

John awoke and got out of bed. He dressed himself, ate a small breakfast, and walked outside.

[Leilah]

Matt, it's Leilah. Not Leliah.

Leilah woke up. That was a good start. Waking up. Cats were staring at her from every direction. Experience had taught her that she had about two minutes to feed them if she didn't want to have her house filled with pitiful mewling. So she got up and fed them before even considering what her being alive meant. Realising that it meant somebody else had to be dead, she opened her door cautiously, peering out.

Gamer stepped outside, relieved that he had not been killed. He noticed the body of Mars sitting against the door to his house, then looked around a little bit. He knew that either a) Matt wasn't awake yet, or b) he didn't want to face the music. Either way, he was sure that Matt would be executed today.

"So it was Mars who died. Could have expected." Matt said sadly. He was still dressed in his enchanted overcoat. Today, however, a simple marble staff was attached to his back. He turned his head away from the crime scene. "Is it just me, or does this look like the work of two killers?" The question hung in the air.

"I don't know. It might. What, are you telling me King was innocent, and someone else is your co-conspirator?"

[Arch-Mage Matt]

Matt didn't even bat an eyelash towards Gamer. "Doesn't this look like the work of two people?" Matt asked again. "If Acunasti was innocent... but then again," Matt reasoned, "Mars did despise Acunasti. His partner could have killed him in revenge."

[Jcnator]

"I dont know, Mars was good at fighting. It would take two men to get him" Jc said with a trembling voice

[Arch-Mage Matt]

"Or women." Matt amended.

John thought over the theory. Two killers would make sense.

[Leilah]

"Two killers?" Leilah walked up to join the conversation. "That does make sense. Who would take on an entire village by themselves? It's easy to do if you have someone to share your opinions with."

"So, all we've figured out is that there's two killers, and that King was innocent. So, who's truly guilty here? Chances are, it's someone who hasn't said much, since they want to avoid getting attention that would reveal them as a killer."

[Arch-Mage Matt]

"Whaaaat?" Matt mocked surprise. "The killer isn't a wild wizard out of control? Or someone who was against Acunasti's death? Or someone who killed the person who accused him?"

[Arch-Mage Matt]
