Re: Post Your Character!
Still, even that will only give you 100 Magicka, unless you choose the Atroncah, which will give you an additional 200 at 100 Intelligence. It will probably be worth fortifying you Magicka somehow. The most expensive spell to cast in Morrowind costs 23868 Magicka (although the PC can't actually get that spell
), but there are a lot of player spells around the 75+ Magicka range.

Although if you plan on casting expensive spells, you should probably go with Atronach, not the Lady.

Name: Andaryn Salenim
Race: Dunmer (Male)
Major Skills: Light Armour, Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Illusion
Minor Skills: Enchanting, Mysticism, Speechcraft, Lockpicking, Sneak
Birthsign: The Apprentice
House Alignment: Great House Telvanni
Other Factions: Morag Tong, East Empire Company
Worships: None, prefers the words of science and logic over the law of 'false gods'
Home City: Sadrith Mora
Background: Several years before Dagoth Ur's return, while Andaryn was lecturing young Dunmer students on the subject of the Dwemer's disappearance, several Imperial guardsmen burst into the hall, and immediately arrested him under suspicious circumstances. Andaryn was moved to the Imperial capital of Imperial City for several years as he was told why he had been taken, by the Emperor's bodyguards, the Blades. Eventually the Blades told him how they thought he may be the supposed Nerevarine, and they need to send him back to Vvardenfell to stop the re-emergence of House Dagoth. When he was finally returned to Vvardenfell, his Telvanni arrogance immediately told him to go back to Sadrith Mora, but the curiosity inside him told him to go on...

Somehow, all my characters end up being a jack-of-all-trades type character. More combat and stealth, but I also do magic.

This is my main Character, she's a level eleven Monk. I've already joined House Hlaalu and I'm planning on joining the Morag Tong.
Birthsign: The Thief
Name: Taurien (Not a very good Argonian name but eh, she could have been raised outside of Argonian culture)

It seems impossible to stick to one of the main archetypes in this game, especially at higher levels. Might be a fun challenge though, I don't know. Pure magick playthrough is a true test of patience.addictedtomorrowind wrote:Somehow, all my characters end up being a jack-of-all-trades type character. More combat and stealth, but I also do magic.

Re: Post Your Character!
So, after a pretty long break I recently started this beauty of a game up again.
My current character. He's a Nightblade type who focuses mostly on Illusion magics and Short Blades at the moment. I have most schools of magic, but I wanted to focus on Illusion because I never really used it that much in the past. The stealth is also for the same reason.
Name: Sieres
Race: Dunmer
Specialisation: Magic
Favoured attributes: Endurance, Luck
Major Skills:
Short Blade
Light Armour
Sneak
Illusion
Alteration
Minor Skills:
Destruction
Restoration
Mysticism
Acrobatics
Enchant
I would post a picture... but it's throwing a wobbly at the moment and won't allow me to even take the blasted thing.

Tried something different, think it could be fun.

Willpower: 40
Agility: 30

Endurance: 65
Personality: 85
Luck: 40

Speechcraft: 40
Hand-to-Hand: 35
Minor
Marksman: 15
Alteration: 15
Illusion: 15
Athletics: 20
Short Blade: 15
Playstyle/Backstory
Scribbane is a monk in the sense that he wishes to do good in the world. He hasn't chosen to align with any pantheons (yet), feeling that it is more important to help others rather than focus on deity worship. He was arrested in the Imperial City because he was defending a beggar from the guards, who had a habit of harassing him. The guards charged him with assault, and he spent 3 months in prison. His sentence was cut short when he suggested exile into Morrowind. Thus he arrived in Seyda Neen.
He feels most comfortable using a staff of sorts, but is no stranger to unarmed combat, and is capable of defeating opponents with nothing but his fist. He keeps a reserve of darts and throwing knives to assist with tougher targets. While he is familiar with magic, he prefers using it for self defense and the arcane arts, utilizing skills like healing, shields, and teleportation to assist him. Armor is simply a burden to him, and he wears modest clothes or robes. When he can, he prefers walking places, so that he is able to assist those he meets and just to learn more about the world. Scribbane is gifted with a bright personality, and few can resist his charms.

Re: Post Your Character!
I haven't ever used hand-to-hand on a single character for some reason... how does it compare to other weapon types? I'm also liking the whole pious Monk idea Mr.Scrib.
I shall post my new character later today, I got a proper nice Temple fighter to work with now.

Re: Post Your Character!
Hand to Hand is sort of feasible I suppose. I've also never done a pure H2H fighter either, but my current character uses it as a backup, usually if his staff breaks. I've only fought rats and kwama foragers at this point, but I see the benefits. I can imagine getting a drain fatigue spell, starting with that, and then pummeling with fists and having some success.

I'm sure Hand-to-hand is pretty awesome in Combination with Restoration (you know, Fortify this and that). I already got a little Taste when I fought Gaenor with Hand-to-hand. It's interesting to say the least. Gonna try that since I'm done with all three main quests on my current character.

Playstyle/Personality
My newest character is a flexible sword and board type, with defencive magics due to the fact I want to take him into the Tribunal Temple once I've got a few levels under my belt.
He's currently a low ranking Fighters guild member, who is doing mercenary jobs to get enough money and levels together to travel North to the city of Ald'ruhn and devote himself to the protection of Morrowind and the Great House Redoran. Since he is a man of honour, he shall be making sure that he helps Percius Mercius stomp out the corruption of the Cammona Tong from the Fighters guild once and for all.
I doubt he will go with the legion despite his combat abilities, he does not care for the filthy invaders... the only faction he despises more is the 'Great' House Hlaalu (yes he is based on my views of the game).
I will be taking him through the entire main quest, and also both the expansions. I am not using any form of travel but my own two feet unless it is a dire emergency. This is for two reasons... first of all I want to absorb the visuals and the sheer beauty of Morrowind, and secondly I want to explore every inch of the island. It also gives me the opportunity for more screenshots and the like.

Re: Post Your Character!
That's a nice build you got there, Dean. I mean, I would advise you on raising your Willpower soon, but when you become higher level I guess it wouldn't really make as much of a difference. And I know you put Light and Medium because of indecision and mismatching looks awesome sometimes... And also, you might want to raise your personality a bit, the Temple likes good stuff like that. I'd say it's a fairly well-played character you got there.

Thanks, and I intend to raise my willpower and personality up to 50 once I reach level four. My endurance is something I'm trying to get up to 100 as quickly as possible, so every level I shall raise it by +5 so I can get it out of the way and focus on my other stats(the massive health boost is not shabby either).addictedtomorrowind wrote:That's a nice build you got there, Dean. Hell yeah it does. I've currently got two different sets of armour, for both mismatching and using when I need to raise one armour skill specifically. However, later on when both my Endurance and agility are full I won't have to worry about that anymore.addictedtomorrowind wrote:And I know you put Light and Medium because of indecision and mismatching looks awesome sometimes

Ah yes, the Endurance boost is needed for low-level players, not so much for high levels. Just about everything kills you. Are you going to progress in the quests early or just wander around?Dean wrote:Thanks, and I intend to raise my willpower and personality up to 50 once I reach level four. Might want to sort out your quote there mate.
A bit of both really, if I get bored with doing quests then I will just explore till I feel in the mood again. My character will have a strong hatred towards Vampires, so I will be going Vampire hunting and the like... and hopefully get infected at some point so I can do a Galur Rithari.addictedtomorrowind wrote:Ah yes, the Endurance boost is needed for low-level players, not so much for high levels. Re: Post Your Character!
Aha! Yeah, that is probably the best example of what I'm going to be up to during my travels. It gives me a roleplay reason to quest for Goldbrand at some point(I don't normally use it, normally go for short blades and staves)... it is after all the bane of all those quite flammable.
I have a lot of hopes for this character, hopefully he can achieve the goals I want for him.
